No, I have no qualms with HK-47's personality being dark. I just don't think it should have a game mechanic of DS/LS points since they aren't actually connected to the Force.

It's a minor nitpick.

Jolee Bindo, easily. HK-47 was funny, but very one note. Jolee Bindo, on the other hand, was easily the most developed and interesting character in the game.

I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you

But I get the feeling that you don't like it

What's with all the screaming?

You like monkeys, you like ponies

Maybe you don't like monsters so much

Maybe I used too many monkeys

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?

I dunno, it depends on how advanced the droid's AI is.

I could see largely in part because of my Asimovian readings, a droid in the Star Wars universe being connected to the force. Perhaps not an astromech Droid, but I have no qualms about HK being connected to the force.

I don't remember his name, but there is that one clone Jedi in the New Academy that Luke runs, comes from a world of asexual clones, all completely identical genetic data, other than slight personality or physical variants; only something went awry with him, and he had a connection to the force. So I could see an advanced, and extremely quirky droid such as HK having a connection with the force.

i had to say jolee, hes not only the best force user in the party, but he got some great dialogue. i really hope you get a sidequest or minigame with him in kotor2. or at least an appearance by him.

There is always the possibility that a droid's AI could become self-aware, and thus be truly alive. Having a single droid connect to the Force as an exception is an interesting story worth exploring.

However, both HK and T3 had DS/LS ratings. Once again, it was a minor thing.

What about Midi-Chlorians? Or are we just trying to forget about those little bastards?...

The boy nodded his understanding. "Can I ask you something?" The Jedi Master nodded. "What are midi-chlorians?"

Wind whipped at Qui-Gon's long hair, blowing strands of it across his strong face. "Midi-chlorians are microscopic life-forms that reside within the cells of all living things and communicate with the Force."

"They live inside of me?" the boy asked.

"In your cells." Qui-Gon paused. "We are symbionts with the midi-chlorians."

    "Symbi-what?"

"Symbionts. Life-forms living together for mutual advantage. Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. Our midi-chlorians continually speak to us, Annie, telling us the will of the Force."

    "They do?"

Qui-Gon c***ed one eyebrow. "When you learn to quiet your mind, you will hear them speaking to you."

Anakin thought about it for a moment, then frowned. "I don't understand."

Qui-Gon smiled, and his eyes were warm and secretive. "With time and training, Annie, you will."

Yes, please. Let's forget them. They never happened.

i was torn between Canderous and Jolee as I usually kept both in my party. in the end i chose Canderous his unwavering loyalty was the deciding factor.

"I'm beginning to think I'm the only one who didn't like Jolee."

Well I guess you are. :p

My vote goes for Jolee also. He cracked me up with his comments. Besides he was a neutral Jedi, and giving him dark side powers was a lot of help in some of the quests.

It's a minor nitpick.

The DS/LS points in the KotOR represent a Jedi/Sith preference for the light or dark side of the force, and hence they get bonuses in their force abilities and power, when they are mastered. For non sensitve characters, even droids, it just represents a morality meter: their tendecy to commit good or evil acts.

So, it is just an alingment scale. But for the Jedi/Sith it represents more than just that. If you are in the light and keep committing evils acts you will fall to the dark side and vice versa for the dark.

There are bigger implications for force sensitive beings.

The problem with that is droids have no morality, they only do what they were programmed to do. Unless you're arguing for a self conscious droid, which I could see having a morality.

On the other hand little T3 didn't have a LS/DS affiliation.  He was just Grey, which seemed appropriate to me.

Just cause you don't understand his constant beeping doesn't mean he isn't planning anything. He's a sinister little bugger.

May I suggest a new title? Knights of the Old Republic: T3-M4's Revenge
