  1. When loading the game via xbox game pass on pc, the game loads with a black screen, you can hear the audio but no video at all. I have all of my drivers up to date, all of my specs are well above what can run this game, so why am I loading in with a black screen? This is the only game that is having this issue.
  2. Currently my system is up-to-date and has been since purchasing the game via Epic Games Store, all DLC inclusive if that makes a difference. It had been working for some time till the past day to which it now doesn't make it to the game menu after the initial splash screens - It currently just sits black. When starting the game the task manager seems to claim the game is immediately not responding at start up. I'd rather not refund, but if I can't sort it out I don't see another option.
  3. Recently reinstalled POE and it worked fine for awhile. Now whenever I try to load a game the screen goes black with just the gauntlet mouse icon. If I try to start a new game, it goes into the starting loading screen and then kicks me back to the main menu. Any solutions to this? Win 10, Geoforce gtx 1070
  4. HI! I have problems running the game from Steam client on Linux. I can't seem to be able to start the game. I just get a black screen, which closes and the applications quits after a couple of minutes. Tried switching screen resolution as well as clearing all settings. No changes. It does however run, if I run the executable directly from the game directory. It does not play any of the intro FMV though. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!
  5. Hello guys, I have the following problem... I started a new game and everything worked fine, but when I have to go from the room of the ship on the ship, so the pirates can try to attack me, the screen stays black, but I have the gauntled (mouse curser) and I can hear him talking and if I click somewhere, where I think the dialog options are, he is talking again (the next thing he has to say) I already tried: - the windowed mode - turn the resolution down - installed the game again - checked all my drivers - to start it as admin - turn vSync on/off my specs are: CPU: AMD FX-8350 Graphic: nVidia Geforce GTX 970 RAM: 16 GB DDR3 OS: Windows 10 Pro I played the game to the launch for 10 hours without any problems. Now I wanted to play it again and that happened... I hope you guys can help me Best regards, Xellllll
  6. I have a new iMac less than three months old. This game constantly has screen issues, half the screen is water half is land. Dialogue doesn't load properly on the screen, level up text doesn't load, voices cannot be heard. What is going on? I requested a refund and have been denied because I played for 5 hours. Half of that was spent trying to work around the bug issues, reloading the game. Waiting on the screen to load, hoping that it would work. I paid for the 59.99 package. This is insane. Ive attached a screenshot, I have more but they are more than 510kb.... I'm waiting on the second refund attempt and if that doesn't work I will post more until this is fixed.
  7. This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the game. The latest patch to the game or the newest GPU driver has not fixed the issue. I thought I'd post an update with a save game where it occurs 100% of the time. If you load this save and then **** around in some inventory menus or try and level up and take too long, it is a black screen driver crash every time. The only way I've made it as far into the game as I have is rushing through all my menu navigation and often closing and saving in-between since I have to repeat a lot. I have experienced roughly 50-60 crashes since I first started the game. I am still trucking along but I am close to throwing in the towel. https://drive.google.com/open?id=13DXaP98vExj51_4xPRTfMnDJTGy_-pFD I can't attach my save file because of size limitations so its in the google link. Hopefully this can be fixed someday so I can actually enjoy this game instead of it being an exercise in frustration. DxDiag.txt
  8. When I try to go into the Arena Sub-level, the game will try to load it, but then I'm met with a black screen with nothing but the cursor and music playing (which also eventually stops). I have tried everything to get this to work - I've verified the file integrity (twice), uninstalled and reinstalled (twice), updated my graphics card drivers, run this on a lower resolution, etc. Nothing has worked and I can't advance this game any further because of it. The game was working perfectly fine up until this point (some minor annoyances with performance, but overall, nothing game breaking for me). Here's my output log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t1afjid584ynhnn/output_log.txt?dl=0 Thank you!
  9. I thought after the latest patches and updates to Nvidia drivers this might have helped but I am still suffering issues. I am having my GPU driver crash on a regular basis in-game, most often while leveling up or navigating menus. The driver recovers but the screen stays black. This happens on every GPU driver I've attempted to use so far, before and after game patches as well. The issue seems to be isolated entirely within PoE 2 as I haven't had any issues with a number of other games I have tested, including other Unity games. This forum won't let me upload my save game because it is too large so I am just placing it in here... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1QvU15WLFKk00_bzBSLmszs5_WQMVGEiM There are no crash logs being generated at this time. I've tried multiple drivers for the GPU but it doesn't seem to affect the outcome. I also went through and updated most of my other drivers as well. I didn't have any issues with the first game but it has been ongoing with this one, sadly. DxDiag.txt
  10. After ~30 min game if i come to town (or ship battle) i have black screen, but i can play - i see party interface, npc name (with tab) and other objects but i cant see anything else: models, textures. Just black screen with party interface. In small locations i have flickering. Only restar computer helping. I dont have this problem before path 1.1 DxDiag.txt
  11. With the latest patch I can't do anything. Attempting to start a new game results in a black screen, and then back to the main menu with this message "Error loading next map, returned to main menu to prevent corruption". This is a huge problem, basically has made the game useless.
