Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6
Gromnir replied to bugarup's topic in Computer and Console
azata just got a silly kinda item related upgrade. the ring of triumphant advance doubles morale bonuses. incredible might is an azata sooper powha which adds a morale bonus based on mythic level bonus to ab and damage, so up to +10. the ring makes this bonus potential +20, albeit level 10 mythic is achieved at the extreme end o' game. the morale bonuses for the azata spell believe in yourself is to attributes and went from max+5 to +10 when wearing the ring. previous to this patch, believe in yourself were unaffected by the ring of triumphant advance. admitted, the ring is now working as described, but is nevertheless a nice bonus for azata to be seeing believe in yourself bonuses doubled. edit: is a handful o' new druid spells which interest us more than a little. winter's grasp and tidal surge is cold conjuration spells which cause prone and do damage. as they are conjuration, they are gonna ignore sr. explosion of rot, a necromancy spell, is also kinda nifty as it does decent damage but also renders foes staggered. HA! Good Fun! -
citizen kane wasn't a box office smash in 1941 and is even more difficult for a 2023 audience to appreciate. bartimaeus didn't begin watching movies in the 1930s, and is unlikely his movie viewing were entire chronological based. your viewing history makes it difficult to appreciate how movies changed with citizen kane. the thing is, both from a storytelling and cinematography pov, citizen kane altered the manner in which films were crafted. (fixed)orson welles' flick were revolutionary but not in ways you might immediate recognize as a 2023 viewer and maybe not even in 1941. years o' marriage covered in a minute and a half o' screen time. kane weren't the first to do montage, but it fundamental changed how it were used, but for a 2023 viewer, is something you even notice? deep focus weren't pioneered in kane, but again, the filming changed the way stories were told. above is a scene where kane loses his empire and in the span o' a few seconds we see kane, who woulda' been literal larger than life on a movie screen, shrink. 'bove is only a couple examples. unlike Gromnir, the real film students may wax rhapsodic for hours 'bout kane. like it or not as entertainment, citizen kane is one o' those few genuine revolutionary films. how many films literal changed the way subsequent films were made? HA! Good Fun!

is complicated. women are not minorities and they have the right to vote. from a Court pov, women do not fulfill the the suspect class factors for achieving strict scrutiny when applying equal protection or substantive due process analysis. says landed white men, the Constitution don't have explicit protections for landed white men and such is not needed 'cause men got the right to vote and always has. however, women has not always had the right to vote, so a grey area is created and the Court, in a decision written by J. O'Connor, determined women should enjoy quasi-suspect class protection and receive intermediate scrutiny when there is a gender-based question before the Court. is perhaps ironic but the most significant legal obstacle to women receiving equal rights under the current Constitution is the fact women voters is the majority. ... the thing is, as should be obvious by now following the death of roe, reliance on SCOTUS opinions to preserve fundamental rights is a strategy requiring the continued good will o' nine (at the moment) individuals who were not themselves democratic elected and who owe no allegiance to the People. logical, creation o' an amendment guaranteeing the equal rights for women when women is representing majority in the democratic republic which is the US should be unnecessary and is arguable self serving. 'course is one o' those situations when logic is gonna trip you up. in CA, there has been at least one female US senator since the early 90s. adam schiff is seeking to replace dianne feinstein and he is facing substantial democrat opposition in the liberal state in large part because he ain't a minority or a woman. is hard to imagine any time soon when tommy tuberville would face a gender or race obstacle in alabama but like it or not, is many women voters in alabama who make tommy tuberville possible just as is women who is gonna decide whether or not adam schiff satisfies identity politics prerequisites. in our opinion there should be an amendment protecting women's rights, but Gromnir's opinion is almost complete immaterial. a new amendment requires 2/3 o' states or a Constitutional Convention to be happening. given the current degree of polarization in the US, is difficult to imagine any meaningful amendments being passed. a fair number o' states have equal rights baked into their Constitutions. California is an example o' a state which historical protected women's rights and is not 'cause CA has always been liberal. CA had community property and women's rights from early days 'cause o' the most practical reason: california needed women. more specific, CA wanted women with money to come to CA and/or not leave CA. the california gold rush brought a whole lotta impoverished men to CA, but not so many women. regardless, this issue o' the era is perhaps more complex than it first seems. HA! Good Fun!

