  1. artist is the most recent recipient o' the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass. am not making up that award neither. HA! Good Fun! ps check ms. giddens and the other members o' carolina chocolate drops for some good stuff http://www.carolinachocolatedrops.com/
  2. is football season and in spite o' our growing concerns 'bout football safety, is difficult for us to take ninja warrior serious when we can see jack lamberts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Lo1sAzOkU and walter paytons every weekend. with the olympics in the rear view mirror, our admitted irrational disdain for any 'sport' that don't include contact resurfaces in an ugly sorta way. HA! Good Fun!
  3. am not having seen anything from prescott that would make us believe that he is ready for the nfl. completion % were, at best, not good, especially when one considers the kinda passes being thrown. yardage total for the number o' passes were also extreme low. the giants dl were good against the run, but is not as if they were chasing dak all over the field. in the absence o' passing numbers, there were no dynamic running from dak to impress us. am suspecting that if the giants had scored 50 points and won the game, people would be talking 'bout how awful were prescott. regardless, is week 1. is dak prescott's week 1 in multiple senses of the word. the number of forgotten nfl qbs that actual looked fantastic in their first game is considerable. the number of great nfl qbs that looked terrible in their first outing is legion. heck rick mirer won rookie of the year as a seahawk and after one season, the debate 'bout whether vince young thrive in the nfl were hardly finished after year or week 1. particularly for dual-threat qbs on whom there is no nfl film, defenses will play extreme conservative. trying to gauge any level of future qb success at this time would be premature. dak got the w. not just prescott, but week 1 sunday is typical followed by overreaction monday. HA! Good Fun!
  4. is difficult for us to hate the guy seeing as how we have never seen him as an adult in anything... ever. road to perdition? he were thirteen or fourteen? 'course we couldn't get through more than 2.5 episodes of supergirl. sorry guys, but the show were kinda terrible, other than over-the-top calista flockhart. didn't disney do a cartoon 'bout a spunky female superhero? kim possible? from what little we saw o' both, the cartoon were better. HA! Good Fun!
  5. well, https://shipwiki.wikispaces.com/Enterprise?responseToken=45a01415294d3ccebc73de13e7a2f81e natural progression HA! Good Fun!
  6. the question is whether those plans existed before or after the model were used in the pilot episode. am suspecting that the model were a reality and then somebody afterwards decided to fill in the empty space with a "rational" ship design. am not enough o' a star trek fan to know if the chicken or egg came first in this situation. HA! Good Fun!
  7. playing in a good room can make your music sound better. HA! Good Fun!

  9. Let me guess....the people who claim she is unqualified are......Trump and GOP supporters ? clinton has experience. is not same as being qualified. to once again mention the foreign policy blunders o' the obama administration would be a d HA! Good Fun! ps if kgambit or others wanna fight with bruce 'bout US foreign policy mistakes o' the last 8 years, so be it, but we has done the groundhog day shtick too many times for it to be funny. Guys please lets not be worried about discussing US foreign policy, I am very comfortable having this debate yet again. Some of you guys feel Obama failed or made several blunders, I know some but what exactly would you guys say are " failures of the US foreign policy " ...just make bullet points if you want so I get the general idea, because i can't be bothered to review the half dozen fruitless and previous incarnations of the foreign policy debates that exist on this board. fixed HA! Good Fun!
  10. am with you on this. am not getting how the "goldman-sachs" response became the reflexive argument to counter trump's reluctance to provide tax returns. trump supporters wanna see transcripts? ok. fine. how on earth does that diminish the value and relevance o' trump's tax returns? why don't trump supporters wanna see his tax returns? got a businessman with no political experience running for President. so... tax returns. HA! Good Fun!
  11. Let me guess....the people who claim she is unqualified are......Trump and GOP supporters ? clinton has experience. is not same as being qualified. to once again mention the foreign policy blunders o' the obama administration would be a dead end in a discussion with bruce. am sorry, but you do a mighty fine ostrich impression when it comes to foreign policy blunders o' the obama administration. has had same discussion multiple times and you always wanna start it anew. sorry, but is true. like it or not, clinton were involved in those foreign policy gaffes. *shrug* that being said, as 'tween clinton and trump, we would choose clinton... particularly 'cause trump's grasp o' foreign policy issues is misinformed to the point where it is actual frightening to consider ramifications o' President Trump. alternatively, trump positions on foreign relations ain't genuine and is tailored to resonate with a large number o' angry and ignorant americans who simple like to hear a candidate who talks tough and simple, which don't make us feel any better. clinton's qualifications may be terrible, but trump is the alternative... and gd mentioning johnson as an option is gonna necessarily be a bit muted given the 3rd party candidate's recent public bafflement. we got choices, none o' which is appealing. regardless, clinton does have experience, but that don't make her qualified. HA! Good Fun! ps if kgambit or others wanna fight with bruce 'bout US foreign policy mistakes o' the last 8 years, so be it, but we has done the groundhog day shtick too many times for it to be funny.
