  1. Yeah, that was what I was thinking actually. I'm going to have a full companion only party throughout the entire game, so I'll just use my adventurers for Stronghold tasks. Win/win situation!
  2. The Voice Overs (VO's) are downright amazing. Pallegina and Aloth's VO are so dam good!!!
  3. Regardless if it's useless w/o invisibility, Obsidian needs to update these dam tooltips and fix this issue because I guarantee people are gunna be upset when they pick the Rogue during release and realize they are gimped till level 4. Most of them won't even know that backstab works during stealth. You know why? The tooltip for Backstab doesn't even say that! I mean, honestly they need to take a day and fix all these broken tooltips. I want to know exactly what this ability does and no hidden secrets! And I'm not just advocating they fix the Backstab tooltip, they need to switch the order you get Shadowing Beyond and Backstab. /rant.
  4. Ok great, but IN COMBAT, you cannot stealth. I order to use backstab during combat you must use shadowing beyond. Does no one care that this is a huge problem? Let alone the tooltip is apparently incomplete for backstab...
  5. During combat however, you can't use backstab because you can't stealth. Only until lvl.4 is when you get Shadowing Beyond so you can use backstab in combat. Also the tooltip for Backstab doesn't even mention that it'll work when stealth. Overall, you should get Shadowing Beyond at lv2 and Backstab at level 4. My point still stands.
  6. You lost your faith in Bioware after DA:I, but not after DA2 & ME2? Sheesh, you really like handing out new chances like candy corn on Halloween, don't you? That being said, I think you should keep Larian Studios (after D:OS) and Harebrained Studios (after Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut) on the radar along with Obsidian and inXile, for sure. Never played DA 2, but I love each Mass Effect even though they have their own problems, but nothing near the atrocities like DA2 and DA:I. I beat D:OS, but it was alright. Spells are super unbalanced and story is snore fest. Dragon Fall's combat was incredibly tedious for me. To each their own
  7. Obsidian, inXile, and CD Projekt Red are the holy trinity of RPG devs. Lost a little faith in Bioware after they made that god awful single player "mmorpg" called Dragon Age Inquisition. I hope they don't butcher my favorite series of all time, Mass Effect.
  8. Not sure in terms of special gear or scrolls, but the only invisibility spell is Shadowing Beyond and it's for the Rogue. It's definitely an oversight by J. Sawyer. It needs to be fixed ASAP because it gimps the Rogue to become the weakest class until level 4.
  9. The 'Faith and Conviction' passive for Priests and Paladins will adjust accordingly on how well you follow your Paladin Order's/Priest Deity's favored disposition.
  10. Keep in mind, there are most likely going to be quests in the game that grant us rare talents that otherwise could not be found. Also, the expansion will add lots more levels, new talents, and abilities. I mean, take a look at the grimoire book. There are spell levels beyond 6th level spells! Obsidian already prepping for dat expansion!
  11. I can see why this was overlooked since the Backer Beta makes you level to lvl. 4. So no one really stopped at level 2 and played the game. Thank god I spotted this because it's actually gamebreaking in a sense that you are picking a talent that has ZERO value for you until you get to level 4. And as we all know, every level is precious in PoE. Now that I think of it, I hope other classes don't have this problem!
  12. At level 2 during character creation, the Rogue has access to only 1 class talent, Backstab. Backstab will only work when you COME OUT OF INVISIBILITY. There is only 1 invisibility-granting ability for Rogues and that is Shadowing Beyond. But guess what, it's not available until level 4. Even worse is the fact that you could completely skip over Shadowing Beyond and pick some other talent at level 4 and your Backstab talent that you were forced to pick at level 2 would still be useless! Shadowing Beyond grants invisibility essentially and this is needed for Backstab to even work. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but either way it needs to be changed to the following: At level 2, the Rogue should have Shadowing Beyond available to them (replacing Backstab) as the class talent. At level 4, Backstab will be added in the class talent selection pool. That way, you can still use Shadowing Beyond effectively. I hope this makes sense.
  13. Backstab won't apply the x2 damage unless you are invisible first. The first attack you do coming out of invisibility is a backstab essentially. What I'm saying is...you don't do backstabs UNTIL you get Shadowing Beyond (available at level 4). Once you are level 4 and choose Shadowing Beyond (which grants you an automatic sneak attack out of invisibility) then your statement is correct. My question still stands...why give us the backstab talent at level 2 instead of Shadowing Beyond?
  14. Yes, if I remember correctly you do a sneak attack coming out of invisibility (says it in the tooltip for Shadowing Beyond). http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Shadowing_Beyond http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Backstab
  15. So I made a video of me going over the Rogue abilities and talents up to level 12 in character creation. One thing I noticed that irked me was that at level 2, the only class talent available for Rogues was Backstab which makes you do x2 damage when coming out of invisibility. But...rogues have no invisibility abilities at level 2 UNTIL level 4 when they have access to shadowing beyond which lets them turn invisible. Can someone explain to me what I'm missing here?????? Like what's the point of giving us backstab at level 2 which will do nothing for us until we get to level 4 to get our first and only invisible ability??????????????? Or am I just dumb and I missed a key word somewhere?
  16. Thanks for watching my videos Max level in the final game will be 12. I just used a cheat in the beta to get there for demonstration purposes. It's actually not a low number for these reasons. Your not just leveling 1 party member. You are leveling your companions/adventurers (6 total!). Leveling is a slow process, and each time you level, you gain A LOT of power (new talents to explore, new abilities, higher skill's so you can tackle harder areas). And that is multiplied by 6 for each character in your party! So don't fret, although the game is massive, the leveling process I believe is intelligently handled and lets you feel like you are getting more powerful when you hit that shiny + button on your portrait Games like Dragon Age Inquisition are terrible because you don't feel any powerful the level before you. The leveling system is "diluted" and all you really care about is that one skill point to put towards a dumb tree. (sorry I hated that game). But you get my point

  18. Killing them. Well duh...lol Is it just "flavor text" for another way of saying they die pretty much?
  19. http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Disintegration Tooltip is a bit outdated in the wiki (still mentions stamina instead of endurance). What's the point of the enemy "disintegrating instantly" when they reach 0 endurance?
  20. ... I'm not sure that's accurate. You're supposed to take damage to both Health AND Endurance simultaneously. When you run out of Endurance, you're "downed"/incapacitated. When you run out of Health, you're maimed or dead, depending on settings. Your Health pool doesn't remain untouched until your Endurance hits 0. You're right and I was wrong.I re-read frames where TrueMenace shows Health and Endurance in-game descriptions. Damage goes to both, when endurance=0 then incapacitated. When health=0 dead. Which makes disintegrate scary only when used against player characters, not enemies (who are game-overed the moment they are downed). Unless you are fighting creatures with constant endurance regeneration that can stand back up. Makes the spell somewhat pointless. EDIT: Also, in the paladin video - I've noticed that Aura AoE or other friendly AoEs (eg. Inspiring Faith) do not increase with Intellect. Is that a known bug? Do you mean AoE size or duration? Durations won't change if it's a modal ability. As for the size not increasing, that would be strange and should increase with intellect.
