  2. Damn! Puppy Itumaak looks cute. Gona start reading this weekend. Still waiting for a novel though. Any Plans for that?
  3. OMG. Am i dreaming, is this reality? Few years ago i thought RPG genre was slowly dying, but now we have W3, PoE, Wasteland, Torment, and many more. And possible new Vampire game?! Someone pinch me, this just can't be real. Next station >>> Pirate Theme
  4. I want to know what Obsidian devs thinks of this news? I NEED Twittzzzz
  5. I'm sorry too excited to write, just gona copy paste my post from Paradox Forums. Lets Talk "OK PARADOX LISTEN ONLY TO ME NOW! I dont know all the deteils of your buisness relationship with Obsidian but you did worked with them in Pillers of Eternity which went well I guess. Troika's Bloodlines was a classic game and cult game. As all cult -things- this game wasnt that popular as should be but was a masterpiece. Now please dont try to make MMO, MOBA, etc... or other dying&no room genre. Stick to the last version of the game. Single Player Role Playing Game BUT Dont even think about touching the game just give It to the Obsidian. They can make this another Vampire the Masqurade: Bloodlines. I mean this game is still popular after 15 years with lowest sales. They can make this work. AND I dont have that problem with your buisness model and you guys also good at marketing. I mean you have able manage to sell -Non Simulation- Skylines with grand hype. This time you dont even have to try that much because all news sites is going to eat this for a month allready. IF Paradox do the right thing and able to manage a deal with Obsidian to make another RPG game. Oh man... O Paradox make It happen! P.S. TIM F*ing CAIN is at Obsidian. DO I have to say more??"
  6. You clearly don't understand how hideously expensive voice acting is. I don't know the actual numbers, but it wouldn't surprise me if the cost to 100% voice act PoE would have been enough to have doubled the size of the actual game without voice acting. As for allowing the core fan base to turn it off ... what would get turned off *IS* the core fan base!!! IMO, they'd be seriously ticked off that Obsidian wasted all those perfectly good resources on something as useless as voice acting, when they could have been used to add new content .... more areas, more NPC's, more spells, more whatever!!! So you are making a statement about something that you dont know about. Ok. Nice talk. Just because I don't know the actual numbers does NOT mean that I don't know what I'm talking about. You can go stuff your snotty retorts where the sun don't shine. Yea but why would I make the argument easy for you ? and also someone posted link already.
  7. Sure...It will be off topic...right but I would like to see you make that explanation in another topic, because you may change the definition of "casual rpg" the way that world knows as today. I've never heard another psychedelic idea since university. It will be nostalgia for me.
  8. You might wana get your head out of the bong, couse Origin Sin is not a casual game. ...also I hope we wont have to review Origin Sin, under this thread.
  9. Yes of course It must be expensive. But Its a budget choise issue. They didnt plan their budget to make full voice overs and I'm not saying that was wrong thing to do on their part. All I'm saying It could bring more sales when game is fully voice acted. There is a potential example: Fully voiceover (and with other lots of cool stuff) the enchanted edition of Origin Sin. If gamers still play old game and like their second run with It or new players who didnt bought the game at first, because of the, not full voice over and this time likes It even a complex game like Origin Sins or even a console player who is not that used to play not hand holding rpg, If these people becomes new potential buyers, this makes the market grow more by not changing the core elements of this beloved style, than It must be observed. As I said before we should wait and see.

  11. Yes It could be spent on elsewhere but also It could bring more revenue too. The core fan base could just turn It off and since new generation doesnt like to read It would be smooth change where doesnt hurt the core gameplay and add some sparks that new generation enjoy. But as I said before I donno about the descriptions. But they could be possible with lots of sound effects. and also I'm very curius about how will avarage rpg players and console players going to react, Enchanted Origin Sin. Because there are zero handholdings and quest & crafting are far more complex than Pillars that requires focus on dialoges and reading. If this is success, than Pillars must study what did they do correct but If It's not, then maybe VoiceOver doesnt bring that much fuel to new players to continue playing. I guess we will wait and see.
