  1. Someone complaining about people being stupid posts the same thread five times. What is wrong with this picture?
  2. I don't think they wanted to mess with the movies story. I think Jango(and later Boba) were the last of the Mandalorian line. So the Mandolorian line died with Boba. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're probably right, but if that was all, there could have been an alternative where the clans are united for a second mandalorian war in which they are truly wiped out save a few straggling families. That would have fit with the wider story, and would've created extra sidequests for Mandalore. But due to time constraints, of course, such a thing was not possible.
  3. If there's an announcement by Lucasarts or Obsidian, all I'll believe is that there will be a KotOR III. If they say there'll be more on where the HKs are coming from, well...I think I was promised that before..."
  4. I sided with Kreia as a Light sider, and did fine. However, what does have to happen (for me, anyway) is that Kreia must die. So one of the rest of the party has to hit her to make her disappear before you and Kreia take them all out. Whenever Kreia survived, the dialogue would just loop back in.
  5. Eh? Storm Troopers are not Clone Troopers. Storm Troopers are regular army troops recruited and conscripted within the Empire. Han Solo was one. Clone Troopers are the Mandalorians. Well, technically Mandalorian (singular).
  6. An easily corrected posting error? Someone appears to be semi-computer literate...
  7. I'd bet that it was originally planned that Mandalore could unite the clans on the different worlds and thus ensure their survival which would be reflected in the ending, but was eventually cut from the game and the ending leaving only the 1000 year death ending.
  8. If the only problem you have with this game is the spelling and grammar, you are far luckier than most of us. The only thing that really bothered me about it was the frequent dropping of full stops in the dialogue.
  9. Be a girl. u CAN. Visas and Handmaiden. Unless you're a girl yourself. Swoop racing appears to be well and truly broken, so as far as I know, u CAN'T. A blind deer. A blind deer with no legs. Sorry I couldn't help with the last two.
  10. It may well be that Kreia was lying about the strength of the bond, but for some reason, the Exile as a character doesn't seem to be at all concerned when s/he goes up against Traya at the end. There isn't even an option like "You can't kill me. You will die too." before the fight, or "I can't kill you. I might die as a result." afterward where Traya might gloat about how she tricked you. Even if it could be inferred that Kreia was lying, if I was the Exile, I sure as hell wouldn't be inferring what might or might not kill me.
  11. That wouldn't really make much difference. I went through the entire game without a single offensive force power beyond Destroy Droid and Stasis Field. With those alone, I sailed through this game. If they required 200 FP too, that would be a different matter. Of course, when youre in the situation of needing a last ditch effort, what are the chances you have 200 FP? Maybe, they could require so much energy that it leaves the force user exhausted and unable to attack for a few rounds. Meaning you wouldn't be able to come straight into battle with it on your own, and that you wouldn't be able to fire it off again in the next round.
  12. Y'know, I was over the moon on Friday when I got the last copy in the shop of KotOR 2. Now I sort of wish I hadn't been so lucky. If I had been there fifteen minutes later, I'd have gone home empty handed, would have come on here and discovered all the game's problems before I experienced them myself. Ah, well, such is life. What can be done about it now?
  13. I thought quite the opposite. When you consider what the remaining council members are doing, it becomes quite clear to me that the jedi council are just as evil as the Sith. After all, to a force sensitive, tearing away one's connection to the force would be something comparable to at best, blinding them, or at worst, raping them. From their comments (the process is painless, and so on), it is clear that they've done such things before. It is tantamount to torture, and no matter the motives, such actions are the actions of the dark side. If you happen to be playing a light side character, such a revalation that the council itself can commit such dark acts effectively vindicates your decision to go to war as the right thing to do. Even Revan, pre-amnesia at least, didn't go in for such personal acts. She was trying to save the galaxy, she spared people's lives and livelihoods (there are comments that she left infrasturctures intact, and presumably therefore left the workers so too), and she was the Dark Lord of the Sith. If the Dark Lord of the Sith can be a better person than members of the Jedi Council, what does that say?
