I was going to ask how old she's supposed to be, because she looks 14. I don't think it's a baby-face per se, just very young. Except with a mature booty I guess. Just another anime/pixie or similar influenced type I suppose. Edit: just to note, I've known some very petite (very skinny bones) females with such face shapes, but they still looked their age because skin textures.

Edit: yes I realize baby-face can mean young looking, but I mean she doesn't look infantile, and I tend to think of baby-face has still having fat in their cheeks. That chr is almost plastic-surgery heart shape.

I have never played the first game, but as far as I understand, she, like the heroine of first game is an android (someone correct me if I am wrong).

In other news, first modern FF in pixel art releasing soon.

Quote

Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved - indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.

I am Andrew Ryan, and I'm here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?

"No!" says the quest marker, it belongs to the impatient.
"No!" says the in-game GPS, it belongs to the blind.
"No!" says the witcher sense, it belongs to the stupid.

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...

Gothic.

The Gothic Remake Shows What's Wrong With Modern Games

I watched some of that new Fable long preview video, that focused mostly on npc dialogue/town activities or something. Never played a Fable.

Mostly I noticed the graphic art style and some animations reminded me a tad of Hogwart's for some reason. I saw some comments that expressed similar. Maybe it was the clothes and NPC faces.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

So Fable villainess is literally Hayley Atwell

Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind.

I had the same association. Something about the fantasy style and poor facial animation that does it.

The game itself... we will see. I like that they carry over and expand on the systemic part of old Fables. From what they show the whole thing feels too... easy? It could be just a demo, but games in which you can do anything you want at a whim don't appeal for me. I want the friction, so certain options (especially the less civilized ones) feel more tempting.

POKEMON Go apparently was used to train military AI.

Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

The original Fable was fun, even if it could never match Molyneux's ideas. Fable III had a really badly done UI and GFWL. The reboot looks fun, though the combination of the "more graphics" (the phrase describes the problem well), which just increases the system requirements and makes everything into unreadable mess, unless you either manage to cull the junk by disabling as much as you can or turn the visual accessibility options to the max, and the ongoing BDS campaign against Microsoft discourage the purchase. Still, the style seems to be close enough to the original and, from a first few minutes of the demo video, murdering non-human animals to eat their corpses is still evil.

I would imagine Google street view already has a chokehold on that department. Cool website though, I think its the first time Ive seen a page bring in information from the sides.

I think everything we do online is probably used in some way by the military industrial complex...

Also:

No game ever delivered on Molyneux's ideas. At some point (after bullfrog) it became clear he was no visionary genius, just a perpetual over-hyper.
