  1. Yeah, our outrage might have ****ed things up badly already, so I say in this case, let Obsidian handle it, and if LucasArts says no, then we get angry.
  2. That's how I would do it. Perhaps when they find he Exile and Revan, the player then chooses who they want to play for the next little while of the game, at which point the character you do not choose returns to known space to gather the Mandalorians/Republic/et. al for the attack of the True Sith, while the player continues the story line from where you make the choice between Revan and the Exile.
  3. I have to say, I really like being a Gray Jedi. It allows you to be very evil and very compassionate. The problem with it in KotOR II is you don't get to be a Presitge class. I beat it my first time without one, cause I was Gray. I have to say I have some problems with the more extreme dark side choices, but some are just so delicious....... I loved killing the Rodians in front of the Exchange. "Open the door or your dead." "If I open it I'm dead." "Then I guess you're dead." *Kill* "Do you know what happened to the last Rodian who didn't open this door for me?" "No." "You got his job. Open the door." "I can't." *Kill* "Oh no. Please don't kill me. I simply can't open the door." "So you know what happened to the last two Rodians?" "Yes. But I can't open this door." "Well, then, you're dead."
  4. Troll? Why am I being accused of being a troll? I was honestly giving you a compliment. I enjoy ****. I'm usually one myself. And as for me being your superior, well, you might not like it, but the fact remains.......
  5. So much for poetic license...... I've got to say Numbers, you are an impressive ****. You manage the condescension to your superiors (yes I know the seeming contradiction) perfectly. And this is a compliment.
  6. Yes, I would imagine the emails would not have been the best thing to put up. I would also like to second an apology to Obsidian if this is creating a lot of heat for you guys, because honestly, I felt that you had created a game far better than the original KotOR, and would hate to have the endgame issue create future problems for you guys. If there is a KotOR III, then I would love to see you guys do it, and I hope this hasn't ruined it.
  7. Well apparently, my efforts have actually caused some level of inspiration. I feel all fuzzy inside......
  8. An answer may be found in this article. Please note the following quote: I'd imagine that is why it was closed, and most likely presents problems to OE. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Apparently all of our letters did something. I know I sent one asking him to draw attention to the Spoilers forum.....
  9. All I can say is those are awesome. I would enjoy a rendition of Bastila and Visa, not in the situation some of the more desperate members of the board have suggested, but noble. If not, any other drawings you might do would be awesome.
  10. Alright, since the previous Thread surrounding signing a Petition to restore the ending of KotOR II, I've taken it upon myself to begin it anew. So, to all you out there who are unaware of the existence of the Cut Material..... Here is the Cut Material http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=29764 It's primarily on the first few pages, with a few sound files. Here is a link to sign the Petition. http://www.petitiononline.com/kotor2 If I get banned, I promise you I shall return!!!!
  11. Anybody else notice that the Cut Ending Stuff was closed with no explanation and the Petition threat was deleted?
  12. Yeah, in all honesty I was waiting for somebody to say that Obsidian was getting sick of all the bashing done by many of the people on this board, and also by people who have signed the petition. Unfortunate, but doesn't come as a surprise to me.
  13. Where is it implied? By who? If you're going to set yourself up as a continuty expert, Nuke, you're going to have to deliver the goods. Edit: Canderous flatly says "When Revan executed Mandalore before our eyes, he cast Mandalore's helmet away, denied it to us." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When does he say that? In KotOR II? Because in KotOR I, Canderous says how Mandalore was defeated by Revan in single combat at Malachor V.
  14. Wait, what happened to Boba Fett during the Vong invasion? He died?
  15. I don't know, I think he gave a lot away. From that I got the impression that the KotOR II issues may indeed have had to do with a pushing publisher.....
  16. I don't want either. Coruscant would be nice, but I don't like the idea of having the Jedi Council there. I might like to see it in the final movie for an LS ending, with Revan, the Exile, Bastila, etc. forming the new council, but aside from that, I have no real desire to see it. I think it should be on the outer rim, with maybe a few visits to more familiar planets for multi-world quest necessities.
  17. The point is that there are large unexplored chunks of the galaxy unexplored because its very hard to keep exploring. One can't simply jump to hyperspace, because they could run into an asteroid field. Exploring the Unknown Regions is very slow work.
