Gorth Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Listening to Heilung is like stepping into a time machine. The old world before the scourge of Christianity swept over northern Europe 1 “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Azdeus Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 (edited) There is something eminently enjoyable about them, I love listening to their albums I have a spotify playlist that I listen to at work where they are featured quite alot, and I do get alot of weird looks at times when they come on, especially Alfadhirhaiti, Krigsgaldr and Hamrer hippyer Edited November 30, 2020 by Azdeus 1 Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Malcador Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
majestic Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 I've seen that video of Traust before. What's up with the weird bondage ritual? No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

Well, it is a bondage ritual. Duh! Chilloutman Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 little bit of local music 1 I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Gorth Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 More northern European stuff. Possibly an acquired taste, unless you're from there. Then it probably runs in your genes And of a slightly more martial nature: “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Gorth Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Not quite as old as the Proto-Germanic stuff, but from the year Gorth was born... ...and from a couple of years before ...and also from 1966 I think (might be wrong, will need to look it up) “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Gorth Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 A bit more Rammstein... “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein

Gorth Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I do miss the 80's... “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Gromnir Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 am not certain what this says 'bout Gromnir, but first thing we thought o' when @Gorth mentioned 80s music nostalgia were the following movie bit. is a song by the call, performed by some guy who no doubt has a name but we always identify as "the sax man." everything 'bout the scene screams 80s... although the song itself coulda' been a staple on those religious rock stations in the south and midwest as is faith focused... wouldn't be surprised to hear it right before an amy grant song on the play list. using in the lost boys context as it were is only that much more 80s. HA! Good Fun! 1 "If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence."Justice Louis Brandeis, Concurring, Whitney v.
