Nah, the studio will just get closed down and everybody gets fired. Can anyone point to a failed game release that lead to anything good? Financial? Jade Empire -> Mass Effect? As for Relic: It's not like they are making unsuccessful games right now.

Hopefully, Space Marines (or whatever the game is called) will fail bad and Relic can concentrate on another RTS game.

I would guess it has something to do with the console manufacturers. Maybe Bethesda couldn't get a proper release date from Microsoft and Sony. That is also interesting: Probably they will announce the GOTY edition as well as the release date for the preorder items DLC, but who knows.

SCII campaign wasn't that good, but the presentation was superb for a RTS. It brought the genre forward.