  12. Voice acting could be good but I dont know about heavily descriptions. With lots of sound effects, maybe like a radio theatre It could be done. I like reading too but I dont mind a full voiceover. For those who doesnt want to hear voices I belive they can just add a click button to turn It off. Everyone happy.
  13. 1. Stronghold is must be expanded and more involed in story. More management options collecting taxes or holding territories. MGSV base management is really fun. 2. There has to be Survival(bit more complex camping, random events) elements and Day&Night cycle has to be entegrated with the gameplay as; NPC routines, Beasts sleep time and ofcourse the most important thing: SNEAKING & theavery. 3. Party Relationship has to be a thing. Managing 5 other people (never mind 5 different race and gender) is must be a challange and must offer some gameplay elements in the game. PoE had 2 biggest flaw in my eyes. First the combat can be very frustrating with spells and combat going crazy and you dont know who is who (not to mention you cant see anything behind objects) and the second, Gameplay was very limited and I have to say before 2.0 combat was unbareable walking simulator. They should really focus on gameplay side two or maybe three times over this time.
  14. If you really having 4-5, 1-2 minutes of loading times, you should have posted this on technical section IF you want a solution about It.
  15. Also I have to say this. I'm really ashamed that we are disgussing 2.0 and new expansion under "So that was terrible..." topic name. Although this changes doesnt make amends with early ignored beta warnings (about a yer ago) It is still an efford (with immunes and all that) to bring the PoE combat to enjoyable state. ...but most of people continue talking here so I guess I have to, too. I wish OP to changing the title.
  16. About this "game is not easy enough thing" ... C'mon once the initial challange is over It should be easy after getting level 2& 3 party members. I never played on easy but I mean I wont even bother testing It playing on easy because you have to do everything wrong to be killed at easy on my book. or just write some cheats then; I dunno at this point If we seriusly going to discuss a player who cannot play this game on easy then wer f***ed. Let us play some more before asking for balance. There are more serius things to be fixed first. For me that blurry text and textures is my main problem right now.
  17. Firts of all. There shouldnt be talk of a consept; "round" in a real time combat. With that clear out of the way. I seriously dont have problem like that. Played 8+ hours (PoD diffuculty) last night and that situation you described happened really rare. Maybe your "tanks" are not intimidating as they suppose to be and AI just ignores and goes straight to you real "dps" party members. My situation is not like that at all. At least If Kana doesnt score some good crits AI wont even bother to break engagement. And some longshot tecnical answer. Maybe the other party members staying at hide (who are good at sneaking) and AI realesing them very late may f***up their logic at some point?
  18. Anyone else enjoying the new challenges? I started new, with path of the damned and I have to admit, for the first time I'm regularly checking The Bestiary and I'm loving It! Its somehow more challenging now but still only 5 hours sinked so far need to play with full party and have to play more but so far I'm enjoying the combat changes. Anyone have something to report?
  19. My guess that new people doesnt find this game very apealing is because of the lack of envorement, animations and cutscenes. You got to use some sparks and tricks to make them continue play your game at some point. There are nearly none idle animations... nwm that the animations part is just not there to begin with. That makes very selected few have cutscenes have little animations. Beside the gorgeous graphics & music, envoriment is feel empty. The lack of NPC's wondering around, Day/Night cycle without any use... The snowball effect of lacking standart features of todays rpg makes this game feels like a ghost town from 2000's game. Familiar people did continue play because of the nostalgia but even that has Its limits; now the lacking gameplay elements starting to show up like some strict rules or the enemy AI is not challenging enough... At least Devs didnt gave up on the game, slowly but steadly, continue to carve to find the potential gem hidden in this game. Which is good thing but I hope next time, devs could really listen and reconsider more IF they make fan beta for future games. Because It turns out that all of the conserning points were valid. I get you have to have one vision to make a game but that doesnt mean to ignore demands and todays standars to make isometric rpg.
  20. I thought only part 1 was going to be available for expansion backers. Am I wrong? or I hope I'm wrong because then we are in 5$ :S which sounds stupid.