is not uncommon for us to get a hankering for fry bread, but our grandmother made with lard, so it don't taste right to us unless is made with lard. probable the only reason grandma used lard is 'cause such is what we typical had available. unfortunate, we rare have lard on hand anymore, so is equal rare we make fry bread. oh well. our grandfather claimed he preferred absolute ghastly wildrice flat bread/cakes. the wild rice abominations were a pre-colonial staple not requiring wheat flour or baking powder. eating those things is where our lifelong disgust o' wild rice began. am knowing britain has laws 'bout replica weapons being displayed public. am also recalling a few o' the original sw prop weapons were real pistols or whatever with added doodads. have a friend who does this kinda thing and we were shocked when we picked up his han solo blaster and we realized just how heavy it were. reason for the heft were 'cause there were a real mauser underneath the extra bits. am wondering if you ever get forced to make a weapon look less realistic just so it won't be confiscated or worse. unrelated, am remembering at least one o' the original movie lightsabre hilts were, at its core, a flash attachment for a camera, the kinda camera which no longer exists in 2023. is no doubt a bit more difficult to make "authentic" replicas (weird phrase) o' a few items nowadays. try and follow the original prop designer plans is gonna be improbable and not just 'cause a real mauser is likely verboten in britain. HA! Good Fun!

have mentioned previous how the goal o' many stories written for kids is to teach 'em bout death and/or to make 'em weep. why? dunno. steinbeck's red pony, patterson's bridge to teribithia, yawlings yearling and too many others to list has a beloved pet, animal companion and/or dear friend die. in fact, disney added the death o' gurgi to their black cauldron 'cause old disney had some weird rule that kids need weep at least once in their earlier films? how many theatres over the years went nuts with kid wails when bambi's mother were shot? it is not difficult to make kids cry, so am always having been curious as to why a goal o' many writers o' children's fare is to generate tears. suppressed sadism? HA! Good Fun!

exactly. is unlikely this were the first movie trailer keyrock had ever seen, so is doubtful he were genuine caught off guard by the disconnect 'tween epic music and a few seconds o' scenes taken outta context. indeed. am suggesting he struggled to find other problems. HA! Good Fun!

am suspecting your recollection is the norm as 'posed to the exception. perhaps too few parents nowadays is reading to their kids, but even if they are, am doubtful peter and wendy makes top twenty lists. we frequent lament how underappreciated is authors o' children's fiction, mentioning lloyd alexander, phillip pullman, simon juster, madeleine l'engle, rudyard kipling and neil gaiman just to name a few. am old, so am no doubt ignoring a whole catalog o' recent authors making great youth fiction, authors o' whom we ain't even aware. furthermore, is vast repositories o' fairytales and mythology from 'round the world we would be reading to kids before we would ever get 'round to considering barrie. heck, we would even read shakespeare before trying barrie. have seen criticism o' the recent trailer other than epic music in a movie trailer. New live-action 'Peter Pan' trailer shocks with major character changes: 'Diversity nonsense' predictable. the book peter and wendy is pre adolescents, but the author did not otherwise describe their appearance in any detail save for attire. tinker bell? author left her visual characteristics up to the imagination o' readers, and her personality is as broken as is peter's. 'ccording to barrie, tinker bell is so diminutive she may hold onto no more than one emotion at a time. disney influenced the multitudinous versions o' peter pan which followed far more than did the original novel and play. as such, the expectations 'bout character appearance and personalities is more linked to disney than barrie. gonna repeat, am not a fan o' the barrie works but we also weren't a fan o' disney, so we had no good will built up in advance o' the trailer. the trailer changed our mind for the better, 'cause while we ain't a fan o' barrie, we ain't ever seen an effort to do peter pan based on peter and wendy v. peter pan. peter pan is functional suffering a curse which keeps him perpetual shallow, selfish and smug, incapable o' making and maintaining meaningful relations. the curse ain't some kinda faustian bargain in which he sacrifices his soul, nor is it akin to greek tragedy in which he were cursed by the gods for impiety. peter pan is a kid in perpetuity. that's it. you would think such cynical thematic material would be a hard sell particular for family movies, but every few years there is a new effort to do peter pan. fascinating, no? while am not a fan o' barrie, am curious to see what a director produces when trying to be faithful to barrie themes especial 'cause am believing most people is like bartimaeus and they do not know the source material. curious, the expectations created by disney allows a director who is faithful to source material to nevertheless surprise audiences with something unexpected. HA! Good Fun!

