  1. One thing I want the most is that the combat log needs to be in the middle like BG...really annoys me that it's in the corner........WHY OBSIDAN WHY
  2. At first I thought it was a legitimate troll, but then I read some points which do make sense, but it's not the end all be all of this game LOL.

  5. This will probably be the last backer beta that we do. Not sure how long we will keep everything open, though. We still need to talk about the particulars. He said "probably" and this was posted on the 22nd of January, so maybe they can give us another update if this is the last?

  7. Have Josh Sawyer play out the encounters, not Brandon Adler. I want to see a very hard encounter where Josh walks us through every decision he makes and why, what spells he is using, why is using it. Showcase the tactical gaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. It was very ham-fisted by Brandon. Pretty dissapointed in terms of a gameplay perspective.
  10. They should have really let someone who is good at the game actually play it...like you know, Josh Sawyer who is sitting right next to Brandon who said "I'm bad at this game"...sigh.
  11. My pet-peeves from watching the entire stream: More ambient sounds to bring the environments to life. Walking through the city in BG2 you would hear merchants off in the distant, and chattering. It really brings the place alive. Need more random NPC's in the cities. At the moment, they feel empty, even the interiors feel empty and lifeless. Combat still seems too fast for me and all party member's animations are in sync which annoys me. It's too samey, they all stand the same, etc. It's super weird. Crickets...nuff said. Make spell animations better and more clearer? When Josh casted necrotic lance, Aloth shot a purple blob? Is that placeholder??? lol...
  12. The crickets in the wilderness made that part of the stream so miserable to watch...hopefully they fix the sounds.
  13. Tried to play Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition from the Steam Winter Sale after so many years...thank you Obsidan for making PoE more accessible and easier to get into, yet retain that depth that I seek from my favorite genre.

  15. I know you play Dota, so I'm going to reference Axe. Axe's first skill is a taunt that taunts enemies around him to attack him while gaining bonus armor for the duration. His ultimate is culling blade which outright kills the enemy if said enemy reaches a specific health threshold (example, 250 HP), and if Axe uses his ultimate, he instantly kills the enemy. The reason I reference Axe to Barbarians in PoE is because I feel like they should have similar playstyle. The ability to go berserk mode in short bursts is what appeals to me both Axe and the Barbarian. You're not outright tanky. You're only tanky when you taunt for the duration and killing enemy with culling blade resets the cooldown on the ultimate continuing the carnage. If they made the Barbarian kinda like Axe that would be good. Have an ability that gives him a crap ton of DT for a short amount of time that taunts the enemies around him, then another skill called for example, Execution, that outright kills the monster at a specific HP threshold, and if you do meet the HP threshold for the kill, you got another short burst of some positive buffs for himself and/or the team like maybe a movement speed or DT buff... How does that sound...to me, it sounds so friggen amazing.... Think about it, you have your Barb run into a group of nasty beetles, taunt them, gaining bonus DT for said duration, you spin around carnaging the crap around them with some passive that does damage whenever you get attacked, then when they get low, you execute them, gaining some buffs like movement speed, defense bonuses, etc. Rinse and repeat, running around like a barbarian going crazy, living life on the edge! The more I think about it, the more I ought to make a new thread about this, because this absolutley needs to happen...it wouuld make the Barb class so much fun. PoE devs should ought to look at the skills for the Dota 2 heroes, so much synergy and ideas to translate to PoE. What do you guys think? Btw, I'm a huge Dota 2 nerd, played the game since Dota 1. If I can only persuade the devs that they can really apply some cool stuff to the PoE classes from Dota.
  16. I am an avid Dota 2 player as well (6 years) and having patch notes is just a feature we all expect when balance changes occur. A singleplayer RPG should be no less the same, especially when we the backers made it happen. We should be given the opportunity to see detailed patch notes. Larian Studios released detailed patch notes during steam early access for Divinity Original Sin. Why can't Obsidian do this?
  17. Go to the level-up screen, scroll with your mouse cursor over a talent on the left side, then look at the description on the right side. Some descriptions are quite long and require you to scroll down to see the rest. However, if you move your mouse cursor off the talent to reach the scroll bar on the right, then the description goes away (since you moved your cursor off the talent). In other words, you can never scroll down...super annoying as I can't read the entire description of one of the monk's skills.
  18. I really wish I was given 2 talent points per level up. Also, A LOT of the talents are terrible. It's so diluted with crap that it annoys me...I want each talent option to be a hard choice for me, not because X talent is better than the 20 talents in this list...

  20. Last time I tried the backer beta was when it was first released to us lol. Now I'm anxious to try it out with all the patches since. I hope the UI is cleaned up and that the Monk isn't a piece of crap class because I plan to play Monk in my first playthrough when the game comes out.
