  1. 1: I guess this one is kinda true, but the situation hasn't changed much since Morrowind. 2: There are greater consequences for joining factions in Skyrim than Morrowind. Important characters will live or die based on which factions you join in Skyrim. Joining a faction means almost nothing in Morrowind besides your ability to join other factions. Compare your ability to invade Whiterun by joining the Stormcloaks in Skyrim to being less popular with rival factions in Morrowind. 3: You make a bigger impact on the world in Skyrim than in Morrowind. Which faction rules the country will change depending on your choices in Skyrim. Nothing important ever changes in Morrowind. The world is pretty much static. 4: Considering the system was so bad in Morrowind that some quests basically cannot be finished without help from the internet since the directions are sometimes extremely poorly written or flat-out wrong: I don't think the system was dumbed down since the old system was dumber. 5: This isn't the series dumbing down; it's time and budget constraints due to voice acting. 6: This is just a shift in focus. Puzzles detract from role-playing, combat, and exploration. This isn't dumbing down. 7: This isn't dumbing down either as it actually makes the game harder. Once you knew where the Uber items in Morrowind are the game becomes stupid easy. I didn't bother watching the video, but the OP is mostly non-sense.
  2. Watch this video perpetually until you go mad:
  3. The tendency to unthinkingly follow the party line so you can earn internet cred is common to both the "SJW" and "anti-SJW" camps. I agree with this. The Target situation with GTA 5 made it clear to me that there certainly is a bit of party line following within gamergate. All Target did was act like a business. It's completely normal for a business not to offer a product if enough people complain about said product.
  4. The combat in Oblivion was complete crap. Thanks to the super low damage system most player could easily heal faster than even a group of enemies could hurt them. Trivial fights would drag on forever, and the bow was nearly useless. Not to mention by mid level the player had to choose from two impossible choices: 1: Keep the difficulty the same and die of boredom since you are an immortal God who can heal much much faster than anyone can hurt you. 2: Increase the difficulty and die of boredom since even the most trivial of fights will drag on forever since the damage is so freakin' low. It's also more limited than Skyrim's combat too so enjoy doing the same thing over-and-over. The combat in Skyrim while no prize is MUCH better than Oblivion's. Just as Skyrim is much better than Oblivion. Generally, I agree with you, especially since I never managed to finish Oblivion simply because it ended up dragging on forever until you just don't have it in you anymore, but as for bows sucking, I must ask you.. what? Bows were insane, when combined with high Stealth, and in Oblivion, there is no excuse for not having high.. well.. everything. Most enemies wouldn't even get close to you, and you could simply stay out of range and kill them in just a few shots. Most would be lucky if they even discovered you. The same is true for Skyrim. In oblivion a large number of enemies are basically immune to arrows, and bows do less damage than melee so using them against the most annoying enemies like trolls isn't really an option since they'll heal faster than you can hurt them. Then there's the fact that the best quest weapons are melee. If you can get past all that; the fact that bows rely on agility is their death-knell. Melee weapons are based on strength with is a very useful attribute; far more so than agility. In nearly every situation melee weapons were just better than bows. In Skyrim bows were greatly enhanced.

  6. Sounds like it could be annoying. Keep it mod territory.
  7. Amusingly, I went to a Christian school and thought everything I was being told sounded like a load of hogwash so I made an effort to sit down and read the Bible cover to cover and then used the knowledge I gained from that back at the people who complained about "my lack of faith". This is similar to my experience actually.
  8. Exactly. There may be less offensively effective enemies in the full game where the talent may end up much better.
  9. The main problem with The Legend of Korra is that it was originally designed with 12 episodes in mind. As a result the show is disjointed and inconsistent. The only thing I really like about the show is Korra's design. I think she looks cool. The original series was much better.
  10. Then you're an idiot.
  11. How that wouldn't also kill her I have no idea There are worse ways to die.
  12. Obama can still veto it. We need to make it clear the Dems will face hell in 2016 if he doesn't.
  13. This thread is like the energizer bunny.
  14. I waited until I was 21 like the law requires. Didn't like it, just as I suspected I wouldn't. Never drank again.
  15. Who's being censored, and by whom?
  16. They are just idiotic teenagers that can't see reality, but way to get excitement in their lives and rebel against authority that they don't like, usually for some petty reason. Similar idiocy born from naivety has always existed in people usually in teenagers. If those people would need brainwashing or some other effort to get them do idiotic things we would have much less problems in this world. Am I the only one who wasn't an ignorant, naive, and rebellious douche as a teenager?
  17. 'TF planet do you live on...? Don't get your point? If a development company says they are including hookers in the game because they want to add to the realism of a dark and grimy world I support that But to only include female hookers is contradicting what they want to achieve. NV had male and female hookers, it was realistic GTA only has female hookers, you cannot argue this is a realistic view of the sex trade? GTA wasn't trying to be realistic; just dark and scummy. It actually exaggerates dark issues. That's kinda the point. Also, male hookers are pretty rare compared to female hookers. If you feel that GTA is too focused on fulfilling a male fantasy only; ask them to add males hookers too. Problem solved. BTW: I still hate GTA. Screw GTA; it's overrated.
  18. Okay I believe you, but that has nothing to do with the point that hookers can and should be removed from the GTA game design ? It has quite a bit to do with it, as there is nothing exclusive to GTA V and hookers. The argument is that hookers are marginalized victims and do not need to be mocked and disposed of in a video game. Saint's Row and Fallout New Vegas both have disposable hookers, so shouldn't they also be censored? Yes this is my argument in essence, I'm glad you understand it And I'll be honest I don't know how to respond when it comes to those games, because you could also go a killing spree in those games. So now are we suggesting we remove hookers from all games? I agree this doesn't sound practical because the implementation of hookers in F:NV made sense in the game world in the city of NV. But to be fair there were male hookers in NV so it was much more realistic? The hookers in GTA were also realistic. Honestly, more so than F:NV. Also yes, the next logical step is to remove hookers in all games were you can kill them. Even that is just the beginning though. The slippery slop leads to much more than that.
  19. Both of these are wrong. Not all hookers are victims of any sort. Some women actually enjoy it. Even if they were; having hookers in video games means absolutely nothing in the real world.
  20. The scummy atmosphere is a major part of GTA's appeal. Take out the hookers and you lose the game's dark appeal to an extent. EDIT: I just want to say, I f**king hate GTA. They're so overrated.
  21. If you ignore Lephys, the word count on a page he posted on would probably be less than half. You guys aren't invited to my birthday party. Also, you cannot borrow my Ninja Turtles action figures anymore. u_u... lol
  22. The intelligence agency that takes its place would be just as bad - well, unless you think a power like the US has no need of a foreign-targeted intelligence agency I don't think we do. We were better off before the CIA.
  23. Christmas is funner when presents aren't involved. That's why I don't give presents, or ask for them.
  24. I think I heard you slurping and moaning something like "braaaains!" If Volourn was a zombie he'd be like, "Why are these people not giving me their brains? It's nazi like and EVIL!"