we said we didn't like the peter pan stories, but am nevertheless recognizing something clever j.m. barrie did with the play and novel. children is gonna enjoy the tale in a much different way than will adults. is not simple a matter o' how with more education and experience adults will recognize aspects o' story which may be less obvious to children. is not a phantom tollbooth or even rocky and bullwinkle situation. the core themes o' pan stories is dealing with childhood and kids ain't equipped to understand. the inability o' children to grok peter and wendy is a cognitive development obstacle as 'posed to lack of knowledge. events and scenes from barrie stories in which child audiences is meant to laugh and cheer, an adult audience is likely to feel pity or even weep. have never seen return to neverland, so we cannot speak to its quality, and as already noted, am not a fan o' peter pan in general. even so, peter pan stories should be viewed different as adults compared to when one is a child. if you saw or read a peter pan tale as a kid, then is appropriate your childhood memories should be fundamental altered when experiencing as an adult. HA! Good Fun!

epic music is the fail? you ain't never seen a trailer before yesterday? is a trailer, so is not gonna be more than one music track anyways. *shrug* peter pan, the character from the book, is s'posed to be an unlikable and smug little d-bag, though in a trailer which peter gets two spoken lines and less than ten seconds in which you could see his face clear enough to read facial expressions, am thinking you are perhaps trying too hard to find fault. and again, peter pan is a kid. in the novel (and play) he is written as selfish and immature because, he is a kid. peter pan says inappropriate when is most inappropriate and habitual takes credit for the achievements o' others. did we mention selfish? needs repeating 'cause other than foolish bravery, selfishness is his most defining quality. IF peter is "straight up smug" in this new iteration, and from the extreme limited trailer exposure am not sure how one arrives at such a conclusion, then it means this version o' peter is far closer to the author's intended character than most previous adaptions. example: in a follow up peter pan story by the original author, it is revealed that tinker bell died a short time after the events o' the peter and wendy tale, and within a few years peter has literal complete forgotten tinker bell. peter doesn't genuine care 'bout anybody. peter does have a somewhat obsessive fixation with wendy and her descendants, but is extreme shallow and childish. we wouldn't say wendy has only one expression in the trailer, but she does suffer from the open-mouth wonder, fear, confusion bit. if is some other reason... HA! Good Fun!
-
reasons? personally, we dislike the peter pan story and the cinematic graveyard is littered with bad peter pan films. also, live-action disney remakes o' their animated catalog has been near universal miss. we didn't know anything about this film 'til we saw the trailer, which is another example o' our zero interest. was every reason to expect seeing the trailer would confirm our disinterest. ... peter and many o' the lost boys look like little kids. in the novel we got no specific mention 'o peter's age, but he proud announces he retains all his baby teeth at one point. many o' the themes is inextricable linked to peter and the kids being... kids. in so many movies, peter and the boys appear old enough to break a few themes from the book. if you think a peter pan movie should follow the source material regarding theme, then this trailer provides a glimmer o' hope. again, am not a fan o' the novel, but am admitted more curious 'cause the movie looks as if is trying to handle core themes in a way all those crap adaptions did not. am at least curious. am not having complaints 'bout visuals and sound. did not go cheap. is scenes which reminded us o' scorsese's hugo, and not just the clock. is only a trailer, but we saw a few genuine beautiful shots with fantastic use o' light. jude law, alan tudyk and molly parker is in the trailer and mr. law sounded appropriate menacing. am optimistic 'bout the cast, though kid actors is always a crap shoot. after viewing the trailer, we checked and saw the director is the person who did the recent green knight. am far more interested today than we were yesterday, and yesterday we had not seen the trailer. 'course the thing is, we still don't particular like peter pan, so... HA! Good Fun!

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6

gonna pretend this is a serious question. admission: am never having played wotr on a difficulty lower than core, so am only able to speak to core and above. the thing is, even on core you may enjoy +90% o' the game w/o any kinda munchkinism or effort to craft character and party builds which focus on efficacy. the remaining less than 10% o' encounters is the problem. many/most boss battles, and a few other encounters, represent dramatic difficulty spikes and if you didn't choose the right character and party builds with the correct feats, spells and weapon choices, is more than likely you will face considerable frustration. play wotr and if you do not already have intimate pathfinder and owlcat version o' pathfinder experience, as well as meta knowledge 'bout specific wotr encounters, then chances are you will at some point need come to a board like this for advice or seek out guides to help get past __________ or __________. also keep in mind there is a whole lotta combat in wotr. we would be shocked if normal difficulty didn't suffer similar difficulty spikes as core. am realizing people don't like the munchkin label as it has a negative connotation, but am gonna suggest it is difficult to enjoy wotr w/o embracing your inner lollipop guildmaster. if you wanna take down the evil wotr witch, you need do more than wait for a house to fall on her. you are gonna need choose the right weapons and right multi-class choices and right feats if you wanna avoid frustration in those less than 10% o' threshold encounters, and many o' those encounters is not optional. HA! Good Fun! -

