IndiraLightfoot Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Assassin's Creed Odyssey was the first installment of that series that I've played, and I really liked it, so I've just bought Ass Creed Valhalla, but this time I didn't splash out for a season pass. I'm even going through the trouble of downloading Ubisoft Connect (sadly no Steam this time around), but I know that this game will be fun enough to be great value for money. *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
Keyrock Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 I bought Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I probably won't get to play it for a while, since the download will take forever via whatever wifi I can get wherever I'm parked. New characters, new city, new combat system, same wacky shenanigans. ComradeYellow Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon Way overdo to buying this. I only put it off because I overplayed the main game and achieved all the best outcomes so I was a bit burnt out. Time to get this thing reinvigorated and pay homage.
Keyrock Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Scooped up Sniper Ghost Warrior Contacts from the Steam winter sale. I've not played the previous games, but supposedly this one is Hitman-ish, presumably with a greater emphasis on putting bullets in noggins from a great distance, as opposed to drowning people in toilets. It's a budget title, so I expect some jank (never stopped me before). It was $10 so I figured what the heck. LadyCrimson Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 (edited) Calico - some low cost indie sim/rpg with simple graphics. (Eventually) ride a giant cat! *buy-click* Medieval Dynasty - wander/explore, build up a village (that'll do work/gather stuff for you? eventually you're the boss? dunno?), hunt, collect stuff, do quests for villagers, build stuff, survive hunger/weather/thirst. Maybe if you think of something like Banished only in 3D/survival-sim format? It's been in early access for a few months and they recently added horses (if you can get enough gold to get one...). Controller friendly so no thumb-destroying mouse needed. Seems ok at the start. Edited January 26, 2021 by LadyCrimson 1 “Things are as they are. majestic Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 (edited) Nintendo recently sent me an e-mail telling me that I can buy coupons in the online store. 99€ for two full price games... means I just bought the most blatant cash grab in history, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Bravely Default 2. I wanted both anyway, and with the clock ticking on 3D All-Stars that just sealed the deal. At least I can pretend to have minimized the effect for totally falling for a cashgrab by saving 20€, even though never having played Sunshine or ever finished Super Mario Galaxy (only the second one) would be justification enough, I guess. Now there's only one tiny problem that remains. How can I get my visiting nephew to stop hugging my Switch? Edited March 13, 2021 by majestic 2 1 No mind to think. No will to break. melkathi Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) Grittier? The Shinra raid on Corel. The Nibelheim Incident. The Sector 7 plate collapse. Wedge? Dead in the Sector 7 plate collapse. Biggs? Dead in the Sector 7 plate collapse. Jessie? Dead in the Sector 7 plate collapse. Dyne? Presumed dead. Then too crazy so killed by his best friend. Barret's right arm? Shot to pieces so Dyne would fall to his death. Aerith? Dead. Zack? Dead. Under all the big eyes and cuteness and Mogs and Chocobos, jrpgs are darker than most western rpgs would dare be. I kind of like that "monsters" look like toys and spill sparkly things instead of intestines when you hit them, sometimes one needs respite from all the gore. It's certain other anime tropes that rub me wrong way.