  12. No I didnt because it would be unfair to scrutinize either candidate's history in this way and then judge them on this type of past action Things like the email scandal matter to me And I am being balanced, I could post daily inconsistencies of things Trump says that are inaccurate but I only post the " big " things he says Are you really saying that a candidate's past performance in business and/or government isn't pertinent in judging their qualifications for POTUS? Or is that just a convenient excuse that lets you sweep uncomfortable things under the rug? this election is weird... weirder. oh sure, all major elections track away from the issues and from actual candidate qualifications, but this Presidential election has predictable devolved to the point where the major topics being debated is candidate health and whether trump or clinton is the bigger jerk. other than broad-stroke ideological differences, the American people appear little concerned 'bout qualifications o' the candidates. that ain't shocking or different than in the past elections save for the degree to which qualifications has been marginalized. as you note, past performance in business and government would seeming be relevant, but mention tax returns and trump supporters sneer... and is no better for clinton folks. weird. HA! Good Fun! ps tax returns
  13. is gonna be pvp players who is very unhappy 'bout the form removal. assassin/shadow, powertech/vanguard and juggernaut/guardian tanks has been using dps gear on their tanks and switching forms as is advantageous since... well, since hybrid builds were removed. to a lesser degree, pvp sages and sorcerers has also benefited from the ability to switch forms. well, thanks for the info. HA! Good Fun!
  14. it annoys us that our tomato soups, with almost few exceptions, taste better when we use canned tomatoes. wth. unless we go through the effort o' actual roasting our tomatoes, it is our experience that canned tomatoes is superior for our soup. am not certain why that admission bothers us so much, but it does. our roasted red pepper and tomatoes soup that is actual superior with fresh tomatoes is simple. roast the red pepper (cored and halved), tomatoes (cored and halved), garlic (skinned) and onion (skinned and quartered) with a little (too much) olive oil. puree vegetables, any roasting pan drippings and brown stuff, plus a couple seeded chipotle peppers. add stock and heat... bit o' salt and a smidgen o' sugar if is too acidic. cilantro or basil both compliment well. but this is pretty much our only recipe for tomato soup that requires fresh tomatoes. weird. HA! Good Fun!
  15. took another swtor break after getting an imp and pub to 65 for the Dv.L companion reward thingie. however, we will likely do the play-as-hk-55 mission this weekend. HA! Good Fun!
  16. another culinerdy cruzer friday. went with the bahn jovi and the tempura green beans for our side. hmmm... am recalling seeing a video for the sandwich. http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/home-and-family/videos/bahn-jovi-sandwiches-home-family we almost pulled the trigger on the panty-dropper burger. 1/2 burger on texas toast with fire roasted tomatoes, mac n' cheese, bacon, More cheese and the house sauce. am thinking that main reason we were gonna order is simple so we could actual ask for a panty-dropper. HA! Good Fun!
  17. ignores 2,977 and 63. to make a point, folks gotta ignore 9/11 victims, near 3,000 of them. must also ignore that in the last 12 months we has seen more than 60 victims o' islamic terrorists. on the other hand, the lawnmower numbers is funny, 'specially considering how many safety measures those things typical got these days. back in ye olde tymes, we recall the side-bag mowers would easily become clogged if grass were the least bit wet. am not certain how many times we reached down and pulled out grass while mower were still running. stoopid, but as it took considerable effort, and a couple heartfelt hail marys and our fathers for pre-teen Gromnir to get the antiquated briggs & stratton mower started, we would typical risk dismemberment rather than shutting off the engine. also, our yard were not a clean and manicured plane o' green, so innumerable rocks o' impressive dimensions had been launched by our mower at nolan ryan speeds to bounce off barns, houses, cars, cows, horses and even Gromnir. might be some karma involved with the Gromnir strikes seeing as we typical laughed when livestock were hit. nowadays, 'less your mower is +30 years old or industrial, the safety measures to prevent injury is extreme. that being said, some four or so months ago, our gardener, a guy who works at the local golf course, managed to lose the outside toes on both his feet in a mower accident. we got a powerful imagination, but w/o the addition o' comical slippery banana peels or the intervention o' gremlins, am still trying to picture how in a single lawnmower accident a guy loses 2-3 outside toes on both feet. HA! Good Fun!
