  1. My game has locked up twice at Habe's Sanatorium with two different characters. None of the UI elements worked, both times I had to close the app and restart it.
  2. My issue was resolved fantastically. They even added extra gold which I wasn't expecting. Didn't need to do that but it was nice.
  3. I just purchased this as well and am missing the 25 chests. I have 39 I've been saving for when all six AD are released, I still have only 39. Will email support.
  4. I hope they find a way to make this profitable. Personally I wouldn't mind if they just made it NOT free to play. Just maybe give away the basic intro 3 scenario one and maybe the 1st AD. Sell AD 2-6 as paid content. Forget the free to play stuff. I'd but all of them. S&S. WotR, and the upcoming Mummy's Mask. In fact. Let me pay like $99 for a lifetime subscription and as long as they keep plodding away for the next couple years I'd be happy.
  5. I'd advise you to quit this game, and forget it ever existed. Believe me, I **LOVED** this game before the latest patch. But it's clear that the game developers simply do not prioritize fixing bugs, or delivering promised content. Instead, they release garbage like a new UI that nobody asked for, and cosmetic garbage like dice skins. I've accepted that this isn't a story of a rag-tag team of indie developers just trying to find their stride before they really start delivering content & bugfixes. I've accepted that shoddy bug-laden releases and M.I.A. content are what we can expect in the future, because that's exactly what they've given us in the past. I'm perfectly happy to wait for a quality AD4 release. This game isn't the most important thing in my life, I don't need to go an immature, irrational tirade about the state of the game. I'll patently watch for the app update announcing AD4 and continue playing. I'll probably just start a new party and redo from B forward just to experience the new stuff that's been patched in.
  6. I still really like it, though I've shelved it to play other things until AD4 drops. I haven't given up and I'll continue to drop money for future Adventure Paths if they are able to move on to S&S, WotR or even MM.
  7. Can't say enough good things about AmiDuOS http://www.amiduos.com/ Using the Lollipop version, it's fantastic.
  8. Since the "Vault" is the analogue to the "Box" in the table top game, you add cards to the "box" for the AD you are currently playing. All previous AD cards also stay. The number of cards in the vault grows over time. There's also the ability to remove lower level boons and the strict rule of removing lower level banes when you encounter them when you get to AD3. It doesn't work quite like that in the digital version, but they do something similar to the "vault" as what gets done to the "box". The gallery is just that, your ability to look at all the cards outside of the rules of play.
  9. Try it out. It kind of emulates playing "closed hand" in the table-top version. Essentially where no one can see what cards you have. It's sometime beneficial in the table top version to stop certain types of people (you know who you are) from taking over the game and trying to tell everyone how to play and what cards to play.
  10. lol, wut? Seriously, I've had my account on BGG for over a decade. Have a shelf of RPG books. Played and spent money on online card games like Clash of the Dragons. I have a good friend with the physical version (but it is in German so we don't play). Single player video games that take more than 5 minutes at a time are probably my biggest hobby. And this game isn't for me? No that isn't it. The problem isn't the game, the mechanics, the platform, or anything else mechanical. The problem is their codebase, how sloppy it must be, and how having it that sloppy slows down content release. Setting aside the UI stuff and artwork the gameplay is very straight forward. Before you begin programming something like this you need to map out all the trigger points and objects very robustly. And since in this game when there is a conflict the active player decides which goes first you don't even need to program much conflict resolution. I have yet to see a single card that does anything fancier than modifying a die roll, moving cards from one pile to another, or preventing other card from being played. The two cards that modifies a result after the die is rolled is the fanciest thing in the game. All those functions should be mapped out and tight. Frankly at the time they left beta stage and opened to the public the code should have been at the stage where an adventure path could have been released every month, treasure cards mid month, and new quest combinations with preset locations/cards/adventures on weeks 2 & 4 (like a tournament game of bridge where the hands are already dealt and the same for everyone). This is mickey mouse stuff. If they want me to stick around they should have a weekly challenge a la Sentinels of the Multiverse. Bought the season pass? Good now you can play this preset adventure with all the variables set. That way you could see what Mersi would be like if you didn't choose Acrobat. THAT IS THE POWER OF THE PLATFORM. What we actually have is just a streamlined version of the card game. They could in fact ditch the treasure cards if they rolled out weekly challenges for the buyers, and that would be enough of a hook. Then the forums would be buzzing with discussion on how to beat a particular challenge instead of asking if I'll have to replace my iPad before the season pass runs out. When I have to ask why management is making bad decisions or accepts poor code I have to then ask myself why I should stick around. Which game have you developed from start to finish, I'd like to play it.
