I dunno, its a teaser; I'll reserve judgement for the proper trailer. That said, I did laugh at the McCoy and Spock surrounded bit.- Movies you've seen recently

I just LOVE that quote Alum. I am so stealing this one. Hanlon's Razor, IIRC. J. Porter Clark has a corollary "any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice". Goethe had a similar statement back in the 1700s "...misunderstandings and neglect create more confusion in this world than trickery and malice. At any rate, the last two are certainly much less frequent." Bernard Ingram may have said it best though: "Many journalists have fallen for the conspiracy theory of government. I do assure you that they would produce more accurate work if they adhered to the ****-up theory." And finally a last thought from Alexander Dumas (fils): "I prefer rogues to imbeciles, because rogues sometimes rest."- Pictures of your Games Episode VII The Screenshot Awakens
Having found the Silver Shroud costume, Kent has somehow persuaded me to don the costume and fight crime. Note to Self: No really, how the hell did I get talked into this? Putting an end to perfidious poison peddling punks Note to Self: Aliteration: A OK; glasses: Not so much. Posion Peddler Put Down, courtesy of...THE SILVER SHROUD! Note to Self: I think I'm getting a bit too into character. I AM THE LAW! Note to Self: ... MUA-HA-HA! Note to Self: I need therapy. Out in the boondocks, at rehab for "Overactors Annoynmous" Note to Self: I should be able to return to the Boston Ruins without dressing up and defending the night soon.- Movies you've seen recently
X-Men Apocalypse Trailer:- Xmas Plans
Because it's Xtreme! XTREME Holidays This is that magical time of the year where Santa rides on down your chimney on a stunt motorcycle before chokeslamming the Grinch and blowing up any overly greedy corporations while taking care to walk away from said explosions slowly while wearing sunglasses.- Movies you've seen recently

- Fallout 4...
It occurs to me as a non-American that the setting of Fallout 4 isn't exactly familiar, and that may contribute to the difficulty of getting into the game. Things I know about Boston: It's somewhere in the top right corner of the US, and has a harbour that may or may not taste somewhat tea-like. I couldn't name a single landmark, be able to recognise the general architecture, or know anything about the weather (though I'd guess it gets pretty snowy). This is in sharp contrast to Vegas and DC (sort of, I know it has, uh, the White House, and that obelisk) in the immediately preceding Fallout games, and would be the case with cities like New York, Miami, New Orleans and San Francisco for example. If I wanted to see what Boston was like from a movie portrayal, I wouldn't even know what to watch, whereas say Philadelphia, a city I'd consider equally unremarkable, I can at least get a feel for by watching Rocky. I've not seen a sandstorm in Boston. Radiation storm and rain storm, but I haven't seen a sandstorm. IIRC old time poster Slowtrain was from Boston - would have loved to see his thoughts on FO4's portrayal. Movies set in Boston: The Departed, Black Mass, Good Will Hunting (MIT), Ted, The Town, The Boondock Saints. I think most of them had at least some filming of exteriors in Boston at least.- Pictures of your Games Episode VII The Screenshot Awakens
The guy behind me looks like he tried to sit through the 'pre-show entertainment'. Note to Self: Looks like nothing good is playing in this theater anyhow... I've decided to ditch the ice cream hair - seemed daft since I always wear helmets and hats. Also have a new casual wear suit for when bartering around town. Note to Self: I won't even mention how hard it is to get that much hair product post-apocalypse. Don't really want to speak of some people's "suggestions" either. Why yes, yes I do want to make mole rat chunks. They're good for you. Note to self: Unfortunately, they still taste like Mole Rats. One small leap for Turret technology, one giant leap for town security Note to Self: Why does it seem like me, raiders and Supermutants are the only ones who can actually build these things? BUILD A TURRET PRESTON, IT WON'T KILL YOU!!!! And yet another crafting masterpiece from moi! Note to Self: I'm going to run out of names at this rate...and room in my inventory. Its quiet...too quiet. Note to Self: How many Red Rocket stations were there in Boston? I really thought that it just seemed like they were on every street corner Wait...why do I have a screenshot of this? Note to Self: Apparently Curie thought the monitor looked "cute" and took a picture and sent it to my Pip-Boy...?- Fallout 4...

Yeah I realized in retrospect after I posted that I was confusing hijab with niqab (which I couldn't recall the name of). Most of the issues I've heard, though, relate to niqabs more than hijabs, but that's anecdotal...- What you did today

A thread about Ghosts and one about UFOs I recalled fondly. A thread from the late Judge Hades (aka Hades aka Vicseris aka...) talking about killing another persona. An early thread about usernames and avatars that's hilarious to read as everyone has changed their avatars so the descriptions make no sense.- What you did today
So many old timers that aren't around any more. Yeah a lot of great posters no longer post - but then again considering that many of us have been posting in the same forum since 1999-2000 or so, its also amazing how many of us have stuck with it! EDIT: And it should be noted that a few posters are no longer with us, having passed on.- What you did today

Agents of SHIELD- Movies you've seen recently
Saw the Naked Gun films; all three over the last few weekends. Really had forgotten most of them in large swatches (I've rewatched the TV series more than the movies). They still hold up pretty well although OJ - who wasn't really a great replacement for the TV show's Peter Lupus - stands out even more now than he did then.
