most russians we deal with dress like the guy on the left even if they is all trying a bit too hard to channel alex kovas from rocknrolla am pretty sure the russian track suit thing died out in the 90s save for with the street punk/gangsta crowd. even so, is our understanding that when the wall fell and russians sudden had access to western goods, buying stuff with recognizable labels became an instant measure o' status. unfortunate, most russians at the time didn't have much cash. addidas track suits were cheap but also instant recognizable as brand name. HA! Good Fun! ps am admitting we ain't been back to russia for many years, but such is the explanation we got from russian 'business' folks we deal with.

for perspective, we actual supported mahmoud abdul rauf. http://articles.latimes.com/1996-03-13/sports/sp-46409_1_mahmoud-abdul-rauf is not that we agreed with the nba star, but we admired his conviction, and thoughtfulness. no silly sox. no bs stories to validate his position. no excuses. the nba player believed that the USA, while a great place for him to earn money, were a nation o' tyranny and oppression. again, we disagreed with mahmoud abdul rauf, but we respected the man. we did not support his position or his beliefs, but as an American, we had little difficulty in supporting a peaceful protest o' perceived injustice. HA! Good Fun!

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-national-anthem-20160901-snap-story.html in regards to hurl comments, yeah, the cops is not helping, but typical we are talking 'bout off-duty cops "policing" games. the actual department stance on such stuff is a bit more enlightened. http://www.mercurynews.com/49ers-stadium/ci_30326623/santa-clara-police-chief-urges-officers-protect-public HA! the media, as a whole, were helping kaepernick, a back-up qb who has literal thrown away a very promising football career these past few years, from making himself look like an idiot. when initial questioned 'bout his impromptu protest, kaepernick explained 'bout evil cops and bodies piling up in the streets, but he also rambled on 'bout the Presidential candidates, and NFL ownership and whatever else seemed to pop into his head. when pressed 'bout his own experiences with racism, he offered up a lochte-esque story o' police barging into his home and aiming guns at him and his college football roommates for no reason other than that they were the only african-americans in the neighborhood. the media coulda' made this guy look utter ridiculous, and sure, a few folks in the media has taken kaepernick to task, but the media, as a whole, has given this guy a pass. comparisons to muhammad ali and jackie robinson is comical misplaced for the guy who were wearing his pigs-dressed-as-cops socks in the weeks leading up to his national anthem protest. immature and uneducated. kaepernick's protest were the classical dumb jock doing something predictable dumb, but in this day and age, calling out the kaepernicks for their stoopidity is likely gonna get you labeled as a racist, or worse. 'course our biggest issue with kaepernick's protest were not the non-existent free speech issue *snort* or the way kaepernick were handled with kid gloves by the majority o' media outlets. nope. our big problem is both kaepernick and the media is seeming missing a fundamental flaw in such a protest being directed at the USA. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/84558-nfl-2016-season/?p=1839274 http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/88037-dallas-sniper-shootings/?p=1830101 unlike many other western nations, our police is not maintained by the national government. we got state cops and county cops and city cops, and we got a Constitution that specific reserves police power to individual states. there is actual very little the USA can do 'bout police behaviors in california or missouri or illinois. the media got distracted and helped perpetuate ignorance and myth. blm has purposeful avoided specific leadership. am seeing positives from this, but the negative is the media is desperate to give a face and a voice to the movement. regardless o' the insights o' kaepernick, those in the media who support blm use the backup qb to make a point, just as does those who find blm fundamental flawed. kaepernick's protest, which to his credit has morphed and streamlined a bit, is largely incidental to the continuing media debate regarding blm. ... but to echo gd (sorta) there ain't no free speech issue at play insofar is the kaepernick debate is concerned. kaepernick ain't being denied speech By The Government. am constant baffled when we see folks reference first amendment free speech on these boards. get fired by an employer for shouting anti-semitic slurs at customers is not a first amendment free speech issue-- thank goodness. a parent "grounds" their child for using profanity is not a first amendment free speech issue. a game developer cancels an interview with codex is not a free speech issue... first amendment or otherwise. *shakes head* gonna have a hard time finding a more ardent supporter o' free speech than Gromnir, but just 'cause folks don't wanna listen to your nonsense is hardly creating a free speech issue. you believe strongly in... whatever? then go ahead and speak. thanks to the First Amendment, State consequences, limits and punishments o' speech is largely verboten... and god bless america for that protection o' a fundamental liberty, 'cause the rest o' the western world is far less interested in individual speech protections. even so, only the most obtuse kinda yutz is believing that speakers is deserving to be insulated from the ordinary and every day consequences o' their speech. The metric system is awesome; everything divisible by ten. Soccer, on the other hand, still sucks. Inductive reasoning tells me that Soccer must not be divisible by ten. Eleven players on each team and single digit scores. Yep, this checks out. am guessing one could say that Gromnir likes soccer, but is kinda the same way we like fireworks displays. once or twice a year, likely as part o' a quasi-patriotic obligation, we watch fireworks... or soccer. more than 20 minutes o' slight variations o' the same thing being done over and over gets pretty freaking monotonous be it fireworks or soccer. as with both fireworks and soccer, the best part is seeing the kids enjoy themselves, yes? like it? ok, but only in small doses. HA! Good Fun!

sleep is overrated... unless you have gone a few days w/o sleep. ... is actual the biggest difference 'tween Gromnir 2016 and Gromnir 1996. in 20s and early 30s, allnighters were something we did without enjoyment but w/o concern. we go a couple days without sleep nowadays and we become sock puppet guy. HA! Good Fun!

