He is probably just upset that hey are more stylish in appearance, looking classy in formal suits

 

edit there is also 2000 people on the island, but no known trade has ever happened with the US, so somewhat unaffected by tariffs (the damage being collateral because the global economy worsens)

There's none listed on the official chart, but I believe that Trump has threatened tariffs and more sanctions if they don't make a deal. Probably not a big deal in this case with oil and gas carveouts and Russia already having tons of sanctions.

I saw, I'm laughing my ass off. I guess we export a lot of mattresses and tires, but it's all from US companies... hahahahaha...

The icing on the cake is that we conceded the ruins of our old army command building (which the US destroyed in the bombing) and the adjoining complex to Trumps son in law. The Trump hotel is supposed to built in it's place. To make it even more funny, the buildings are protected under our law as a cultural heritage. So now our cultural heritage is going to be the Trump hotel.

It also doesn't explain why there's a 10% minimum tariff on nations with balanced trade - or no trade at all, due to being populated by penguins. Although that's probably becuase they look better in a suit than Trump.

As someone who did economics in college, comparing it to voodoo and crystal ball gazing is insulting to voodoo and crystal ball gazing.

Indeed, they just added two greek letters and cancelled them out so it looks more sophisticated than what they actually did. Trump and his voters will look at the formula and go "Woah, this is complicatid stuff. Liek nucular science! Covfefe!", while in reality it just expresses the trade deficit in relation to the imports. Take times 100 for the percentage value and fiddle a little to the numbers to make them look nice (the trade deficit between the US and the EU was more like 37% in 2024, but who knows which year they took their numbers from) and put them on the giant tariff sheet Trump read from to show how mean everyone else is to the United States, and you're done.
