I'm hoping that Obsidian will have the balls to make a PC only CRPG with Chris Avellone flexing those same muscles that he used to make PS:T. Please. The world needs games like that. Set up a paypal donation fund and I'll pay you money to make such a game. I agree. When you make something or multiple platforms you have to make it friendly for each platform. And the biggest problem with this is player input. deganawida Posted January 12, 2005 Share Posted January 12, 2005 Assuming that you mean here, well, Feb. 7, 2004, 7:26 PM: Judging from past efforts by the individuals that I know of at Obsidian, and ideas that were quite good but due to extenuating circumstances were never implemented, I feel that it is a safe bet that "Project X" will be better than most of the crap that has been released the past couple of years. I mean, let's face it, with the dearth of good and deep games for the last few years, "See Spot Run" converted to a CRPG would be genius and win all the industry's rewards. However, don't let this make you think that I don't have faith in the people of Obsidian; on the contrary, I have an enormous amount of faith in them, and I am 99.9% sure that my faith will be rewarded soon enough. Having devoted a great deal of free time to KotOR2 over the last month, I feel justified in having made this proclamation. Though I do have problems with KotOR2, it's still better than any RPG that I've played in the last 3 years (sorry, Volo, but I don't count HotU as a full game, otherwise it would get such praise). This was after weeks of reading about dissapointment after dissapointment. PC Project: Van Buren cancelled, Josh Sawyer resigning, FoPoS released and finally Black Isle being closed down right around christmas time. I lurked for awhile over at Missy's. Finally found OE forums and signed up at the end of Feb '04. Decided I would be more active in the forums. Despite lurking for years at BIS boards I had 1 post, and it was in a sad farewell thread to the ex-BIS staff and Black Isle Studios. R.I.P. My first post: It was in reply to a poll about Interplay and their intentions regarding the Fallout license. I'd rather there not be a Fallout3. No one cares enough to really pull it off.Fallout 3 died with Black Isle Studios. I don't care what they do with the license....maybe burn it?? Bury Fallout forever...let the legacy R.I.P. P.S.---Sorry for the bitterness. I was even called a noob by Role-Player, though it was all in fun... I think.
