I gotta say thanks for posting these comparisons! Also I am pleasantly surprised and happy to find that I prefer the "new deadfire" version in all cases. Great job by the Obsidian art team, you are all the best! I'm quite torn myself, but I think there are significant improvements in the new Deadfire ones, so yeah, kudos to the team. -

You can find all the 4chan edits together with watercolour versions in this post on the 25th page: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91743-portraits/?p=1983544 -
After a brief exchange with NerdCommando about one of his POTD Deadfire builds, I was wondering if anyone on the forums has any concrete data or first-hand knowledge of the following. (I apologise for being a lazy **** and not simply installing the beta myself but I strongly dislike experiencing beta content) Let's say we have a chanter with 3 dexterity (-35% I believe?) wearing plate armour (-50%), and using a weapon modal that affects recovery period, say -10%. How would this affect: 1) chanting speed 2) invocation cast times 3) recovery period after casting an invocation And: 4) does the recovery period following an invocation casting prevent the chanter from chanting during that period? Cheers

Fix her? There's nothing to fix in her old portrait. It's perfect! I still prefer Grieving Mother though. indeed. fix michelangelo's david? fix chopin's prelude in e-minor? fix the in-n-out double-double with cheese? feminization changes to maia? only difference we would consider for maia is perhaps tone down the lipstick redness. if we were told the particular shade o' red were called trollop, we would not be surprised. HA! Good Fun! > if we were told the particular shade o' red were called trollop, we would not be surprised. Maia heard what you said. She told you to go f yourself, she can wear whatever lipstick colour she wants ;-) -

Hmm, I'll admit she does have rather masculine features, I still like the portrait though. I think strong-jawed women can still be very pretty, take Olivia Wilde for example. Your 'fix' (that's an arrogant title for starters, I like the 4chan edits of some of the other characters but I would never dare to call them 'fixes', that's arrogant and disrespectful to the original artist) messes with the proportions of the face too much and the result doesn't really look like an Aumaua. Also her lips don't really look right. The tight lips look appropriate on the original but they do not work on your edit. There's also many unnecessary changes like changing her skin colour, eye colour and so on. I also don't like what you did with her facial expression. She looked determined, fiercely independent, before, as befits her character. Your edit loses that somewhat. -
In order to redeem the codes, you need to log in to your Steam account through the Obsidian site. So no, I don't think you can do it that way. You'll have to purchase the game first, then do it. Don't think so - I forgot to register my backer code on steam, which I did after doing all the codes from this thread. And when the game appeared on my steam account it had all the bonuses from this hunt event. Thus I think it is safe to buy the game after doing the codes. Oh ok. My bad.

I'm going Goldpact Knight / Troubadour. MIG 16 CON 08 DEX 10 PER 15 INT 15 RES 15 The concept is he chants while tanking, dealing damage in melee, and using Paladin abilities. Not tremendous DPS due to the low dexterity, but still decent. That's during easy fights. The Troubadour's Linger bonus allows him to easily stack chants while doing Paladin things. He uses offensive Invocations to end fights. In tough fights he switches on Brief Recitation and rapidly gets up defensive Invocations to protect the party. His stats allow him to do well in conversations. Constitution is not super important as he can stack Ancient Memory chants when he needs a HP boost. I'd like more Dexterity but I don't consider it to be as essential as the other attributes for this build. However, lategame I may respec points out of INT and RES and put them into DEX instead. I'm going to be a Fire Godlike and take Scion of Flame. It'll boost my Flames of Devotion strikes. I think?

I'm amazed that you guys discovered this in the first place, and did all this work, without even knowing what it was for beforehand.
