Totally agree!

As for this particular game, I followed its development for a while, but eventually dropped it from my Steam wishlist mainly because I just can't get into the game's setting/world. As a passionate fantasy fan, the world of this game seems too "techy" for my tastes. But I would be interested the thoughts of anyone who's played it.

Decent enough reviews, PCG gave it 58, did say it was very buggy.   But I paid for it, so will see how my low standards self finds it.

Yep, I realized I haven't actually had any combat in Encased either, and I am about 10 hours in. It is an option, but it offers a lot of ways to not fight.

I don't know about gamedec, but I definitely wouldn't describe Disco Elysium as an adventure game - it's RPG through and through.

Dying Light 2 has been delayed till 4 February. I am fine with that because I would rather wait till the game is ready according to the Developers than get an bug ridden game due to early release like Cyb2077 

DY2 also is bigger and better on every level so delays are understandable 

Before I went to the supermarket, I noticed Hurly got his first kill in Encased. I come back from the supermarket and the Encased devs brought out a HotFix. If the two are related, then wow, they are really fast.

Hah, I almost felt bad about that too. Some crazy guy in a ventilation shaft was my first act of violence. I could have just avoided him or reported him to security, but I decided it was time to test out all these fancy weapons I carry around. Plus I recruited an orange as muscle to escort me around, and I needed to see if he had the cajones. 

I'm playing Silver, of course. 😉

Well, that's unexpectedly good news, even if the trailer is 90% random dance party for some reason. Some may say that Elex is the most jank of eurojank games, but Outcast was in a class of its own. And it had the best soundtrack of all time.

No way!

And Outcast wasn't janky! You're janky!

Outcast was ahead of its time. As an aside, Outkast were also ahead of their time.

On a serious note, very little gameplay was shown so there wasn't time to show off all features. That said, I will be EXTREMELY disappointed if you can't go prone.

Maybe that's just for the trailer? In an ideal world you import your save game from Elex (or answer some questions at the start) and an early cutscene or two is different depending on who you hooked up with. Then Caja/Nasty gets killed off for your standard revenge motivation and off you go.

Interesting. Hard to imagine they can really nail the tone without Ian Currie involved, but I have hopes.

Everyone seemed young on that brief glimpse we got of the portrait page, it'd make me think it was a prequel but MD is there and he was meant to be a rookie in JA2. Hmm.

 

EDIT: And Ivan's English is way too good.
