Kinda tempting, because RDO will be free, and apparently it's a lot better now than on start. But just thinking about having to grind up to level x again... ugh.

/edit: Oh no, on Steam a full month later?! What kind of madness is this! Such disgrace! Shame!

tbh, I don't mind Steam getting some competition. Maybe that will better the Steam service in the long run.

isn't Rockstar releasing it on their dedicated launcher?

Well, all their games are. You pretty much start their launcher via the other launchers, exactly how Ubisoft and Co. are doing it. So going by that nothing speaks against buying it on their platform right away.

I held off on buying it for PS4 because I was concerned about the shooting mechanics on gamepad. That said, I'll wait for a proper comparison between the platforms before trying it one way or the other.

Probably would have ended up buying it and not playing it just like all my other PS4 games. Back in April I got an email from Sony asking why I hadn't used my console for six months. Well, I still haven't used it since then...

Personally I had no issues with the gamepad. Actually this makes me think that I likely won't play RDR2 online on pc, because... I don't want to play it with moue and keyboard, but I know everyone else will, so you'll be at a huge disadvantage. Sucks that there aren't any "gamepad only" lobbies, etc..

The controls were difficult for me in RDR2. Trying to wave to someone typically turned into me shooting at them. I'm not sure if the mouse and keyboard will he though.

Yes, you have to learn the controls first. Was booting up the game again yesterday and continued with my old post-story savegame and the first thing I did was causing a ruckus in Valentine, because I shot my gun instead of whistling for the horse.

Kinda doubt it will be different on PC, though. Or let's say, I'm highly impressed if they develop a whole new interface for the port.

Behold! An unexpected deed! Jim Sterling made a positive sounding video about new games, which put AAA standards to shame!

Still NSFW though 😛

The issue with boycotts is the same issue, albeit less hilarious, than with the Area 51 Naruto Raid. Everybody claiming they are going to do it needs to ACTUALLY DO IT and not just talk about doing it. Getting a vast quantity of strangers from different locations to all stop purchasing games from Blizzard and stick to it is nigh impossible, so good luck with that. I haven't purchased a Blizzard game in 15 years, not because of some ethical or political statement, but because they haven't made a game that appeals to me since Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne. It's not a boycott, they just make games for other people than me, which is fine.

I always waited to buy the first slim model, after the first addopters tested out all bugs 🙂 Now I skipped slim and purchased directly the pro version on release, and I will probably do the same for PS5 as well, unless sony decides to completely “censor” japanese games. The only thing, which could test my patience would be Tales of Arise PS5 version O.o

My Cabaret Dancer Cannibal Cult Leader in Cultist Simulator  was keeping a very low profile, getting rich, gathering esoteric knowledge... and not really having a cult besides one believer (with potential) and one greedy disciple who'd never amount to anything. She decided it was time to move up in the world of secret cults. She had some hapless victim grabbed off the street and the believer eat them in a ritual.

Police followed a trail of hearsay back to the newly ordained disciple and locked him up and threw away the key.

In anger the cult leader tied up the greedy disciple and stashed him in a closet, then set out to recruit new followers. The notoriety had the police quickly start building a case against her. So she spend all her time scouring the seedy parts of town looking for a good thief.

She finally found one and send her after the evidence.

Just as the thief was about to grab it, the lights went on and the police detective took the folder and walked off to work on it...

The thief stuck around and grabbed the evidence once the police was done with it, before the trial could start.

So now we are in the clear. For now.

Got a disciple, a couple of believers and a hanger on. And will send that shifty thievy person to liberate some items while they are still on my payroll.

Well I think this might be much more successful than the 51 raid since this requires people to do nothing.