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6

you did respec/change your main character almost immediate based on feedback from this board, yes? call it exploits or not, you were knowing what did and didn't work in ways folks complete new to the game might be unaware. at the very least am recalling from your playful darkness fight image you got sosiel an animal companion and the animal domain is hardly obvious for a cleric o' shelyn. is nothing wrong with taking advice from boardies, but board advice mighta' looked a fair bit different in 2021 in spite o' fact is more than a few persons hereabouts who had played the beta for considerable hours. is 2023 people offering advice, some suggesting combats ain't so difficult, and they were the folks complaining in 2021 'bout how busted were boss battles. *shrug* quibble over what constitutes exploits maybe misses the point. and you did play the act 3 treasure isle dlc, which already provided more than necessary money for a completionist. the game isn't necessarily designed for people who complete every quest. needs to be enough money and things to buy for a critical path player, which necessarily breaks the game for the point o' money for a player who completes everything. again, as a point o' reference, mid act iv is where money became a non-factor for us our firstest time. for a game in which numerous people is complaining that is already too ez from mid-too late, how much sense would it make to provide purchasable stuff which functional would make the game easier? wotr needs more money sinks which don't impact combat efficacy, but doing so would still result in complaints based on our experience with many crpgs. wotr has considerable non-critical path content, a fact resulting in the completionist acquiring more money than a critical path player. is not a new problem and has no great solution. aside, using pathfinder makes the money problem worse as there needs be useful 1007 for every build. a living gm ain't gonna put sooper kamas or dwarven urgosh in a game in which no player has proficiency in such weapons. with all the possible builds and l00t required to make such builds viable, there obvious is gonna be a whole lotta gear which gets sold. but again, none o' this should be new or surprising. our first playthrough we hit level twenty in iz, after having done the ineluctable prison and a whole lotta act v content. sure, we spent more time at level twenty than any other level, but reaching level twenty as some kinda issue were nowhere near as extreme in 2021 as our more recent runs. have not done a real analysis, but am thinking azata current hits level twenty potential fastest 'cause the possible mythic adversary confronted so early almost guarantees a level-up, but all the mythics is a bit different. regardless, we assumed we did everything our first run and is not as if we hit level twenty early in act v. reminder: unlike those who inhabit crpg boards regular, many/most players are not hardcore completion junkies. am having no idea what level would be a player reaching who did only the wotr critical path. add in a few o' the companion quests and what level does such result? how much more difficult is the game if you need finish at level eighteen or maybe only hit level nineteen at threshold? less good gear. less levels. etc. HA! Good Fun! -

