  1. Yeah, I'm going to say that I don't think they even realize that just about everybody believes this game to be unfinished. ALL YOU DAMN LURKERS, SIGN THE PETITION. I AM RIGHT NOW
  2. Also not a bad idea. This is similar to what I've been advocating for some time. I think I might like this better. I really just want to see a situation in which the player may well be forced (at the end of the game) to chose between their characters and which shall live and which shall die, should they have taken different paths; i.e. DS Revan vs LS Exile and vice versa. That would be very cool indeed. And in response to what was said earlier, yes, why shouldn't the developer allow us to create two characters? We recreate Revan/Exile, and when they show up in the game, they look just like we played them to look like. It's not overly complicated or even that big of an issue by any stretch of the imagination.
  3. While I disagree with some of what you said, like the purely physical aspect of the relationship, I think the whole romance issue was simply more fleshed out in KOTOR II. I think that there was an emotional thing between Bastila and Revan (and I agree, I like Male Revan and Bastila scene on the Star Forge as you sought to save her out of your love for her), but I think it was done much better in KOTOR II. I've got to say though that I felt more attachment to Bastila than I did Mira, Visas, or the Handmaiden.
  4. Boudicca sucked. She won her battles against backwoods garrison troops. Once Claudius got wind of it, he took the ACTUAL army, and beat the living hell out of the Iceni in about 5 seconds. And to Whitemithrandir, I highly doubt that Lu and Wu could compare to somebody like Heraclius. While one might try to argue he is the first "Byzantine" Emperor, I'm sure he would dispute that. Justianian would also suffice to destroy Lu and Wu, and Diocletian, and Trajan, and.... Oh, and has everybody forgotten that Alexander the Great is the single most brilliant commander of all time! Nobody has mentioned him. I'll give the women four females of political and military insight. Theodora, wife of Justianian, Margaret Thatcher, Eleanor of Aquitaine, and Catherine the Great. Outside of them, their track record isn't that good. Joan of Arc was not very impressive. She managed to get a bunch of demoralised French knights to beat even more demoralized, disorganized, drunken English peasants who were thrown into France because all the real troops were busy fighting a civil war that came out of the death of Henry V. Not that big of an accomplishment
  5. Except for a dead Revan, I actually think that idea has something to it.
  6. Anyone want to volunteer to bitch and moan about getting a real ending inserted?
  7. No disrespecet to you Bulg, but such speculation is ridiculous. K2 was developed with the continuation of the story in mind; and if K3 is developed (and developed by Obsidian), it's naturally going to pick up where it left off. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I doubt they will either, I'm just speculating. Posting a "what if?", if you will.
  8. For once we agree Laozi. And wait, you live in a slaughterhouse? (or maybe you never read the short story)
  9. I personally think it would be an incredibly dark and sinister twist if you have a DS Revan versus an LS Exile forced to square off against each other for the fate of the galaxy after the True Sith are defeated, or vice versa, a LS Revan vs DS Exile. It would make the player have to choose between two characters they have grown to love, and destroy their other creation..... Not to mention an awesome twist....
  10. Would you be willing to give us the LS combo? Because I'm of the opinion that Revan told Canderous to rebuild clan Ordo and the Mandalorians to help he and the Republic defeat the True Sith when the real war begins.
  11. I'm not saying I wouldn't play it, I'm just saying I wouldn't buy it.... "
  12. Yeah, I agree. For all the problems I had with the game, I still found it to be completely engrossing (until the end), and was completely taken in by the story. Though the new evidence regarding the cut ending leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth?
  13. If Obsidian/LA were to announce KOTOR III tomorrow, and in the announcment said that they aren't going to continue the story of Revan and the Exile, and start a new story, what would you do. I for one would seriously consider not buying the game, and letting them know that.
