Humanoid Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 The hardest fight in the Witcher series was the prologue fight in the castle courtyard in the second game. I wish Geralt could summon a horde of level 1 skeletons. Anyway, I bit on the CK3 expansion pass, despite the aggressively mediocre reviews. I can sort of rationalise it since the game itself didn't cost me anything on game pass. It's, eh, the same as before really. I'm largely indifferent to the Royal Court features since they're basically existing events in a new wrapper, with the one exception of the awful UI for managing artifacts. So I did the customary thing of randoming into some count, which landed me as an Armenian Apostolic two levels under the Abbasid Caliphate. I won't try to defend the material though, as I haven't re-read the books in years, and I don't know if 32 years old me, would like the same thing as 17 years old me. Those I can remember offhand are a couple of 'monsters' in Novigrad; a 'changling' who is impersonating someone and a succubus. sorophx Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 the only way to play the original Witcher game is to treat it like a NWN total conversion. that was the only reason I even bought the game in the first place and I liked it. then I tried NWN 2 and forgot about TW for a long time. BruceVC Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 My Oblivion gaming experience is going exceptionally well, Im about 110 hours into the game and Im only on level 11 due to the highly recommended Maskars Overhaul Mod. Its addresses basically every issue you can think of with vanilla Oblivion like no level scaling, slower and realistic advancement, monster variations and vastly improved mechanics on every level I also have started modding my single player RDR2 game and I dont know why I didnt do it earlier. I now have realistic survival requirements like eating, washing, urinating and sleep. I have added additional contracts, gangs, bounty hunting and hunting and herbalist skills. Plus some overhaul mods....its hard to believe how much better the game is 2 "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Bokishi Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Yeah it's from Luke Ross, and all of his mods are very well done and scalable on different hardware. There are different visual presets you can specify, depending on what your pc can handle. I've been able to get it running smoothly on a 1080ti (medium), 2080ti (high), and a 3080ti (ultra) I can get by pretty smoothly at 6K resolution maxed out on the Pimax 8KX. But cranking it to 8K resolution (native for that headset) is very choppy, but it looks extremely good (like it's the exact same game you see in the screen, but you are inside it with no visual compromises). You are almost literally in the wild west at that point. I see those visuals as a preview for what the next gen will be able to give you. Like a RTX 4090 preview maybe 2 Current 3DMark
Guard Dog Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 I have been a huge fan of Stellaris and have bought all the DLC on the day of release. They have all been worth the cost. Bartimaeus Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 (edited) What really annoys me with Paradox's EU4 was the inability to disable certain new gameplay features that were force enabled with their major patches.
