Heated, but I don't see any real ugliness here except for the accounts of the hurricane itself. New Orleans is, alegedly, predominantly black. Alegedly, it has a large Roman Catholic population. As long as folks aren't saying things like, "Good, I'm always glad to see black people [or] Catholics [or] Americans die," then we must be willing to countenance a frank assessment of the situation. Some comments were perhaps ill-advised, but the discussion is progressing more or less respectfully. As always, you may report the thread or PM me personally, but I might not agree that an offense has occured.

I've never done marijuana (or any other illegal drug) but I would agree to legalize it.

LOL. I have to admit that I rather like Portman. Not the greatest actor, but I'm a sucker for dark hair and eyes. Okay, hmmm. Let's hear from folks who want a card made. ...And let's get volunteers who want to create some cards. They can be on the more serious side or geared more for humor. I have to admit that I'm probably just going to be goofy when I make cards, but I think a serious one or two isn't bad as long as you aren't going out of your way to be meanspirited. Note, you couldn't make a workable card game out of the cards I've made. They aren't meant actually to work.

He's definitely someone you want arguing for the other side in a political debate. Seriously, Democracies run best with an informed and conscientious electorate. Michael Moore believes the ends justify the means, but those means call for the spread of nothing less than actual lies. In the end, the means are quite destructive. Mr. Moore's cure is worse than the illness he seeks to treat.

This is bad news for us. We can't count on being able to play any disk on whichever we choose and we have to gamble that whichever one we choose will end up obsolete in the near future. Some folks will worry more about price and some folks will worry more about quality. My gut instinct is to go for BlueRay, but I don't want an expensive paper weight.

Natalie Portman didn't look particularly appealing in Ep 3. On the other hand, she was a little hottie in Ep 2. At any rate, she's not a great actor, but she makes do, I suppose. Jessica Simpson, however, I would gladly never see again. She's not very pretty. She's far too convincing in her role as vacuous female. She's over exposed in every sense of the word. Plus I just don't much care for her.
