I hear that. Yes, I think I'll rent it first, too. What platform is it?

:"> I just don't have anything better to do...and I hate school <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I loved school. What a bludge. I wish I could go back instead of working ... almost as much fun as university (what I remember of it ... " )

Aren't there faulty built golems " I like A Fighter\Paladin Built :"> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but this one seems in perfect working order. (Actually, I agree that Golems are too easy to beat in the OC. This one made meat patties out of my character, though!) Paladins don't normally run around with their helmet up their drawstring; tactical ploys quite often allow the LG to avoid harming innocent -- even if the Golem is an automaton, it may be performing a critical role, and just destroying it because it's in your way is not a very lawful thing to do.

A 6 foot rabbit known to all as Harvey Nah I don't care about the post count <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I must say I like the six foot rabbit. Very cool. You don't care about the post count? Then why on god's earth are you posting an average of a post every ten minutes over a period of three days? I spent less time completing Half-Life 2, ferkrissakes!

So you don't circumvent all the role-playing with a munchkin.

Yeah, I saw the trailer on the special edition extra special extra stuff special DVD gift box set of the special OT series DVDs plus extras extra DVD and it looked pretty good, but then again they are hardly going to edit together a bad animation sequence. :D Still, it does look promising.
-
Yes, have you heard of "Edit"? Geez, that would really rot your socks if they took away the post counter...! OT: Who is Hades moonlighting as now? No. Why, is it any good?

Baley, calm down! It's life Jim, but not as we know it! It's worse than that -- he's dead, Jim .... She canna take it, Cap'n! You are going to blow a gasket, or somethin'!

1. I did the cave, then straight to the Chateau ... didn't touch the graveyard as you said the statue (needed to enter the chateau) was inside. 2. Will do. (And I'll try to only post enough to get Baley's pavlovian juices flowing ... ) 3.Actually, surprisingly few typos: mainly transpositional, so no lost meaning (just comedy value). There are a couple of quests that seem to end, and not every event has a journal entry, but otherwise it is pretty sound. (More details in my brief.) 4. I guessed a few of the answers first time (probably get the answers by doing side quests, but I didn't do any and they didn't seem to difficult to guess, but then again I do like Games Theory and trying to break the system ... ) I started with a level 8 Paladin (+1 equipment max) and got pounded by the Golem in 1-3 rounds, before trying negotiating skills. (The Slaads are near impossible owing to their regeneration.) I will say also that the secret doors are very difficult to find (even when I know they're there). " Edit: Accepted invite, posted first topic.

Hang on a minute, you hated MW, yet you played both expansions? Baley, I think you need to step away from the computer, put the mouse down, and go outside and breath some air .... yes, that funny thing that is exerting force on your face -- that's air! It's good for you. Breath deeply. Now try not to think of the box inside ... don't let it take your attention ... go and run around the park or something. Man, you are really addicted to virtual reality!

The Golem is too hard to beat, unless you are a munchkin ... or you are clever enough to pass the test!
-
That would require actually playing Morrowind though. I think thats against my religion or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got so bored (I did give it a fair go, over about a day's worth of time) that I eventually cheated (money only) and bought the best equipment and went into the centre ... boy, that was dullsville, too. Madness. I wonder if the expansions are any better ....

... controversial ...

The mod is very impressive. ... And it has a few typos. :D

Metadigital is ready for invite.

Um, not sure what I need to do .. I have a registered copy, and I am registered at NWN site ... is that what you mean? I'm through to level 3 of the Chateau ... I'll send my comments to you directly (unless you have a better plan ...?)
-
That is a reasonable assumption to make, as it appears to be how the engine works. Man this system is creaking. I'm off to QA volourn's new NwN mod ...

Have you noticed (at the time of writing) this thread is still accessible from the KotOR 2 General Discussion board? Is there some initiative to cross polenate the boards?
-
Yeah, IKWYM, I really wanted to like MW, I did. I liked the character creation, I liked the concept. I just drowned in boredom trying to play it.
-
Sure, I was harking back to AD&D when you would select languages for your character to learn, the amount was proportional to the INT. So a wizard spell written in Elvish would be unintelligible to someone who only knew gnomish, for instance. Still, I guess this is kinda covered with lore and spellcraft ...

Spending 8 hours collecting mushrooms while you walk agonisingly slowly around the map is kinda annoying. I get what they're trying to do, but I lost interest after a while. I play games to escape dull bits of life and drudgery. Sure, I don't expect to teleport into an end boss and kill him with a munchkin PC, but still, I don't really see the point in teaching me patience by having me do some repetitive cycle of boring things for dozens of hours so that I can talk to someone who tells me to do more cycles of the same to be able to talk to the next dude who ... you get the idea.
-
... and read them [iNT] ...

Why would you play male? Swear an oath to your church, not join a guild! (As long as they have nifty shields and armour after you add in the hak pak, I'll be happy. ... " ) Also I really liked the fact that Paladins had to pay a tithe to level up.

Gaaah, I'm not talking about any damn TES game! I wan't to be able to meet Brutus, kill Julius, and free Russell Crowe! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dear god what are you talking about! Free Russell Crowe? Feed him to the crabs, more likely. Have you tried Rome: Total War? It may not be a strict RPG, but it makes a lot of RPGs look like story books by comparison.
