I hope AI uses more skills as the diffuculty rises. If thats only give them HP then there wont be that much fun. The reason I'm saying this because I saw the forums about enemy mages are not skillfull enough which is not good.

Apologies to Obsidian
ruzen replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
And dont forget this is Funded by US so expectations, discation, etc... ment to be. The one thing that I am gladd about is that; they didnt made turn based rpg. Sorry about those who funded Torment . Arcanum was my last epic game and since then me and eachofyou waiting for game like this. We should be glad that Its happened and come to finalize with heated passion. Because Pillars team must be happy about the forums that people contrubuting with passion (without any payment). None of you has to be sorry about anything because this was the Devs wanted: Feedback. On personal note I would like to see more new games with old gang, maybe Troika Games reopens? -

Poll: Should there be a penalty for being knocked out?
ruzen replied to Namutree's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
I accually liked the DA:O system where you get different wounds for getting down. Well. There is still expantion coming maybe... -
Looking back from now I though future rpg's could have pack mule, horses to carry items, suplies. Tying to entrence of a cave and luke in shadows. More depth, intresting challanges but developers think players having fun with unlimited power and easy way out. With improved CPU,GPU,ram, etc... all we have cool effects. The only challange is healt bar going zero. ...but for the sake of the argument I think PrimeJunta is right. Since we have unlimited inventory there is no need for items to drop really.

I guess more mystiries will be revealed after this saturdays presentation but after the last presentation the lack of hotkeys and non-dynamic toolbars is the most consern of mine. Not to mention stash sound effects. ...and about my previous post I stated that I wished Tim Cain would have taken the lead. Please dont misunderstood me. I wasnt trashing or bad mouthing Josh Sawyer (which is stupid thing to think) but It is my opinion or It's just what I would prefer. World doesnt need to be black or white.

Hit points and death
ruzen replied to Jigawatts's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
What I would like to have injury system every time someone falls and lost their endurance. -
I think Its only the balance issue to giving exp for completion of a Quest and I dont have problem with It. It will took much more efford to balance with combat exp in video games. Personly, I think fhinishing quest shouldnt give any experience but all other activities ( Combat, training, meditation, learing ( talking, study, etc..) , revealing... all activities even camping in the wilds or bargening should give exp. After a charecter sleeps or meditates he/she could level up. We can do that in FRP Its more flexiable but In video games It all comes to balance issue.

gotto agree with stash sound effect is really nail on a wood. Specially when looting multiple corpse. Its very loud and sudden. Hope It wont be at final version. About the murky look I think Obsidian tries a pastel look for art design perhaps thats why It looks that way. I dont think they look bad though. but Overall there are quite a few evidently bugs and glitches everywhere. Kinda worry about game relase day hope they hurry up

Crickets of Eternity

Ha ha that was ment to be -
Really cant decide. I'm in a pickle! and Its getting closer. GoG offers DRM free but the lack of support is real ( with patching and all) also I experienced gog spesific bugs when usings mods ( mainly because modders, mod for steam version ) Steam offers the best support but It comes with DRM So will members of forum offer their thoughts about this topic? I can't really decide.

The PE IE Mod Thread - Draggable UI Now Available!
ruzen replied to Sensuki's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
changing hero portraits vertical could be usefull aswell -
I read two arguments but there is one that must be heard of. Since most of us backed (founded) this project I think we could say some thing or two. Very few (Quest, NPC writers) of us has saying what goes on the game but I though the purpose of this backer beta is to cut from QA team and save for somewhere else. Obsidian making their own game with their vision and none major things have changed. For ex. The rules of engagement still stays the same. Obsidian is very lucky to have some dedicated members of communuty putting the efford to test for feedback. One personal note I backed this project because of Tim Cain. I think he made and participate in lots of bold RPG. I hoped to see his toughts aswell in this forum.

Boots of Speed!

Boots of Sonic would be more cool x) -
Don't worry they will do it like 95% of games today. Release and than continue patching and working on the game :D Personaly I really dont like early-acses consept because developpers never finalize the game but because of the love I have for this game I could give it a slide. I accually postponed my military service ( conscription) to play the game but I wont mind play It perfectly after...

Obsidian must appreciate the efford Sensuki putting into. I've been following his post and videos for a long time I have to admit I am kinda disapointed the result is coming out from dream team. I know It is beta so I am not trashing like that but I think PoE needs more time: really long time before going gold and I dont think a few months gona cut It. I dont know the budget issues perhaps going early-release will buy some time?
