  1. The Third Man is a great film. Harry Lime: Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. ...
  2. When do we get to invade Poland?
  3. Sounds like Tetris, without the skill or the cool soundtrack.
  4. Although it looks a fast ship (You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?), there is no benefit for multitasking in games, yet.
  5. So you didn't build it / bribe someone to name it after you / steal it?
  6. They made eight hours of Knight Rider? Very optimistic.
  7. Nobody expects the spanish inquisition! Poland and Spain concern me on that map. Poland's neighbours have four centres each, and three-centre poland is sandwiched between the two, butting it at an unfair advantage at my first glance. Three centre Spain has a corner position, but that Fleet in Gibraltar limits its ability to expand greatly, as it will porbably only be possible to get one of the local neutrals. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe the answer is to play it with Spain and Poland neutral territories?
  8. Might as well try and write down next week's winning lottery numbers. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not who I should trust, but who I actually trust, mistakenly or not ... "
  9. It's porbably not a good idea (don't want to step on your toes, Archie) to broadcast that: I ususally reply to each set of orders, so that the players are au fait with the state of their orders.
  10. You can be excummunicated for divulging the gnosis to those outside the circle ... Back on-topic: I think there is a ready-made feat list for the TOMBS game: http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/ (Thanks :alanschu:)
  11. Vader: Get out of my bathroom!
  12. Unfortunately, yes - Obsidian mentioned the problem of it being too easy in that magazine article. Always start with Sentinel - who needs Force Jump when you can have all those lovely skill points and dialogue options. Then proceed to either Weapons Master or Jedi Master, depending on whether you want to fight with sabers or force powers, but as was said, even if you choose Weapons Master you'll still end up with enough powers and FP to Force Wave everyone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Playing through without a presitge class (well, not much of one): I was a Consular. Although it is more difficult to do the early stages of the game (not as many options for solving issues, because you don't have the Sentinels' skills nor the Guardians' raw combat ability), it becomes ludicrously easy to just blow opponents away with Force Power. Still, I'll all for delayed gratification: I eat my icing last.
  13. Horrible junk spam links infest that picture. She looks like a fun date, though.
  14. Yeah, the developers took a vote, and English lost. Sorry.
  15. You mean my inventory system, surely. Where there are raw componenets that the PC combines into upgrades for items (armour, weapons, etc). Much better idea. Especially if T3 / equivalent is along with his handy-dandy workbench for breaking down / creating items and upgrading. That's what you meant to say. "
  16. Hmm. I liked the Taris level, but I did enjoy playing as a FS, too. I guess it depends if you get really cool items to play with, and if the combat system is fixed (so that lobbing grenades don't have a 100% hit rate, for example).
  17. Ender, never pay attention to your tastes.
  18. Ciccadas have a seven year hibernation cycle, only emerging in the last year to mate. Chinese mythology holds them to be very lucky (Mulan q.v.).
  19. The Red Hair (recessive) gene is expected to become extinct soon.
  20. Sorry, I'm not 100% clear on what the issue is. Are you trying to translate the word "comment" into another language? You can specify the language of any and every XHTML element, e.g.: <p xml:lang="fr" lang="fr"> Or is the javscript code not correctly managing the number of the noun?
  21. ... Cons: Implausibly large urethra. ... Pros: Secret **** in logo of household name shame. ...
  22. Yeah, I know it might. It also might unglue everything, the Registry is just a flat file and is not very robust, and I have seen people waste weeks re-installing Windows multiple times. I have an idea: install a Linux flavour on a partition. That way, you can access the data on the Windows drives and get it all off, then you will be freer to perform major surgery on the drive. PS I still think something is overheating, either the CPU or the GPU.
  23. Very droll, sir. I am not sure if the team members would appreciate your humour at their expense. (Who won, anyway? )