  18. Alright. Revan never trained the Mandalorians. The Sith troops never trained the Mandalorians. The Sith troops in KotOR are simply Republic troops who decided to follow Revan or people who joined Revan's cause. They aren't Sith in any sense of the word. Think of it like the American Civil War, where you had Federalists vs Confederates. Same nation, two factions. The Sith Empire under Revan and Malak is closer to a faction of a Civil War, hence the name the Jedi Civil War, than a war between two separate nations. Canderous hints at the True Sith Empire in KotOR by telling Revan that the Sith came to the Mandalorians and told/tricked them to attack the Republic. So, the Mandalorians did. The True Sith, as I understand it, saw two outcomes. A) the Mandalorians attack, and the Jedie do nothing, and the Mandalorians crush the Republic and then the Jedi, leaving the True Sith to gather up the pieces or B) Some of the Jedi decide to help the Republic defeat the Mandalorians (because without the Jedi the Republic is lost, and the True Sith know this) This will create a divide in the Jedi Order over what the duties of a Jedi are. This will leave the Jedi weak and divided, and thus open to the attack of the True Sith. What they didn't anticipate was Revan. Revan decided to lead the charge, and managed to go out and crush the Mandalorians, with non-crushing losses. During the course of the war, Revan found Malachor V. He knew the Mandalorians hated the world and considered it forbidden, and sought to find out why, and how to use it against them. It was there that he discovered the existance of the True Sith and the cause of the Mandalorian War, and probably some clues as to the existance of the Star Forge, or at least the Star Maps. He then realized that he would have to defeat the Mandalorians and then conquer the Republic in order to unify it against the True Sith. So, Revan brought the Republic fleet as bait for the Mandalorians to Malachor V, where the war came to its conclusion and the Mandalorians were crushed and scattered. It was at Malachor that he was able to turn the Jedi that had come with him to the Dark Side. He then took Malak and sought out the Star Maps, and discovered the Star Forge. He then built the fleet and refounded the "Sith Empire," that would conquer the Republic and unite it. Thats it for now. Hopefully its cleared up.
  19. I don't know, Mira seemed to clearly show interest in my Exile with her seductive tone and suggestive sentences.....Then my friend sold his Xbox, leaving my Xbox 1000 miles away.......
  20. I'm pretty sure that the Sith Lords were using Darth long before Bane, and that Bane was the only one to survive, and thus Bane began the traditon of only two sith.
  21. They could have done that with KOTOR II, and just incorporate Revan's choices into the history of the Republic with him meeting ultimate defeat/standing guard over the Republic until his death. However, with Revan alive and fighting a war against some unseen foe, we can't just jump ahead 100 years and get no meaningful conclusion to the story.....
  22. See, my proble with the Padawan learner at an academy is the fact that there are no Jedi left to train them, that we know of. Jolee isn't even a Jedi, and only lives is you are LS, Juhani is in the same boat, Bastila's story is unclear (perhaps taking the road Kreia suggests and has long since stopped being a Jedi). As for the Exile's crew, A)they don't even necessarily become Jedi, and B)They are all only half trained. It would be like giving Anakin a Padawan during Episode II. Any other Masters who are hypothetically in hiding are equally useless, as they will simply teach all of the same methods which so clearly failed in the past and allowed the True Sith to manipulate events in known space. It's even worse if you try to be a Sith. There is nobody to train you. Bastila is gone in search of Revan, and all the rest killed each other. If you were a Sith in Kotor II, then all your companions except Visas, went LS, and you probably sacrificed her to kill Nihilius cause you were an evil bastard, so that gets us nowhere. As I see it, if it's going to be a new PC, then it has to be some completely random person with force sensitivity, perhaps a Mandalorian that is on some completely separate quest from Mandalore, who runs into Jolee/Juhani/Bastila on some planet during that quest, who realizes that they have a grand destiny before them, rather like Jolee saw for Revan, and decides to tag along and mentor this person, slowly integrating them into the ways of the Force, during which time, they are inexorably pushed on a quest to find Revan and the Exile and help them as the war against the True Sith begins.
  23. I suppose it could be done. But it would take years, and would have to work something like WoW.
  24. The best is when you first meet Mandalore and you try to go up to his room. He catches you every time unless you are stealthed. "I thought the bathroom was up there." "One would have to be very sneaky to get past you." "How can you even see with that helmet on!" assorted funny lines.
  25. That's why I believe the Exile, Revan, Bastila, and perhaps Jolee and Juhani have to return in KotOR III. They are the only ones who can remake a stronger order that knows the old code is so restricting and is the reason so many leave the order or turn to the Sith teachings.
