Pope Posted March 21, 2007 Share Posted March 21, 2007 I dunno why but I prefer narrow buildings that go up like towers (Durlag's, IWD1's Hand, tree trunks!) than things that go down into the ground like sprawling dungeons (sewers, caves, crypts). I regret that I didn't know about the Ascension add on when I played it because that from what I heard would have made the game much better Too bad it did not have the time like Tales of the Sword Coast had, it could have been a great add-on to BG2. I mean, I like the Alien movies, but I'm a bit leery of how it's going to pan out as a computer game. The multicoloured dungeons reminded me of Disneyland, and the ability to exit right away from anywhere was absolutely lame and killed any challenge the dungeon might have posed. The demogorgon was unbelievably easy (cast breach and hack away) too. I remember the original Icewind Dale, trekking back to Kuldahar from deep within Kresselacks tomb or Dragons Eye eager to sell of tons of loot earned from tough battles. That's what I did, and soon I forgot that you even could. I thought the first level looked very nice. The second level with the multicolour and keys were crap, but the later levels were kinda nice too..