  14. Pretty much what Aurora said. I went with a Sentinel/Watchman at: 10 STR 14 DEX 12 CON 14 INT 14 WIS 14 CHA I think. Something like that, anyway. You get pretty much your pick of any skill, and once you Finesse lightsabers, you are in a fine position. Shove in as many wisdom and dexterity mods as possible, and you can stasis field everyone with a guarantee of at least 80% success against all enemies, followed by master flurries (with a sneak attack bonus, of course) to take everyone down before it wears off. Plenty of skills, and a veritable walking death machine to boot.
  15. I think what they should probably have done is just make the bosses a lot harder. All the regular enemies being extremely easy really makes sense when you think about it. A Jedi Master should be able to cut through a whole Army of Sith like a knife through butter anyway. But that should be compensated by making the bosses really hard.
  16. not that I know of, but someone modded one into KotOR 1, so it'll just be a matter of time, I think, before there is a mod to put one in.
  17. this is all explained through dialogue <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really? Because I missed it entirely. So when, exactly, in the dialogue with Traya or Sion is the situation between Goto and Remote explained? Who wins? I also don't remember any scene in which it was explained to me the fate of my crew. I also don't remember any dialogue where it was explained who was flying the ship. I don't remember any dialogue explaining how it survived that fall. Strange, that was a whole lot of dialogue I must've missed. Heck, with all that, I must have been blind not to at least have chosen one of the options that explained it. Could you at least tell me that these dialogue options were that I should have picked? Or better, what the responses were? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can get Darth Traya to predict the future for you when you beat her. She even predicts Jango Fett's death. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When I say the fate of my crew, I mean in the present, not the future. For all I know, they're all lying at the bottom of a gorge with broken limbs. It is not explained who is flying the ship, nor how it survived the fall, nor who fixed any damage that would surely have resulted from the fall. All of a sudden, there it is. Fwoosh, andshewavedamagicwandandeverythingwascool the end.
  18. Well, a Jedi is married to his lightsaber, but when he gets exiled by the Jedi Order, he gets a quickie divorce and she goes off to swing with the Council.
  19. If I remember correctly, he should be the thug on the left near the back of the room when you go in.
  20. Right, I'm just going to pretend that that was the ending I saw when I played the game. Just reading that was awesome. Such a shame...

  22. Acually, it all works out if you compare TSL and the Holy Grail. See, The Exile is King Arthur, Kreia is that old man that guards the bridge, Thermal Detonators are Holy Hand Grenades of Antioch, Visas is Tim the Enchanter, and Darth Nihilus is the Death bunny. Disciple is Sir Lancelot, and Atton is Sir Robin. And Admiral Onasi is the Ruler of Swamp Castle, because Swamp Castle is Telos. Malachor V must be the Castle Aaagh, and Revan is the Holy Grail. In fact, the Holy Grail had a rushed ending that made absolutely no sense whatsoever too! It's true, the paralells between The Sith Lords and The Holy Grail are astounding. "Dark Lord of the Sith? I didn't vote for you."
  23. I'll have to abstain from voting, since I don't think I can really categorise my feelings, but this woul dhave been a really good game if it had been released in finished form, sans bugs, plot holes, rushed endings, missing quests, loose ends and so on. Without all that, it would have been better than KotOR 1. With them, the game is a major disappointment.
  24. Well then, do tell why I had previous to this been in the JJT on three seperate occasions with a breath mask on suffering no ill effects at all. All that says is that Atton's comment is part of the same plot hole. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I gave the validity of your statement the benefit of the doubt, that would stipulate a game mechanics error...not a plot hole. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It can easily be both. One is responsible for the other.
  25. Unfortunately, from what I understand a lack of the right OpenGL means that your graphics card will not run KotOR 2. I'm told that it's not soething that can be updated with drivers. That would mean either a return or a new graphics card.