  14. I'm torn between both ideas. Personally, I wanted KOTOR II to be about something else, perhaps 100 years into the future, Revan and Bastila long dead, perhaps having had some Jedi kids who you may run into, and a story line where I didn't have to worry about Revan anymore. But as was said above, when Revan came back for this one, and played a central role in the situation the PC found himself in, I now need to know what happened to Revan. Personally, the only person I feel capable of handling that is me. I want Revan to end up how I want him to end up. I want to be in control of his fate, so at the end of KOTOR III, I'm not going "BULL****, REVAN SHOULDN'T HAVE DIED/NEVER RETURNED/LEFT BASTILA/INSERT AWFUL ENDING!!!!" Same for the Exile. I want to end his story how I want to end it, because thats how RPGs work, and Obsidian has created a situation in which the story needs to be fulfilling, and unless they are able to pull some crazy **** out of their ass, then I don't think they are going to be able to make it fulfilling. But, on the other hand, a new PC isn't a terrible thing. It could make for an interesting perspective on how the actions of the Exile and Revan are percieved. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a force sensitive Mandalorian be the PC. The Mandalorians have been striving to learn the ways of the lightsaber and Jedi so as to combat them, so why not have one of them be the PC. Damn you, Obsidian for making this difficult.
  15. If what is said by that little snippet, then I'm going to believe that we may well be the Exile in Kotor III. That makes some sense to me. After all Revan was Bioware's creation, and the Exile is Obsidian's. I wouldn't be too upset by this, so long as Revan returns to Bastila, and peace is restored to the galaxy.
  16. Well, there is a Second Mandalorian War to an extent. The Mandalorians become a huge force in the Late Republic, serving as shock troops, and the Jedi decide they have kill them all, there is a big battle, and they all die, save Jango Fett. As for Canderous recruiting the Mandalorians, I'm pretty sure it's on orders from Revan, because Revan knows the Republic/Sith can't take on the True Sith alone, and that the Mandalorians will help the Republic if Revan asks them too.
  17. Beat it once on Light, and once on Dark, and thats one of the lines Atton will say when you meet him for the first time.
  18. I don't like the implication that the Exile will never return to known space. That means Revan might never return. And despite the haughty attitude of Laozi, I am proud to be a fan of Revan.
  19. Well, I'd imagine they'd do just what they did in KOTOR II. They'd have only a few major plot points be included. You would determine the sex of each, whether or not Revan fell in love with Bastila/Carth, and which side each went to. Other stuff like who is in charge of Onderon would be easily handled with a question like Responses: The developer would just have to focus on a few key elements.
  20. Yeah, what is Mira's last name? Perhaps its Fett...... That would be badass if she were Cassus Fett's kid.
  21. Atton doesn't know ****. There is no definite Revan. Atton makes those flippy comments cause he doesn't know. But you do. Obsidian reconstructs Revan based on your answers. They do it in a fashion so you might not recognize it. When Atton asks you about Revan, the game is going to record your answer. If you tell Atton he is right, then the game is going to remember that Revan was a DS Female. If you tell him he's wrong, and that Revan was a LS Male, or LS Female, then the game is going to remember that your Revan was just that and the game is going to progress from there. Just because Atton says one thing, doesn't mean that's the end all be all definition of Revan.
  22. Yeah, I thought it was pretty clear that Revan discovered the True Sith while in the Outer Rim, and realized them to be a greater threat than the Mandalorians. So, he fed upon the Dark Side at the Trayus Academy, but was never consumed as Malak was. He used the power he gained their to turn the Jedi that had joined him, and returned to the Republic to conquer and unify it so he could destroy the True Sith. However, KOTOR happened, and Malak destroyed everything Revan was trying to build. So, as a DS Revan, he returned to Korriban to try and unite the Sith, but petty factional strife and their own ineptitude caused Revan to leave and decide to fight the True Sith on his own.
  23. Did you play KOTOR I? The woman is Bastila, the Jedi Revan fell in love with. I see your point, but if Bastila didn't recognize Revan as the Exile, nor did Kreia (Revan's teacher), then I doubt the Exile is Revan.
  24. Perhaps the fact that the Sith Lords have no idea where Revan is as well is important in understanding why they don't know where Bastila is. Perhaps the force and love bond they share allows Revan to disguise both his and Bastila's existence and location. I remember Kreia saying something to the effect that it is the Sith Lords who believe you to be the last of the Jedi, not the fact that you are the last of the Jedi.
  25. Well in truth, the Mandalorians are nothing like Sparta except in their fanatical dedication to training for war and honor. The Mandalorians are closer to chivalric knights and their quests for glory and conquest, than they are to the Spartans. I'd say the best possible definition is a cross between European Knights and Japanese Samurai. And the female Spartans weren't warriors. They just raised kids and had some very basic fighting training, i.e. I believe they were allowed to wrestle.
