Bala_Starwarz Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 I will be choosing Male Light Side because I'm Male and I would like to see as many cameno as possibly. If there all still alive it makes the most sense. I believe that Carth perhaps even Dustil will be on Telos.
Meshugger Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 I think i'll end up doing LSM at first, since the 'real' game experience will be designed that way. In KotOR, DS seemed just to be a nice way to replayability. "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Ratamacue Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 The first time I played through KOTOR, I did it as an LS male, so that's probably how I'll go with TSL.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 lsm...looks like the majority right now too...
DesertHawk Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 FLS. Women are awesome (yea! yea!) , and lightside is what I "naturally" would lean towards. ...I think. Fnord.
Dark Wanderer Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Most likely male dark side here, even through it may mean that I won't see as many "old friends" as light siders possibly will. Despite the fact that many people who've played KOTOR has a negative view on it, I'm still very optimistic about the Februari release and can't wait to get my paws on the game :D
Wraith Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 lsm I would like to see the plot play out fully on the Lite Side before I kill everyone
Dead Skin Mask Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Male Dark Side, with the dark side begining. Same here. I only played the light side once in KOTOR can't say I liked it much. Cheers!
icebox15 Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 I'm split between DSM and LSM I wanna do LSM first just to see how the gaming is, but I want to do DSM just because I like it.
Bull Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 DSF (ensuring Carth's death). Hoping that Dustil will reappear in KotOR2 (he must survive in order to complete the romance), allowing me to wipe out the entire Onasi bloodline... I'm surprised that no one else has chosen this path.
ShinIchiro Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 I'm probably going to go obsessive like i did over kOTOR 1 and beat the game 6 different files doing all the sidequests with 20-25 hours each. LSM or LSF and then the other one. I have more fun playing LS as DS manages to sorta depress me (it's a good game when doing the evil thing can depress you). Then again DS might be more fun if you can be sinister, not a stupid thug.
Grand Edgemaster Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Then again DS might be more fun if you can be sinister, not a stupid thug. Exactly. I want to do evil acts that are on a large scale. To do evil things that actually matter. That's what a Dark Lord would do. Instead, in Kotor, we got to be playground bullies, who stole candy from babies and ran over old ladies. Not very entertaining, if you ask me. <_<
Jad'en Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Really i though that was Sith Lords were all about On a more serious note Sith Lords specialise in aspects of the force that makes others do what they want, they are clever as well. When playing Revan i felt too much of thugish bullyboy and the only times the dark side felt right was on Kassyyk where you "persuade" that guy to kill the shop owner, on manaan where you force choke the sith in the republic embassy and on the star forge systems planet where you once again "persuade" Zaalbar to kill Mission Vao.
alanschu Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 I cannot vote because I cannot say. I always try to roleplay the character the first time through (which often means I miss a lot of sidequests too, I'm after Malak dammit...no time to deal with sand people). I started out being a good guy in KOTOR but ended up being seduced by the dark side, particularly after Korriban. When I saw the opportunity to retake the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith, I went for it (which coincidentally gave me enough DS points to be all the way dark at that point....it was kinda cool).
Fighter Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 I paly as it goes, making choices on the way. I suspect it will end up LS, unless DS will be something really interesting, not bullying money out of people on the street.
Iolo Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 There should be a range of choices between light side and dark side. Not all dark siders should be as evil as Vader or the Emperor. Not all light siders should be as good as Luke. Unfortunately, I see there being only two choices, light or dark, and whether it's male or female will just adjust the final end scenes slightly.
The_Prodigal_Knight Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Really i though that was Sith Lords were all about Exactly! Vader's "Normal Day" would include killing at least two officers. It was what entertained him
Dark Wanderer Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Really i though that was Sith Lords were all about Despite the fact that many people who've played KOTOR has a negative view on it, I'm still very optimistic about the Februari release and can't wait to get my paws on the game :D
Sabahattin Dere Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 ...only times the dark side felt right was on Kassyyk where you "persuade" that guy to kill the shop owner, on manaan where you force choke the sith in the republic embassy and on the star forge systems planet where you once again "persuade" Zaalbar to kill Mission Vao... don't forget the electrocution of the Duros (?) in the Sith base on Taris; and the Romeo&Juliet conflict on Dantooine. Bounty Hunting on Taris wasn't too bad either, in fact that included one of the most evil things you could do; killing that girl (I forgot all names) who, intending to protect herself injured a gang member who wanted to rape her, and had a bounty placed on her head. Even stealing the Wraid Plate from the desperate woman on Tatooine wasn't that thuggish, since her lines were well written. Fooling the 'hopeful' waiting at the gate of the Sith academy into attacking the guard was also nice. The schoolyard bullying and the constant "what will you give me in return?" overshadowed these really evil stuff. I hope TSL has got some unsaturated evil so I'll play DS Male the first two times through. Zwangvolle Plage! M
