Try to set your Regional Setting of your PC as English. 1. Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options. 2. Not as good as FNV, MotB and KotOR2, equal to NWN2: OC and Alpha Protocol, better than SoZ.

Unfortunately, I think you have to wait and hope that this will be fixed with a patch.

I had the same problem. I think you have to load a previous save, one before you enter the western or eastern part of the mine. That worked for me at least.

Yup, easy to learn, hard to master. That's a winning formula.

I think that would be not enough. Dungeon Siege 3 should have a more pseudo uber-dark, gritty and brutal fantasy world, with romanceable emo characters, more badass looking enemies, and more of a cinematic approach.