  12. In order to be able to stream with OBS, I need to be able to play this game in Windowed mode. When I turned off full screen, the game screen goes black except for sound and cursor. I have read through the forums but do not see any fix for PC. I see plenty of things to try for a Mac, but I am running on PC. Output log and DxDiag file are attached. DxDiag.txt output_log.txt
  13. Description: I'm playing the first part of The White March expansion. My party is in the village of Stalwart and every time I try to travel outside (in any direction of the White March or the Dyrwood), after accepting the timing of the trip the screen goes black. The music continues in the background and you can see the game cursor, and you can even feel the noise of the menu that opens by pressing esc, but do not see anything. Then you need to press exit in the darkness and try to return to the main menu and reload the game, but the bug is still present. The trip simply does not happen and when you try to return to the main menu for a while you see that the party is still at the point from which you tried to start the fast -travel. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: 1) Load one of my savegames. 2) Try to travel outside Stalwart. 3) Bug. 14. Hi guys, Hoping you can help me fix this issue I am having. First of all I am using the GOG version of PoE. I cannot play for more than a few minutes without this crash happening. Description: Last night, with an FPS limiter on (not sure if helped), alt tabbing to frequently monitor all temps/fan speeds, I was able to play almost 30 minutes and quit without crashing. Otherwise, every other attempt (20+) has resulted in said crash that requires a reboot. I had an identical issue with Terraria the same day I picked up PoE, but that was resolved by disabling cloud support for the character/world I was using. It's also worth mentioning I used to have this issue with Minecraft a year or two ago (same PC), but never resolved so quit playing. That's where I got the frame limiter idea from after reading some threads, because I remember Minecraft frequently running at like 350 FPS and a squealing from a capacitor of some sort on my video card. I really hope this isn't a physical graphics card issue. It's also worth mentioning that I can play Skyrim at a smooth 60 fps with about 250+ mods installed (including ENB effects) with zero issues other than the occasional CTD (which is almost inevitable with so many mods). Steps to Reproduce the Issue: Ok so when I launch PoE, the game will TYPICALLY crash just after getting into my save, usually seconds after. On a couple occasions this has happened just before loading my save, and once at the game's start menu. This pattern (or lack thereof) has been repeated 20-30 times. I've had ONE success (see above) and that was last night which I had hoped had resolved the issue, but this morning it immediately crashed again upon loading my safe and running about 20 feet with my character. This was in the second area of the game, just after escaping the winds in the caravan camp. Important Files: I have my dxdiag.txt and output_log.txt attached but it says "You aren't permitted dto upload this kind of file" when I try to attach one or more of my save files. Hopefully you guys can help me figure this out, thanks! output_log.txt DxDiag.txt
  15. When this game launched I reported many bugs. Among them was the black screen at the kick starter logo lock up. The black screen launch lock up STILL persists in v2. The game will only launch to menu 1 out of 5 to 6 launches. From there my saves are constantly corrupted and loading them results in looping back to the menu (if you can get to the menu in the first place) When I originally reported this a dev eventually "fixed" my saves then sent them back to me WITHOUT fixing the game problem that caused it. Which is to say my "fixed" saves were corrupted as soon as they were used. Starting a brand new game with v2 my new game I started a day ago is now also corrupted causing the same loop back to menu.
  16. Game Version: 2.00.0706 Description and Steps to Reproduce There is no character AI icon showing in the action bars. The character AI button on the character screen is clickable but does nothing. This is true for all characters and saved games. When I try to quit the game, I get the confirmation dialogue box, but the game does not quit. It will quit if I zone out of the area and back in, then select Quit again. This is true for all characters and saved games. When I try to create a new game, the screen is solid black after character creation. Otherwise, the game appeared to be functioning normally (sound played, characters were selectable if you could find them, etc.) Game could be exited only by rebooting the computer. No save file was created. This problem occurs on all new character creation attempts. 17. Hi, I have a problem which entirely is preventing me from playing. After a few minutes of playing I can't save game (quick save, normal, auto save - nothing works), and then when I transition to another location I see loading screen for a few seconds and then it is only black screen with mouse and game stop responding. From very beginning I didn't play longer than 5 minutes. I have laptop: Win 8.1 64bit, i7-4700HQ, geforce GTX 870m, 16GB RAM I tried a few solutions like a http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/73912-save-game-fix/ or http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/71813-game-crash/page-4?do=findComment&comment=1601849, nothing helps. 18. Hi, I'm on Mac OSX. Character creation is smooth as a whistle, then I click Done/ Accept and it takes me to a black screen with only ambient noise, music and the hand cursor. I've tried in a different resolution and in windowed mode, no cigar. I'm going to keep trying to disable graphics options, as I assume it is related, but this is deeply frustrating - if someone has a solution I'd be very grateful!
  19. I have no problem using the bow in and out of battle, but the problem is that everytime i use the bow outside the battle and hit someone/something the screen goes black for few seconds which is very annoying . This happens when using DragonShout too but the black screen goes away quicker. I have no idea what causes that and there's not much to change in the options too. Also i have everything: drivers , directx etc. up to date.
  20. Hi, I'm new here (could almost say I'm the new kid or something) but I was doing the farm quest for the flute with the Nazi cows and the game went black after I defeated them. Which happened to be extremely odd. So I force closed the game via task manager and since then steam has been unable to open the game, it'll say it's launching via the application launcher and that will fake and it will then appear again and be caught in an endless loop, but the game will never actually launch. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the game and nothing. Hoping to get this fix so I can go back to playing it. Oh and odd slightly unrelated (but still hoping) question, is it possible to still get the pre-order stuff? I bought the game the same day as release. Is it possible for having to suffer through this atleast? And hopefully either way this can be fixed.
