Darque Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 The Bozar IS the ultimate heavy weapon. Don't believe so, go up to one of the guards at NCR and punch him... then watch your character dance the dance of leaded death
Kaftan Barlast Posted June 10, 2005 Author Posted June 10, 2005 I noticed that when I snuck up to a mobster and did 450 points worth of damage :D It still makes no sense though, a sniper-machinegun? But what do you say o Darque the bloodthirsty, heavy or energy weapons? Leferd Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 It depends on how you like your death animation. Would you rather see ashes or bones and innards? "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle

But what do you say o Darque the bloodthirsty, heavy or energy weapons? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Small arms (I think that's the skill name) and go Gauss (with Energy Weapons as a backup plan)
213374U Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Any suggestions for a good gun and where I could find it? And should I buff out my Big guns or Energy weapons skill? Anything goes, but it depends on how is your character built. If you are good at making targeted shots (high PE&LK) you should go for small guns or energy weapons. If not, you're probably better off with the Bozar. edit: I killed the entire Wright family as part of my own agenda to wipe New Reno clean but nothing really happened(I didnt get a "you killed Orville Wright 1500exp" notice). Anyone have any idea if such an act has any impact on New Renos ending? Yes, removing the families has an effect on Reno's ending. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
zer"0" Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Yep, that Gauss Rifle is a real nasty killer. Punches holes through armor like it was wet toilet paper. Together with the 'Sniper' perk and enemies will be calling for their mommy. That is if they had any. Energy weapons there's the 'Pulse Rifle'. Scarce but powerful. Also 'Laser Rifle' for the long range. My Favourite weapon though... the Vindicator Mini-Gun. Heavy Metal Style: 'Fast Shot' Perk, Lots of 'Psycho' and 'Buffout' plus Vindicator . Bloody massacre guaranteed. Or your money back.
Kaftan Barlast Posted June 10, 2005 Author Posted June 10, 2005 I did find a m72 Gauss rifle at a dealer in San Francisco but he had no ammo for it. I remember reading somewhere that Gauss ammo is only really available in the final stages ...but Im doing alright with the Bozar :D and the regular minigun seems to do about as much damage or more in close quarters. I wacked a supermutant with an amazing 540-something in damage Tomorrow in New Reno there will be... Gorth Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Prostitution, robbery, theft, murder, drugdealing.. is there any way to play this game legit? Tomorrow in New Reno there will be... Darque Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Energy weapons there's the 'Pulse Rifle'. Scarce but powerful. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a 10 luck and the right level mix you can get it pretty early, before NCR even Just need a bandit encounter

Kaftan Barlast Posted June 11, 2005 Author Posted June 11, 2005 I got lost alot of Karma wiping that hillbilly scum Wright family off the planet but then gained all of it back when I wacked the Mordinos(which I was a memeber of) Were the Wrights supposed to be good? They certainly didnt seem like it. (and I didnt kill the kids, I lost karma by gunning down the key family characters) DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Good in FO is relative. They were less evil than the other families though. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
Drakron Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 They just make liquor, the other families are into gambeling, prostitution, weapons and drugs.
213374U Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 IIRC the Wrights wanted to get into the weapons business too. What other interest could they have in the SAD? I thought that losing karma for slaughtering a bunch of mobsters was pretty lame, regardless of their sign. But then again, I could never get too low a karma, even with my slaver PC... - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Diogo Ribeiro Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 IIRC the Wrights wanted to get into the weapons business too. What other interest could they have in the SAD?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC they wanted access to weapons to take on the other families. This is seen in one of the endings, where they manage to gain control of New Reno unmatched, if I'm not mistaken.

CoM_Solaufein Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 The Gauss Rifle kicked ass since I prefer to snip people from afar. I also liked seeing everyone doing the flamming dance (Flame thrower.) Kaftan Barlast Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 I never get encounters anymore I have aquired the Gauss rifle but I have no ammo. Any clues as to where I could find some?
