takamorisan replied to Boeroer's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Regarding the OP question: I have mixed feelings, I agree that having easy access to a weapon/gear that will close your build early game is awesome fun, but you kinda murder exploration and item discovery in the rest of the game. So some stuff should have some power upgrade from separate items so you feel that joy of finding something new and powerful. But at the same time you can't make the power level too noticeable or you will end up having "Oh this build here is for early game, this one for mid game and this one for end game" and kills the character identity.

Paladin Order switch
Forgive me if this question has been already made and answered(Just made a simple search on the search bar with the words "Paladin Order"), but starting a new game in PoE2 will I be able to change my paladin order? For example I started my paladin as a Goldpact Knight, but given his choices and thoughts RP wise I think in PoE2 he would be in a complete different order given how he behaved. P.S: Sorry for my english, not my native language.

All spells, attacks and class skills gain a new way to use depending if you are using a wand, sword, hammer, axe, staf and such 2) Team/Flanking attacks: Everyone in this game, if they manage to surround someone they can execute flanking tactics and have 2 characters have to do their action at the same time against X enemy flanked 3)Improved Blood and Gore: Have a death animation for every kind of damage, Slashing, Blunt, Piercing and Elemental damage. For example: If you have killed an enemy with a slashing damage ability you can trigger decapitation, dismember animations, blunt you smash their heads into bits or go more sadistic where you smash someone knees and finish with a overhead strike in their chest. Art Issue
takamorisan replied to selkino's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)My issue was never the presentation of the art, my beef is with the animation overall, the character felt really robotic doing their attack animations and killing a creature felt like "Welp I'm dead let me lay here", unless you manage to gib then and it was just flying meat festival, no body parts included. Any plans to improve on that regard?

I would agree with you completely if she were doing game reviews. The trope videos, as I understand them, are trying to identify recurring patterns over a large number of games. What makes you think she is upset? She is doing cultural criticism - looking at games to find patterns and pointing them out. If anything, it would be better to hire people who had never seen the games to objectively look for examples of the tropes: 1. Provide a standard to identify the various tropes that a disinterested person could follow to identify examples of the tropes 2. Get a bunch of people to count the tropes in various games and cross check that different annotators give the same answers by having several people do the annotations 3. Update the annotator guidelines if the people don't agree and redo the annotations with new people when necessary 4. Crunch the numbers That would give a clearer signal than somebody who plays the games and is emotionally invested in them. It would make a good kickstarter project for someone wanting to uncover the truth about these tropes whatever that truth turns out to be. Sorry man, but if you wanna critique something like games you have to actually play it or you will end up making mistakes like saying that Hitman series is about murdering women and hiding then in dumpsters, instead of making the least aggressive approach and achieve the murder like a professional Hitman. Other observation is, of the 16 targets only 4 are women. Killing the narrative that the games is violence against women.(Blood Money)

Keep needs a serious overhaul
My thoughts regarding the keep is: -Could really use more invasions -Seriously more invasions, I just got attacked 3 times in my entire playthrough -Could be more populated, traveling commoners walking around, using tavern services, buying in your shops... -More interactive events where I actually need to go back to the keep to solve it besides invasions
