Did any of the "I'm leaving bioware to make my own game" guys actually make a game?

David Gaider made that musical game this year.

I was about to post making this exact point. We constantly have a stream of former-blah blah people forming new studios from which we have not yet seen a single game worth talking about. I expect this guy won't be any different.

Michelle Clough is the writer of Everreach: Project Eden, she used to work at BioWare. I've not played the game, but I have had it described to me as a Poor Man's Mass Effect. That same studio is about to release another game, Soulslinger: Envoy of Death. I don't know if she's still at the studio and involved in that.

This looks pretty sweet.

They definitely need to work on the enemy AI, though. Those monsters seemed hilariously easy to kill, and with a pickaxe, not even a firearm. Once you get past how disgusting they look, that leaves them as rather non-threatening.

True, but I still like the fact that you have a whole city to explore.

Beware though! It's a Russian game so your money goes directly to Putin.

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

If it was Xi Jinping I'd pre-order immediately. I need to stay on the good side of our soon to be overlord.

In an unrelated query, is there a way someone can scrub all Winnie-the-Pooh jokes they've ever made from the internet? Asking for a friend.

I'm still half asleep and with the way the embed displayed, I read the title as "Dine Hard". Now I'm disappointed it's not that.

Really interesting video of the history of Bethesda  and how the evolution of technology has influenced what  Bethesda can create and the success of games

Lots  of small  things I didnt know like Todds first game was Terminator at   Bethesda...I didnt even know there was  a Terminator game

And Morrowind saved them  after  the sales failures of Redguard.  Todd always comes  across in such a  likeable and sincere way

Needless   to say for all  fans of Bethesda this is indubitably another  " BruceVC must watch video  "  🥂

Bethesda did actually three Terminator games. Out of which the Future Shock and Skynet are IMHO still the best games ever released from the Terminator franchise. Although the graphics did not aged the best... To bad, they are in copyright limbo, so you can't get them legally anymore :(

And here I thought there are no games made, that I would like to play

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/small-saga-review

I cant play these very violent games anymore,  I just  cant :(

Why cant they develop  games where we all  go for a picnic and the mechanics   of the game is about making sandwiches and stopping ants from eating the cheese  or  cookies

Why must everything be about violence?????

You also get all those cool adventure games that are basically non-violent. Especially Monkey Island comes to mind with the dueling.

@BruceVCYou could give Stardew Valley a try. It's essentially Animal Crossing sans Nintendo. You can even marry in that game.

Not if they take queues from the art world.

Then they would still have the options of Meta-Ultimate Edition, Post-Ultimate Edition, Post-Post-Ultimate Edition, Neo-Ultimate Edition, Contemporary Ultimate Edition, Ultimo-Futurism Edition...