is good to recognize how when the game were first released, we had more than a few people on this board bemoaning the difficulty o' demon lord battles. just look at deskari's stats! am also gonna concede if you have no idea what is coming with baphomet, then the battle is a bit o' a shock and may require a couple reloads. etc. the owlcat boards, which is useless nowadays, were ugly with people complaining 'bout game difficulty, while other folks tried to convince the critics that wotr were so ez. groundhog day. particular with the dlcs, you now have access to better gear and likely an additional level compared to a september 2021 player facing baphomet or melazmera. is also a far better understanding o' builds and exploits which will trivialize later battles but not earlier ones simple 'cause there is so few exploits available to lower level players. the thing is, the exploits were not so well understood by most players back in 2021. just saying, is easy to forget late 2021 wotr and early 2023 is much different from a player pov. HA! Good Fun! -
given our particular frame o' mind, am thinking if we were hurl's wife we would throw the match while not making it look obvious. when we were a crumbsnatcher, we did quite a bit o' work on the ranch 'cause there were always work which needed be done. muck out stables were one o' our least favorite chores, but the mental list o' least favorites were voluminous. the typical kid our age were expected to do chores: cut the grass, shovel snow, clean dishes, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. heck, once we moved to chicago we had a paper route and chores, though no horse stalls so we saw as a major improvement in our quality o' life. nowadays? in 2023 we wouldn't be shocked if neighbors called child protective services on parents o' kids who were doing as Gromnir; child labour and all that. parents gotta be sly and clever in 2023 'cause am understanding cultural norms has changed a bit regarding chores. is probable a good thing for kids to enjoy their youth, so am kinda ambivalent. even so, prepare a couple meals every week don't strike us as particular onerous. have kids be enthusiastic to do what is functional chores? if mrs. hurlshot could take an L to maybe convince hurl's daughter to choose to do cooking, then am calling that a win. same competition and we would purposeful lose to the young person... without making look purposeful. aside for @Hurlshot: pineapple juice. eye of round looks a bit like chuck but is near the arse end o' the beast, so is a bit less tough than chuck or cross-rib, etc. nevertheless eye of round is less tender than sirloin or rib-eye or most any other steak cut not meant to be braised. furthermore, particular if you do shopping at a soopermarket, you may get stuck with sirloin which is not worth the money you paid. is an enzyme in pineapple juice which will tenderize even tougher (sh!tty) cuts o' meat. one hour in pineapple juice (and salt) is gonna significant improve what would otherwise be tough meat. won't make the meat taste like pineapple neither. pineapple juice is effective less 'cause it is acidic than 'cause o' the enzyme, but the acidity also helps. (edit: am not a fan o' marinades save for extreme thin cut meat. if you got time, then am always opting for what amounts to a brine.) am admitting am kinda surprised by the ffa participation. at least when we were young, 4h and ffa were making the raising o' an animal integral to the program. have you moved somewheres with more space? we s'pose raise a chicken or bunny is possible if you don't have acreage, but no doubt you and your daughter is aware the critter ain't being raised until you may find it a good home, yes? unless things has serious changed, raising an ffa bunny won't necessarily end with an old yeller scene, but you will be selling the critter to somebody who is not looking for a pet. HA! Good Fun!

no wakame? dashi is extreme simple. compared to chicken noodle soup, miso is ridiculous ez and it takes less than fifteen minutes to make a nice cup/bowl o' soup. what is requiring the most time is the dashi. bring a couple squares kombu (1 oz ?) in 2qt water to a good simmer and let simmer fiveish minutes. take your pot off heat and add 1oz katsuobushi. allow the kombu and katsuobushi to steep for ~five minutes. again, this step is done off heat. strain your dashi through a fine mesh strainer. done. serious, that's it. at this point, all you do for traditional miso is add your miso paste (whisk into your dashi with a fine mesh strainer 'cause you don't want clumps and bits o' paste in your soup) wakame and tofu... and perhaps garnish with the green onions. btw, we would also recommend at least firm tofu although soft or even silk is not gonna ruin the miso, but is gonna be a tendency for the tofu to disincorporate if is on the less firm end o' the spectrum. gonna admit for our miso soup we air fry our tofu and make it crispy for a bit more depth o' flavor. sue us. HA! Good Fun!

warning: axiomatic observation ahead truth is it is possible to solo wotr, but doing so requires exploitive nonsense and you already stated you were going for an rp experience, yes? there is an xp setting which benefits solo and smaller party players-- it is possible to set so only active party members gain xp, which works different than you might expect. you will indeed level a bit faster with a three-person party. small parties is viable even on more challenging difficulties but such a observation is perhaps misleading as the most common way to deal with difficulty is to add animal companions, which particular at lower levels is not gonna represent a real solution to your problem. a three player party with three animal companions is functional requiring you to control six different combatants at least until you are able to use the critters as mounts. wotr is a squad-based tactical combat game and it is notable heavy on the combat. so... edit: am suspecting toybox and similar mods has functional god-mode settings. HA! Good Fun! -
made a lent version o' red lentil and carrot soup we got the original recipe from nyt, (so they deserve credit) and then made small additions/changes. following is the original ingredient list. 3 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling 1 large onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced .............................................. 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 teaspoon ground cumin ¼ teaspoon kosher salt (such as Diamond Crystal), plus more to taste ¼ teaspoon black pepper Pinch of chili powder or ground cayenne, plus more to taste (late edit: we ordinary skip the chili powder and/or cayenne and instead add ¼-½ t cinnamon as well as 1 t hot paprika and ½t tumeric) 1 large carrot, peeled and diced ................................................. 1 quart chicken or vegetable broth 1 cup red lentils ............................................... Juice of ½ lemon, more to taste 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro assuming we have guests, we ordinarily double the recipe and add an extra carrot (three total... sometimes four) and for lent, to make a bit more o' a meal, we supplement with one o' those small cans o' full fat coconut milk; thai kitchen small cans is 5.5 oz here in the US. am also only adding an additional 2 C broth as 'posed to a quart, so 6 C total. furthermore, when you double, you do not need double the olive oil; go 4 T total. 'cause is original nyt we didn't post their full recipe, but soup has basic steps which is universal and represent where we created breaks: 1) sauté veggies in oil 'til translucent, though you may go a bit more robust if you wish; 2) add spices and and cook 'bout a minute or two until fragrant then add in paste and/our flour if you if you are using such and fully coat veggies; 2.5) for this recipe, am at the point where we add the carrot and so it is gonna require a 4-5 minutes to soften the tubers-- be careful with your heat; 3) add fluids (plus coconut milk) and lentils then simmer partial covered until lentils is soft, and then a bit longer 'cause truth is red lentils get soft extreme fast-- give it 30-45 minutes; 4) puree with either an immersion blender or by removing half soup to a real blender; 5) serve with lemon, cilantro and a bit o' drizzled olive oil. 'cause is a lentil soup it provides substantial protein sans any meat. the coconut milk makes the soup a bit more filling and perhaps a smidge luxurious. serve with crusty bread. the leftovers is ok in the fridge for a week, but as with most soup, it freezes exceptional well. HA! Good Fun!

