S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
I loved the ending where you "make the zone disappear" . It was so...Tarkovskian. I'd sort of like if that was the canon ending, instead of the , which would mean no sequels. Partly that's because it seems to be the only "bad" ending where the main character survives and is relatively happy. No merging with crystals or becoming mad.

What are you playing now?
Win! And I'm still wandering through the urban hellscape of GTA 4, constantly failing when trying to concentrate on missions, since causing random chaos is so much fun.

What are you playing now?
I'm thinking about starting the NWN 2 mod, Winds of Change, but maybe later. Downloaded the SoaSE demo and it is every bit as cool as I thought, with a single exception: ship battle is dreary to watch. I don't know if I'm just spoiled by Homeworld, but I don't think it's actually interesting to see a bunch of steel cans form two opposite lines and zap each other. I hope the battle gains some dimensions once my ships start to field more special abilities, like that Ion Bolt, etc.

New Fallout 3 screens
The main theme sounds like it'd be more at home in a movie adaptation of Howard's Phoenix in the Sword. Zur is a great composer, it's just that I'm getting kinda mixed feelings over such music in a Fallout title. Then again, it'd be interesting to see a post-apoc title that is as epic as that main theme.

What you did today
I have a retake for Linguistic Change and Variation in English this evening, but I'm not feeling particularly studious. Iikku left for uni earlier this morning, since she had her diction test and I missed her like a stupid dork, ugh... So, I'm just reclining here and being an idiot in Teh Internets, thinking of maybe watching Code Geass r2 for the moment. I'm dreary since I have sleep-induced EEG test on Friday morning and know that I have to deprive myself of sleep the following night. It's making me awfully anxious since I hate being tired and not only have to pay for train to get home for the test, but also miss out my changes of scouring the school library for secondary academic sources for my American Modernism essay. Blargh, blaagh.

What are you playing now?
I don't know every phrase, but it's usually either "Lower your weapon", "Put your gun away", "Flank him!", "Help me, I'm bleeding" or "We'll get you". For everything else, there's a thread out in the net that lists every Russian phrase and translates it. Even the jokes they do while sitting around a fire, even though some of those are pretty Eastern-specific, to be honest. Edit: I don't remember replying to you DN, sorry if it appeared like I were.

What are you playing now?
Hello-hello! Hello-hello! Hello-hello! Hello-hello! Hello-hel... Yeah. I'm kinda thinking of doing a run of Tiberium Wars, the Nod Temple level with GDI is just being horrible.

Who is Shaak Ti? Should I know? I mean, I know who Quinlan Vos is, but this character escapes me.

Movies you have seen lately
My god, that was the best superhero movie I've seen. Granted, that is partly thanks to a certain female actor, otherwise Spiderman 1 would have taken the pot. Still, I've never actually seen Iron Man comics where he was working alone, it has always been either the Avengers or with whatever character Marvel decided to team him up with. Never alone, so I didn't have any actual opinion on the character. What I found interesting was the parallels the movie, intentionally or not, drew with Alpha Flight's Guardian and his birth story. The mentor turned ****, trying to retain the original plans to himself so the prototype wasn't used to anything unmoral, etc. I haven't ever read Stark's origin, so I don't know if the comparison was fair, but that is how I felt. I think it meshed well with old theme of needing life support and being an ex-jackass, heh. Well anyways, Robert Downey Jr, Guineth Paltrow, great narrative and superb animation and design gave this movie a well-earned big May! Also, certain muthafocka at the end was a total August for me!

GTA IV gets a perfect 10 at IGN
I hated bowling, pools was pretty decent. Still, there's that "running people over with a truck"-past time that I found the most preferable.