  11. The adventure paths are also released once a month in the physical game. They actually are pretty much games in and of themselves since they all have some interesting twist on the "corner the villian" formula. As you progress, different mechanics pop up. It's completely logical that those AP's are being developed along the way. Look. Don't blame them for this, they said up front the APs were going to be released over months of time. They were completely up front about it, and it mirrors nearly exactly how the physical board game that won numerous awards and has throngs of fans worldwide. Anyone who doesn't like not getting all their content at once could have just waited until AP6 dropped and bought everything then. The only thing missing in my eyes is online multi-player.
  12. I play on a 6P wihtout issue, though to be truthful I have not done it often and it's by far my least favorite way to play. I usually am just reading or listening to a podcast when I only have my phone.
  13. I'm sure, due to some of the special scenarios. There's actually some new development that goes along with these AD's as well. The physical game is on a monthly AD schedule as well. Not everyone likes the delay in the physical game as well, but I see no problem with it.
  14. I've got my chests standing by, I'm waiting for AD6 to drop before I rip them all open.
  15. That's generally how I go, but I do get a lot fails that way. In the gameplay video from Obsidian the Dev (I forget his name, sorry) said he just counts 2 for each die. This assumes an almost worst case scenario. If you can can beat or be close to the check with that you'll have a better chance without having to calculate the exact percentage. I've been using that guesstimate for the critical rolls and I haven't had a problem. That said, I may look at using anydice.com so I feel more confident. Yes, you will get a lot of fails that way. Almost 50%. Because that's the odds. And you need A LOT.. I mean A LOT of rolls for the failure/success rates to even become statistically significant. So .. expect randomness, even random strings of failures in a row.
  16. It's a pretty nice day here in NYC. A little on the warm side (I tend to like colder weather) but I'll take it. Maybe we'll get out for a walk today and tomorrow. Check out the farmers market. Was a odd long and tiring week, so I'm looking forward to a couple beers and getting further into Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. EDIT: all you guys hiking and running making me feel lazy.
  17. Not on CW, but DC related.. You NEEEED to see Preacher. Cassidy alone is worth it.
  18. Maybe when the PC version is released on Steam/GoG there will perhaps be an option to buy the soundtrack as a DLC. That would be pretty cool.
  19. I happen to agree with sending the low CHR chars to the village house. It's their best chance to get allies in this scenario. You don't want to be wasting blessings that could be used for explores helping those chars acquire allies. Waste your other cards instead.
  20. Ahh cool.. I just ran across defeating Barl by recharging the Amulet for Fortitude.. Glad I searched before I made a thread for that. I'm pretty sure the Fort 12 OR Combat 17 THEN Combat 21 is supposed to be (Fort 12 OR Combat 17) THEN Combat 21 NOT what it appears to be which is: Fort 12 OR (Combat 17 THEN Combat 21) That fight was way too easy, but I wasn't complaining, I got confused by the Hook Mountain Hag locking Arcane Attack spells bug for my Seoni in that run and Seoni got rocked because of it. Just desserts was Lini closing the Shirne to Lamashtu and Valeros amuleting Barl.. In all fairness I think Valeros would have easily taken him on that Combat 21 anyway, he had a decent weapon + multiple blessings were ready.
  21. Ahhh I see. I could have actually attempted to use that spell when I acted, and the check would have happened then. I think I was confusing what "before you act" meant. I think the cards being chained also led to the confusion. I think I found a Barl Breakbones bug that i'll make another post for.