  18. http://www.therestisnoise.com/2004/04/arvo_prt_1.html "Several people have told me essentially this same story about the still, sad music of Pärt—how it became, for them or for others, a vehicle of solace. One or two such anecdotes seem sentimental; a series of them begins to suggest a slightly uncanny phenomenon. Patrick Giles, in an article for Salon, reported that when he worked as a volunteer for an AIDS organization, in the nineteen-eighties, he played "Tabula Rasa" for those facing the final onslaught of the disease, and they developed a peculiar, almost desperate attachment to it. Once, when Giles was away, the mother of one of the dying men called with an anxious query. "He keeps asking for 'angel music,' " she said. "What the hell is that?" The music in question was the second movement of "Tabula Rasa," in which a rustling arpeggio on a prepared piano leads into glacial chords of D minor." always liked it. HA! Good Fun!
  19. the level o' violence has been serious increasing in the past few months. construction sites and cops is now using dogs. is difficult to explain to a person who has never seen police dog bite wounds just how ugly the injuries is. on the other hand, protesters is ramping up their efforts as their concerns is repeated ignored. protest camp numbers range anywhere from hundreds to thousands and we got such stuff as laser pointers aimed at patrol aircraft, pipe bombs and mounted protesters rushing police/security lines (that coulda' been very bad) becoming increasing common. this situation has been out-of-hand for months, but nobody is doing anything meaningful to prevent escalation. ps is a great deal o' misinformation at play, so am not genuine certain what is going on. listen to the protesters and they got all kinda crazy conspiracy theories. at the same time, you got state, fed and private hierarchies that clear ain't working together and is bumbling and stumbling their way towards catastrophe. pps we keep seeing the water removal claim from protester side and it does exemplify misinformation. numbers o' protesters has swelled considerable. there is a fed protected campsite where water and other resources is being provided. unfortunately, protests ain't orderly. a second campsite sorta spontaneous sprung up on army corps o' engineer land. unfortunate, the response to protesters were not orderly. water tanks that were s'posed to be at the established site were accidental at the trespass site. water trucks (but not all such water resources at the site) gets transferred away from the trespass site during a particular heated time (literal and figurative) and next thing you know we is hearing that the Fed is trying to shut down the protesters by shutting off water. ... is a mess
  20. 'cause God loves baseball HA! Good Fun! ps God doesn't actual care 'bout sports, but his mother loves college football.
  21. am pretty sure that both clinton and trump play monopoly, and they both believe that cheating is part o' the game. HA! Good Fun!
  22. 'tween the solar city 'merger and the money being hemorrhaged by musk's various endeavors, am kinda waiting to hear that our ordered tesla inexplicable exploded while leaving the factory. HA! Good Fun!
  23. the thing we hate most 'bout geralt is that am pretty certain that we woulda' thought he were the kewlest character evar.... back when we were thirteen or fourteen. the witchers is written as if to mock our pretentious teenage self, and geralt is the embodiment o' the cartoony grimdark protagonist we no doubt woulda' mistaken applauded as authentic and nuanced. *groan* am suspecting that we dislike geralt so much 'cause the character reminds us o' a Gromnir we would just as soon pretend never existed. HA! Good Fun!
  24. am not certain why any ~70-year-old person would wanna be President. even the spry and fit septuagenarians we know is slowing down... and taking more naps. but again, we got alternatives o' trump and clinton. 'course we also have the case o' jfk http://content.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,393754,00.html http://www.nytimes.com/1992/10/06/health/the-doctor-s-world-disturbing-issue-of-kennedy-s-secret-illness.html?pagewanted=all http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2013/08/the-medical-ordeals-of-jfk/309469/ can go down list o' Presidents such as wilson, cleveland, and chester a. arthur, all o' whom had serious medical issues that they purposefully withheld from the public. ... am just kinda ambivalent 'bout Presidential health. we know it is a serious issue, but we kinda take it on faith that these guys, regardless o' their desire to be Prez, also got the intelligence and sense to decide if their health would prevent them from serving for four years. am knowing that we will never know complete truth 'bout candidate health unless the candidates wanna let us know. see those before-and-after pictures o' guys at start and end o' their Presidency-- is obviously a physical taxing job. 'course we also know that poor health don't render a person incapable o' doing great things. ambivalent. it's an issue, but we vacillate 'bout how important it is. HA! Good Fun!
  25. she is old. 68. two years younger than trump. old people get neck/throat wattle. *shrug* old people is kinda "nasty" but only in the sense that they force us to recognize the fate which awaits all who... live. HA! Good Fun!
