  1. The Chinese traditionally start counting the babies age from one (after all it's been growing for about nine months, so add to that the urge, the twinkle in daddy's eye ...)
  2. But quoting Japanese geeks as mainstream is perhaps a little disingenuous ...
  3. I know someone who might be interested in letting you have their brand-new nVidia 6800GT ...
  4. What would be the difference between Alderaan and Coruscant, in the KotOR age? Would these worlds even be technologically and socially advanced? Who cares, anyway? Just have an environment that is rich and deep.
  5. Nice try. I was referring to your assessment of Kreia, not Mission.
  6. I had loads of problems with the movies in K2, more than K1. I found that I could watch them in bulk, but not in situ (i.e. as part of the game), so I turned them off until I had access to a few, then I watched them. I have an ATi Fire GL Mobility (which is equivalent to a 9700 or 9800, I think) with 128MB VRAM and DirectX 9.0c. I haven't play with 5.8 yet. (Not sure if I played with 5.7, even.)
  7. What's the difference between a mine and a grenade? The momentum?
  8. It's better than Vogon poetry.
  9. I don't remember donkeys in the EU! Where's the canon police when you want them?
  10. Well, it's Eric, the half-a-Jedi ...
  11. No, I think your one-dimensional assessment, based on your interpretation of a cartoon image's age, counters all the other evidence! You've made me a believer!
  12. I've seen women in England with bags under their eyes worse than Kreia's, and they are in the early twenties. Your assessment is off. I see. I didn't realise I was talking to a Twi'Lek anthropologist and movements specialist.
  13. How do you get her age at 70? I tell you what, she certainly fights well for a septuagenarian! Why couldn't she be fifty? Or even forty, with a lot of Dark Side disfigurement? And there is a woman who has given birth in her sixties, too.
  14. Didn't you play the mage? Oh, man! Did you miss out!
  15. People eat chimps ... (why do you think so many are ninjas, now?)
  16. They might have decided to call it Leningrad ... ... except he is still a boy ...
  17. Where are the torches? And the chains? :alanshu:, you get the crowd, I'll find the map ...
  18. Exactly. Telos was better than Dantooine. And Korriban. So was Peragus. The only other planet that even slightly impressed was Onderon / Dxun, and that was because there was a more-than-one-dimenstional-plot together with multiple areas to explore (much the way that Kashyyyk had multiple areas). Really, what is the point in having a dozen planets with an acre or two of land? Just as Telos demonstrated, you can have extreme climate / different landscapes on the same planet (obviously), so I just think it is yet another example of style over substance. I wouldn't be surprised if OE originally were going to make the game as rich and textured everywhere, as they did in Onderon / Dxun. Trouble is, if your aunt had wheels, she'd be a wagon. IF doesn't cut it, and so the result is a mastabatorial exercise.
  19. Everyone's a critic.
  20. Yeah! Get 'im, Baley!
  21. Maybe it's a new Object d'Armore ?
  22. I think it's hilarious.
  23. It's gotta be better having Handmaiden rather than Mical.
