At least you're doing something about it, Hades. That's the point, I guess. You're not just turning your face to the sky and accepting your lot as the plaything of fate. I know I need to lose weight. I was the same height and weighed 168 pounds in high school. Of course, that was too damned skinny. I was 180-190 pounds in the navy, and that was perfect. I was strong and healthy. I think my ideal weight would be 200 pounds. Right now, I'm ~245. Being a guy, a little fat isn't nearly as big a deal in terms of looks as it is for women. It's easy to hide a little extra weight. Unfortunately, it's still unhealthy. I need to go running along the beach in my combat boots again. :Cant's silly grin at the idea of even attempting to get into such a routine again: Don't rely on diet, by the way. Ask your doctor about a realistic way to ease yourself into an exercise routine. I don't know what you did in the Navy, but I was always at combined commands, where a regular exercise routine was mandatory. Being lazy at heart, I hated it, but it sure kept me in shape. Get in shape again and then give us a before and after picture. No matter what, don't accept any fate but the one you make.

Lest DL feel constrained to answer such questions, I have closed this thread. :Cant's bemused smile icon:

Keep to the subject, doofi. I don't care who chews what, as long as we chew the fat in a respectful manner in this thread.

I can vouch for that. He's not a stalker. A doofus, maybe, but not a stalker. So, we've managed to get one of the devs to share a little time with us. Let there be rejoicing. Now it's just a matter of trying to weasle some cool info out of him! :Cant's mischievous smile icon:

I know you engaged in quite the heated debate with Xiag recently at the "other" board. It was an interesting exchange, to be sure. So, that tells me that you don't mind generating heat on a topic. I gather that you've done modding for NWN from that post. I think that's a pertinent fact for someone working on NWN 2. You posted in a closed thread on this board, which means you have massive administrator or moderator powers! That's important to know so we can guess from where the lightning bolts came. :Cant's wry grin icon:

I'm thinking of Aristes. What a bastard. I'm thinking of Deirdre and Aristes and Jack and... I think it's time to do something. While I'm working, I think I'm going to think about mkreku's redhaired chic. What details he didn't give us, I think I can imagine. Finally, I think I'm going to play some City of Heroes as a reward if I can just finish my current project early today.

Thread pruned again. Please keep to the issues in this thread.

I'm a Waters fan also, but I'll second that toast.

Naw. That's not what you want. There! That's the answer.

Hey, I think it's silly to beat yourself up after a purchase. ...But sure as hell don't beat yourself up for ten bucks. Tell you what, I'll think of you the next time I buy a couple coffees at Starbucks. Hehe, I'm already starting preliminary planning for the new computer. I mean, my wife is due for an upgrade early next year and I can give her my current computer and build a new one for myself.

The Official Increase Your Post Count Thread!
Cantousent replied to Jesse Conroy's topic in Way Off-Topic
Please don't resort to these kinds of threads in order to increase you post count. If you want the spam-meister title, you'll have to earn it the old fashioned way. In the meantime, threads like this are so 'yesterday!' -
Couldn't we just spam it with topics about every videocard released in the past ten years and their technical capabilities and limitations? One topic for each card. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like your thinking. I'm giving you the rank of General, comrade. We also need to rise up against the moderators. It will be difficult, as they outnumber us 5 to 1, but without the people they are nothing. For the people! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, stop. Your turn is coming. After all, everyone else has gotten a turn at moderator. You can't be far behind. bwahahaha As far as the fora. I found it a bit confusing myself, but that's just the newness. EDIT: by the way, there's really only one mod. They're all Eldar alts.

Hey, tell us how that works for you, mreku. I'll be jealous, but I'm always stoked to hear about new advancements anyhow.
-
You could. ...But much better would be to be respectful of the folks participating in Tech. Not only that, but the Tech forum is really Fionavar's baby and he's been really good to you guys. Very good to all of you guys. So, enjoy the tech forum and spam here where I rule with an iron fist.

Yeah, you were probably wearing armor, only you took it off before the picture. That's how you managed to defeat the other two.
-
I love it, Hurlshot. It looks like something I'd do. Not that I'm trying to scare you or anything.
-
It's all for the better, friends. Behold, a brand new Tech Forum.
-
Bah humbug! I bought my system too soon. Oh well, I've enjoyed my system the past couple of months, so I guess I can't complain.

I have central air and a pool and jacuzzi. ...But I'm sure you look better in a bathing suit, Lady.

Well, my wife's folks hadn't had a real vacation in years and they wanted to go somewhere within driving distance. They also couldn't bear to leave their three year old gand-daughter back home, so I had to make arrangements for seven of us altogether. That's a lot of roasting in Sacramento, by the way. If it wouldn't completely derail Hurlshot's great thread, I would tell the story of the whole sordid affair. As it is, I'll simply say I would rather have braved the heat to see you and Calax than spend the week with my in-laws.

The best place to discuss KotOR 3 is in the KotOR 3 thread. http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=42877 Please feel free to enjoy the discussion there. :Cant's wink and smile icon:

Yeah, that whole central area gets hotter than hell. I drove near Gilroy on the way to Napa Valley, and it was hot. Hell, Napa, which is generally pretty cool, had a day over 100 while we were vacationing. We spent one day in Sacramento, and that was hot, much as I expected. Here in Sunny Southern California, we're in our usual three digit temperatures during the day. I keep my house at around 73 degrees, so it's not so bad. It can be quite hot outside and I wouldn't know the difference. However, I'm heading to Las Vegas in two weeks and it's going to be a scorcher. I'll be seeing 120+ degree wether in the desert. ...And it's not like home where I can plan my outings to more or less avoid the worst heat of the day.

I've been chatting online in Paragon City with Calax. City of Heroes is trying a double XP weekend gimick. Works for me.

We just saw an animated version of Sinbad with Brendan Fraser. Horrible. Still, the wife's a big fan of the guy. He's actually a pretty good actor, our Canadian friend.