wenduag is responsible for the military council convicts and bandits recommendation... witches and raiders later. am not a fan o' the spider mutant with the inexplicable accent, so those units is rare even an option for us. as for overlooked, gonna admit we didn't have any meaningful notion as to what were the point o' combat morale the first time we completed wotr. the combat morale scores for individual units were hidden until relative recent so boosting it effective were also a bit o' a shot in the dark. what you experienced is normal, but is likely not normal in the way you experienced. confused? since release, IF you shift alignment because o' mythics, then you do not lose current class ability powhaz and abilities o' alignment restricted classes. however, you would not be able to level up further in those classes. long time ago we mentioned on this board how a few builds taking monk or paladin level dips before eventual becoming azata were possible. as long as you chose those paladin or monk class levels before your third mythic level, then shifting to azata would result in a forced shift to neutral good and you would keep the monk and paladin abilities already acquired, but you would no longer be able to gain additional monk or paladin levels. however, ordinary alignment shifts not caused by a mythic path selection were s'posed punishing you as designed, with loss o' alignment restricted class abilities, but am admitting we never tested this and have seen no comment regarding the issue since late 2021. am suspecting with all the mythic alignment bugs and fails, something got busted along the way and chances are all alignment shifts is treated as if they were mythic shifts. if you are not yet level 20, chances are you need atone before your final level-up if you wanna stay paladin... though is a good excuse to take a final demonslayer level as the paladin cap stone ain't worth the effort. is at least a couple ways to speed up tb. is a slider for increasing animation speed. also, if you hit space while non party combatants is engaged in their action, they move at a yakety sax pace. btw, this encounter is best done as early as possible in act v 'cause assuming you did a dialogue correct in act i and you complete the act v encounter "right," it provides a crusade decree capable o' adding an additional master of maneuver level to all your generals. HA! Good Fun! -
those ain't tragic enough? well, we can take a shot. molly, after joining starfleet, eventual quits the federation and becomes involved with a group o' cardassian refugee/freedom fighters unironic modeled on the maquis. molly is pregnant with her cardassian lover's child when the federation ship kirayoshi is now serving 'pon encounters a food transport vessel molly's group has hijacked and 'course something goes horrible wrong. kirayoshi fails to successful transport molly off the freighter which blows up killing molly and her unborn child in the process. unfortunately, molly's lover, who had been rescued moments before the supply ship went nuclear, manages to disarm the incompetent starfleet security in the transporter room o' kirayoshi's ship and then goes on a rampage killing numerous starfleet personnel before turning the stolen phaser on herself. kirayoshi o'brien is one o' the victims. end of act 1. act 2 and 3 is even worse. (late edit: am thinking is no way molly's lover could die so ez. since is trek we need drag out ahab's metaphorical corpse once again and have miles hunt molly's lover 'cross the known and unknown galaxy, destroying himself and everybody around him in the process.) HA! Good Fun!

can't help but recall a line from the tv show wonderfalls. wound up penguin is the episode title. priest: i don't know what you're after here, but i don't do exorcisms. they're violent and dangerous and... stupid. ... almost twenty years since it aired? sheesh. am pretty sure we memorized the line correct, but it has been almost two decades and our elephantine memory is limited to visual as 'posed to auditory. HA! Good Fun!
