I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

That reminds me of an old, somewhat sexist joke (so, trigger warning).

A guy comes across a genie and the genie tells him: "I can grant you one wish."

To which the guy replies: "I want a highway to Hawaii!"

The genie goes: "Oh, come on, I can't build a highway that long across the ocean, wish for something else!"

"Then I want to understand women."

"So, uhm, two or four lanes?"

Maybe you're having a bad day, but I'm pretty sure you're not having a "tell your boss you set off the fire suppression system at the Minnesota National Guard hangar and foamed all 10 aircraft." kinda bad day... — at Minnesota National Guard.

Nononono, you got it all backwards, it's the coronavirus vaccine that's going to give you 5G and a microchip...well except for that freshly announced Russian vaccine which will give you 2G and a VHS.
