RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Yeah I confess, I don't really keep up with the updates. I skim them to make sure there isn't a "we're cancelling development because we blew all the money on hookers and cocaine serious game development, but unlike many I don't really have a vested interest in giving my 2 cents - I backed creators to create.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
You know I never played the Interstate '76 series, but was a big fan of the spin-off Vigilante 8 series. I'd be up for something that revisited either.

Does being a smart-ass count as being smart? I mean it has smart in it, and everything!

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Best of luck to them. I hope I get the chance to buy a finished Consortium: The Tower some day. I've never really seen crowdfunding as a way to "save money" on the game. In the end - to me at least - having a game I like is kind of secondary to trying to support someone doing something they may not be able to do any other way that sounds like something I'd like. I may not like the end result, but that just means that I won't join to crowdfund anything else by that group, because at the end of the day you're investing in something you want to see exist with the hope that it'll be good.

NON-Obsidian South Park RPG Sequel Announced!
I seem to recall reading that Ubisoft is only using internal groups to develop their games. South Park being done by Obsidian was only because they picked it up from THQ, but it started at Ubi it'd have been internal. So Obsidian getting to do the sequel was never in the cards as Ubi was always going to take the license to an internal team.

US Elections 2016
As far as I know (and I welcome correction on this point), there's no such thing as an illegal citizen in the US. Naturalized citizens would have to be denaturalized to be deportable and citizens by birth can only renounce their citizenship, not be denaturalized. Legally at least (I know they're are cases where the courts have due to judicial error deported people).

US Elections 2016
Wouldn't the counter argument be that you're increasing the power of rural voters compared to city dwellers? In theory, under the popular vote system wouldn't everyone's vote count the same and failure to secure the popular vote be representative of a failure to have the backing of the majority of the people? Wouldn't that depend on how you changed it? Also the city dwellers should still have (gerrymandering notwithstanding) the vast majority of congressional representation and (if one just reverted to the old system) the largest portion of the state government representation that would end up choosing the Senators, but arguably the rural areas would have enough strength as a group to make sure the elected candidate couldn't forget that the state consisted of more than the big population centers - which is possible in the popular vote. But I wasn't really necessarily proposing a return to the old way, I just think there should be a way that still allows representation amid disparate population areas rather than disenfranchisement.

US Elections 2016
As I recall, the going theory against the existing system was that Senate positions could be bought/sold by negotiating with the people who ended up with a say in the election process. That said while there were a few historically contested election, there wasn't really proof at the time of widespread corruption but I can certainly see where it might be easier to bribe a few key state legislators than it is to sway the popular election. The other issue was electoral deadlocks in the state legislature that could prevent anyone being elected and the seat(s) remaining vacant which had been an issue, IIRC.

Cover controversies aren't anything new (remember Heroes for Hire #13 from 2007?). I think given the last couple of years people make more of a note over things that reflect the ongoing internet debate of "sexism". EDIT: Part of the Kefauver hearings on Juvenile Delinquency (aka comics) that Wertham's claims spearheaded centered the cover of a comic as well - Crime SuspenStories #22)

In Batman's original origin, he decided to become Batman because a bat flew through his study's window while he was trying to come up with a way to fight crime. I'm pretty sure that Bat was trying to tell you that you needed to become the Batman your city deserves.1 1Thankfully you didn't get the parody of the original Batman origin that was done in a DC annual where a woman was thrown through Bruce Wayne's window so he decides to fight crime as Womanman with his sidekick Girl the Boy Wonder...

Project Louisiana? (not Fallout-related)
Yes! Trenton. I knew it was a city, but couldn't remember which one. I don't know if I'm remembering correctly about a third project. I seem to recall at one point there were three projects - Revived Stormlands (Tyranny?) which I pegged as Vermont & Louisiana we know. That would leave the third as either Indiana or maybe the shelved Rhode Island? To be honest I can't remember when I read about the "three projects" thing. I suck at this Obsidian stalker business.

Project Louisiana? (not Fallout-related)
This is taken from an old list that was, I believe, taken from a Reddit Q&A. I've added a bit to it. Project Delaware - KOTOR 2 Project Pennsylvania - Neverwinter Nights 2 Project New Jersey - Dwarfs (cancelled) Project Georgia - Alpha Protocol Project Connecticut - Aliens: The Crucible (cancelled) Project Massachusetts - NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer Project Maryland - Dungeon Siege III Project South Carolina - NWN2: Storms of Zehir Project New Hampshire - Fallout: New Vegas Project Virginia - Unannounced Xbox Live Game (shelved) Project New York - South Park Project North Carolina - Stormlands (cancelled) Project Rhode Island - Unannounced title (shelved) Project Vermont - Unannounced RPG in development Project Kentucky - Prey 2 (cancelled) Project Tennessee - Pathfinder Card Game for Mobile Project Ohio - Armored Warfare Project Louisiana - ? Project Indiana - ? I think Vermont is Tyranny and I think PoE wasn't given a state project title. Since I *believe* we knew that Obsidian had three unannounced games, that would make Vermont (Tyranny), Louisiana and Indiana, perhaps?

Personally I think its a little embarrassing that there no are NO active female members on this forum We dont have even 2-3 ? Its something we should be trying to understand and or change....people don't seem that concerned ? Do we know there are none? I was under the impression there were some women posting on the POE forum that I've never seen here in WOT. (That's without getting into the whole self-identifying issue with anonymous message boards )
