US Election 2016
GD please understand the whole world who understands gun control and in many cases has worst crime than the USA thinks the USA needs more gun control.....its really strange for outsiders People on these talk shows say things like " why do the Americans need so many guns " ....I explain to them one of the reasons is " many Americans really think the day may come when the Federal government will come for them and they want to be properly protected " In most of the mass shootings we've had, either the weapons were bought legally and the person passed all existing background checks or the guns were received illegally circumventing any checks and balances in place. While some regulation might make a mass shooting less likely in the case of legal attainment, not even an out and out ban would stop people from being able to obtain illegal firearms without some massive changes in the nation and a complete loss of privacy with respect search laws.

Who collects Comics ?
It was Paul Levitz's second stint on the title and he proved a master if juggling story lines. A real highlight in the series.

Who collects Comics ?
You right...I wont give those up and the Conan And I have CLASSIC legion comics like the Darkseid story and when they fight the LSV and Karate Kid dies "The Great Darkness Saga" and the big return of the LSV to launch the 1984 Baxter series. Yeah a real good period for the Legion.

Movies You've Seen Recently Thread
Its been awhile since I've seen the sequels, but my memory is they are all variations on the Mag7 plot. Yeah the Yojimbo circle is funny (the plot resembles Hammett's RED HARVEST, IIRC, but Kurowsawa said it was based on Hammett's THE GLASS KEY). A Fistful of Dollars though was an Italian film not a Hollywood one. Hollywood did adapt RED HARVEST as Roadhouse Nights (1930) and THE GLASS KEY (1935 and 1942).

LSH fans don't give up their Legion comics. LLL! EDIT: In case it wasn't obvious, I read comics. But I mean, really, it should be obvious.

Off the top of my head, the Seven Samurai story has been done 11 times (without counting the parodies (like The Magnificent 11) or the TV episodes (original Battlestar Galactaca's "The Magnificent Warriors"): Shichinin no Samurai The Magnificent Seven Return of the Seven Guns of the Magnificent Seven The Magnificent Seven Ride Liu he qian shou Battle Beyond the Stars I sette magnifici gladiatori Dikiy vostok The Magnificent Seven (TV Series) Samurai 7 (Animated Series) Does one more really matter (regardless of quality)?

What are you playing right now?
I think FEF is fun but not as good as Awakening. Particularly given that the game doesn't seem "complete" if you don't do (and pay for) all three parts. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."

Leonard Boyarsky joins Obsidian
How many years do we need to have been on the boards to understand that reference? He was around back in 2012 at least. Can't remember at what point he stopped posting. Probably after Kickstarter campaign? funcroc last posted in 2014 - https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/59705-obsidian-currently-working-on-next-gen-console-title/?p=1418922

I dunno, the trailer indicated the girls' outfits were brief and clearly expressed.

Chris Avellone leaves Obsidian
...So where and how exactly can I get my hands on some PNP Avellone goodness? I think he worked on the following for the CHAMPIONS line: Dystopia Heroic Adventures Volume 1 Heroic Adventures, Vol. 2: Six Adventures for Dark Champions Underworld Enemies

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Funny story, when the game came out, the college I was at got a bunch of copies of the soundtrack as a promotional item. So much so that even though they were giving them away to faculty/staff/students/random-walker-bys, I could have probably still walked home with 5 or 6 without anyone batting an eye.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Yeah I confess, I don't really keep up with the updates. I skim them to make sure there isn't a "we're cancelling development because we blew all the money on hookers and cocaine serious game development, but unlike many I don't really have a vested interest in giving my 2 cents - I backed creators to create.

You know I never played the Interstate '76 series, but was a big fan of the spin-off Vigilante 8 series. I'd be up for something that revisited either.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Best of luck to them. I hope I get the chance to buy a finished Consortium: The Tower some day. I've never really seen crowdfunding as a way to "save money" on the game. In the end - to me at least - having a game I like is kind of secondary to trying to support someone doing something they may not be able to do any other way that sounds like something I'd like. I may not like the end result, but that just means that I won't join to crowdfund anything else by that group, because at the end of the day you're investing in something you want to see exist with the hope that it'll be good.

NON-Obsidian South Park RPG Sequel Announced!
I seem to recall reading that Ubisoft is only using internal groups to develop their games. South Park being done by Obsidian was only because they picked it up from THQ, but it started at Ubi it'd have been internal. So Obsidian getting to do the sequel was never in the cards as Ubi was always going to take the license to an internal team.
