  1. You can get the achievement by getting the hangman, going to ukaizo and then reloading the autosave.
  2. In the ending slides for me Xoti apparently split into three, going with Eder, dissapeared into her nightmares and continued sending me letters and being close to me... seems like the combination is quite illogical and each slide speaks about a different ending as the other ones. https://depili.fi/poe2_gamecomplete.zip has the savegame
  3. The multiple Crookspur quests interact in strange ways. I first got the quest from Principi and the rant from Seraphen about slavery. Sailed for a while and got the summons to Deadlight, went there and got the quest updates. Then I got a quest from Vailian trading company (IIRC) to go and speak to the Principi for a mutual interest, went there and got the same dialogue about Crookspur, same rant from Seraphen and the same letters to go to Deadlight...
  4. Yes, a way of turning the scaling back on would be much appreciated, I got stuck in Dunnage by the ambush and only realized way way after that the scaling went away with the needed difficulty change.
  5. The morning star has an enchantment that makes it do 0 corrode damage over 0 seconds, and that can even be boosted by enchanting to 0 corrode damage over 0 seconds with 0% chance to kill near death enemies... Something doesn't seem to be right here.
  6. Yeah, for some reason the corpses of dead summons from the Grey Sleeper soulbound esoc seem to sometimes follow you on area transitions, even without triggering combat. Sin tis with the wicht corpse and a reverant corpse, both decided to hang around on top of one bench in the caed nua main keep looking really glitched. Back before the new savegame format many different summons were getting permanently saved in the mobiledata part of the savegame, this might be something similar.
  7. The documentary was really awesome and well put together. Seems to capture the whole roller-coaster ride perfectly.
  8. You need to learn the language the spirits speak, and that happens in Heritage Hill.
  9. "Sod of you lousy cleric, I don't need your healing or your buffs, I'm the worlds greatest fighter!"
  10. When I was digging around to filter the traps created by chanter rime and frost from my savegames I noticed that if there is a corrupt "chunk" in a save the game still loads, but everything after that corrupt chunk is ignored. For the first iteration of my cleaner with slightly wrong handling this meant that my characters lost most of their equipment. Maybe this is also due to save file corruption? Might be caused by HD errors or whatnot. The things that will make debugging the possible corruption hard are that the game doesn't give any error to user when loading a corrupt file, it just silently aborts when hitting the corrupted region and that after the game has been loaded and resaved there are no hints of such corruption in the save anymore, as everything after that corrupt record just gets tossed away.
  11. Well, the medieval "economy" was pretty much two-tiered, peasants seldom even saw any money anywhere, it was mostly just trading stuff for other stuff and merchants/nobles were all about showing how rich you were by spending that wealth around, with for example a single dress that costs more than a sizeable town built from scratch. For a modern person that economy would make no sense at all. (One common tactic for a lord to keep his most troublesome lieges in check was to go visiting them often keeping them almost bankrupt from the feasts).
  12. Demogorgon doesn't care about your wizard casting his puny time stop.
  13. You are hitting the other known savegame bloating thing: summoned creatures, obsidian only had time to fix summoned traps in the first patch.
  14. If someone who is still experiencing really long saving times would link their savegame then someone might take a look inside and see what crap bloats it...
  15. You can also steal the geological survey map if the dozens aren't friendly.
  16. Its just a unix CLI command set, piping the standard output between different utilities each doing their little things, the unix way strings is a utility for extracting ascii strings from binaries, grep is for searching for matching lines to a substring or regexp, sort sorts the input, uniq looks for sets of unique lines
  17. $ strings MobileObjects.save | grep .prefab | prefab_filter.rb | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr The ruby script in the pipe is just something to quicky chomp the first character of each string in the pipe, as otherwise a binary value from last key before the prefab string ends up in front
  18. Well, it isn't just Xaurip spears, but certainly not all of the loot I have sold: https://gist.github.com/depili/aa3bf9f9bd1d6a006a49 This file is a list of all strings containing ".prefab" in my saves MobileObjects.save, with all unique strings counted and sorted by number of occurrences. There are 84 Xaurip shields, 63 Xaurip spears in the save that aren't in my stash. Looking at that list of all different item types in the save the Xaurip spears and shields seem to be the exception, everything else is pretty much something I should have in my stash or inventories. One additional puzzling item is the 59 second chance armor mods, I'm pretty sure I haven't seen so many armors with that mod anywhere and I should only have two such armors equipped. The 26 occurances of both minor spellbindings of touch of rot and spreading plague are also puzzling.
  19. Well, no other pieces of loot seem to be in the MobileObjects.save and other loot sold seems to go to the merchants and their corresponding area saves. I would personally just make the sold plain items go poof, after the very start of the game you have almost zero use for the unenchanted stuff anyway.
  20. There are at least two threads on this already and some causes are already known, use the search before blindly posting a new thread. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/73986-chanter-rime-and-frost-traps-get-saved-causing-mobileobjectssave-to-grow-out-of-control/ http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72764-quick-saving-and-loading-times-increased-greatly-after-20-hours/ And some of the major causes for this are already known.
  21. My save had about 1600 Rime and Frost traps and each trap took around 26kb of space in the MobileObjects.save, thus it was around 40Mb of traps. I haven't looked up on how much space one summoned skeleton-group takes, but the second script also removing them is what got rid of the last 1Mb of junk in your case.
  22. Even when the saving and loading gets rid of the constant damage over time and the visual effects it still leaves two effects on the character panel, both are unnamed, one is "; 8 raw damage" and other is ": -20 concentration" I don't know if they still apply to anything.