am not thinking the list is a ranking, and yeah, first 1/2 is clear avoiding the genuine horror flicks... though am not sure how to deal with practical magic as it ain't a kid's movie neither. am gonna stay with halloween specific as the theme, as 'posed to horror, and note that we forgot et. HA! Good Fun!

am also planning on seeing their new release. is odd for us 'cause is not the kinda film we take a date to, and most o' our friends with whom we see movies ain't fans o' animated. might have to go solo, which always feels strange. HA! Good Fun! ps will also observe that we much enjoy cartoon saloon's work. the secret of the kells and song of the sea both got narrative flaws, but is wonderfully animated.

ed wood to kill a mockingbird song of the sea kramer v. kramer arsenic and old lace paranorman and of course, showgirls. all set around halloween. am a particular fan o' paranorman. the soundtrack for paranorman is also one o' our current favorites, regardless o' the holiday theme and/or setting. HA! Good Fun! edit: changed mind on video... went short. apologies

fixed. giant meteor would cause considerable collateral damage. a meteor, even the size o' a marble, would more than do the trick. HA! Good Fun!

am s'posing that the devil and the deep blue sea options is appropriate in the present context. unfortunately, am not certain what the candidates actual represent. bruce is the board's stuart smalley. politically, bruce is a bit random, but he sure does think obama and clinton are swell, so... wod? sure, we got two ends o' a spectrum, but is less a political divide than temperament. HA! Good Fun!

stated by whom? sensuki has provided sketchy details and we clear has not followed this silliness elsewhere. how were interview set up, and with whom? letter? email? phone call? who were parties to setting up the interview? when were interview set-up? when and where (specific) were interview scheduled to take place? any specific provisos regarding possible cancellations communicated at time interview were set up? how were interview canceled? when, specific? who communicated cancellation and to whom were cancellation communicated? email? phone call. snail mail? were reason given for cancellation? what, if any, were reason provided for cancellation? specific. did codex respond to the cancellation? how did codex respond? who at codex responded? there were a request for personal info from infiltron, yes? when? who specific requested? how were such a request communicated? to whom were request communicated? how did codex respond? who at codex actual responded? etc. there is folks telling us what were reasons for cancellation, but nothing in quotes as we would expect. am not seeing dates or specific names or anything we would expect from folks confident that they been done wrong. simple oversight? possible. in our experience, folks screwed over loves to give details. gotta pull teeth to get info from shady... not our board shady, but non-specific sketchy shady characters. sensuki's reasons (transparent as they may be,) is largely irrelevant. if some genuine wrong were done to codex, then the wrong should be communicated fully, and with supporting evidence. HA! Good Fun!

The Weird, Random, and Interesting things that Fit Nowhere Else Thread

useless? are you kidding? am not caring if it is the world's most uncomfortable chair, but it would be extreme useful for when family visits. the kids would love it and we would derive much pleasure as we strike a slouching super-villain pose while deigning listen to our aunts, cousins, and uncles complain 'bout... whatever. "yes, please do continue." HA! Good Fun! ps we would buy one today if not for fact that such silliness is almost always ridiculous expensive and we is too cheap to throw away money on such joke props. -
I believe the meme is, "Fixed that for you." You're welcome. Causality is overrated. doesn't look fixed. not take a person serious simple 'cause they is a journalist would be a bit curious. is any number o' journalists we take serious. am betting there is journalists hurl takes serious. one would expect that there is journalists that nonek takes serious in spite o' his fix. that being said, is clear no reason to take somebody serious just 'cause they claim to be a journalist. the internet has spawned a blogging culture that has diluted what were once journalism. is particular tough considering how little the more respectable print journalists actual get paid. http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Reporter,_Newspaper/Salary we take journalists as serious as their work demands. bad journalists, which is the norm 'mongst so-called gaming journalists, deserve little respect. others? http://www.cjr.org/analysis/the_best_and_worst_journalism_of_2015.php is good and bad. HA! Good Fun!

yeah, 'cause they can't cancel pending the release o' the desired info. isn't as if these things ain't scheduled months in advance. whole thing sounds absolute idiotic. not to provide limited identity info to a corporate entity from whom you is requesting interviews is jackarse stoopid. one thing sensuki got right it seems is that the timing is largely irrelevant. sarex suggest some kinda subpoena situation is occurring, which makes even more ridiculous. why did they cancel our complete unrelated interview? well perhaps the legal action they is taking 'gainst one o' your editors could explain that quirky behavior... but again, is all second and third and perhaps four or more people removed from whatever is the actual truth. HA! Good Fun! ps and in case some is missing, is sensuki who added the info 'bout the request for identifying info from codex regarding infiltron. sensuki obvious thought that nugget were relevant to his story. sure, perhaps he didn't realize the significance, but try and ignore? bad.
-
with a beta run, you coulda' had a paladin, fighter, rogue and barbarian and four o' your party woulda' been extreme light on the micromanagement. that being said, initially, when beta were released, combat felt frenetic even with low micromanagement. in spite o' fact that you couldn't do much other than move your pawns, enemies had all kinda abilities. the pace o' combat were quick. HA! Good Fun!

Not that I'm defending the Codex, couldn't care less about them, but the way Gromnir has been spinning it makes it sound like InExile just wanted to know who they were talking to, which certainly doesn't seem to be the case. we got no idea what is details other than what sensuki provided. he noted that codex were asked for name and email and etc, but didn't elaborate when we asked if the info requested were more intrusive. did they wanna subpeona? would be jackarse stoopid to act surprised that an interview were cancelled if a codexian editor is hiding behind anonymity to avoid legal action, no? even so, we can only respond to sensuki and the info he provides, 'cause we sure ain't interested enough to dig for info. HA! Good Fun!
