  1. You have posted several mutually-inclusive, yet closed, questions. My timezone has nothing to do with my posting habits. In fact, despite moving around the antipodes of the globe, I seem to have settled into a predominantly nocturnal posting pattern, which matches my previous sleep cycles, but not my timezones. I have been known to post constantly for days. And then not appear for months. (") :D
  2. My life is not a book. PPS Whooosh!
  3. Ooh... Mr. Metadigital! Long time no see <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Launchie! Nice to read you; hope you and yours are well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What are you suggesting: Launchie have you been force-feeding Baley?
  4. My life is not a book; you can't just open a page and jump right in ... I'm back, baby! (w00t)
  5. Why does your avatar remind me of Right Said Fred? And does it have anything to do with your prediliction for derrieres ... "
  6. Whoooosh! No-one got my quote. who's that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who the hell are you? j/k Prayers, well wishes, all the same thing, Eldar, donchaknow.
  7. Spot on. Britain is very familiar with fascist loonies that are happy to decree fatwa (فتوى) on an author (thought the book-burning antics of fundamentalists ended with the Nazis?). When the extremists (who I would even say aren't even Muslim, they are just adopting whatever vector they can use to spread their own version of self-promoting anarchy) start to kill random innocent people, just because they happen to look remotely Nordic ... My observations: [*]There is a universe of difference between discriminating against someone because of their race vis-
  8. Okay soldier, let's not bawl our eyes out.
  9. If I'm not around to whip you characters into line, then the thread turns into Transformerspam! Right. Let's try to resuscitate the game ... if anyone is still interested?
  10. My last NwN character had green hair (though not as bright as "bright"), and I played many games without un-installing the character, module or game. So, worry not! Using my sample space of one, I can confidently assure you that there is zero probability of the undesired action taking place. By the way, this is a silly poll. Not least because I am more interested in the colour of eyes (the windows of the soul and the only bit of brain visible without opening the skull) than the light frequency spectrum least absorbed by the keratinized filaments sprouting from the crown's epidermis.
  11. And then we bailed them out of two World Wars. Debt repaid, I think. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... because the Nazis wouldn't have bothered the US after they controlled Europe ... But most historians agree we were the deciding factor. Or at least, a shortening factor. The war had been for the most part a stalemate until our intervention. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was touch-and-go as to which side the US would support origianlly: it was only when the Second Reich's attempt to convince the Mexicans to invade the US was discovered that the Germans upgraded their attacks on the US merchant fleet and the US got angry ... nothing to do with helping the French, at all: that was completely accidental. Technically, the British declared war against the Germans for invading neutral Belgium ...
  12. You have a real name? Yeah, blue and green. I think it's turkish angora, one of the few breeds who are furry and are odd-eyed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the breed that likes swimming to catch fish (in the wild), isn't it? Eh... well, I didn't think I'd attract that many actual stalkers, seeing the closest person to me is apparently about 2-3 hours drive away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't misunderestimate Baley ... Which is a tactful way of saying tactless ...
  13. I smell a hoax ... my cats weigh about 6kg, and they aren't anywhere near that size ...
  14. I was actually linking the film because Lisa Bonet plays a character called Epiphany, but reading comprehension doesn't seem to be required for these fora ...
  15. You were a horrible (I take it this means incorrigible) fan ... I would never believe it!
  16. It's old and doesn't look appealing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoooooooosh! If you have never seen it, then you should. Good film. Back when Robert Deniro acted in films, rather than produced them and 'phoned his lines in ...
  17. OMFG you bastard! Must resist downloading until after Friday! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jimmy's eyes would be starting to bleed, right about now, from lack of blinking ...
  18. I was actually picturing yours as kayaks or canoes. Not quite the introvert anymore? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Introverts do not have to sail alone, y'know; just have a good relationship with someone ...
  19. Hilde, most of your responses indicate I may not have been totally fair in condemning you for your attack on Bush (although I don't see ANY evidence for your wild conspiracy theory). However, there are a couple of points I'd like to pick up on, such as: I don't know why you think propaganda has to be blatant; Philby spied for the Soviet Union and reached the top of British Intelligence at the height of the cold war, after all, and did far more damage than a single West German border guard. They bombed the Chinese Embassy in the Balkans, too: was that some sort of pay-back? I've got news for you, nearly EVERYONE in the US doesn't give a tinker's cuss for what some arabic news network says, let alone hears what that happens to be. The only people who need to worry about al Jazeera (if it is just a journalist institution trying to bring truth to the Middel East) are the undemocratic governments of the Middle East. The US interest begins and ends with commerce, and the non-OPEC nations produce almost as much as OPEC, now. Just a quick note here: Bush may be a lot of things, but first and foremost he is a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. To suggest that he personally sanctioned torture is ludicrous. As it's beyond the grasp of everybody outside the oval office. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Precisely. I noticed you cut my comment about if Bush wanted al Jazeera removed, it wouldn't be around anymore. Even if he did say it; heck, even if he asked for a contingency plan to be drawn up, if he didn't execute the command than all he's doing is daydreaming, not making war. Ah. Well, I did try: several tranlators on the internet and my two latin dictionaries had no idea what "facturus" was. Why are you quoting archaic latin, if you KNEW nobody would get it? Of course, several pages later, he ADMITS that he has no evidence to support this. So one wonders why he even bothered to spout such BS in the first place. Perhaps he actually thought there wouldn't be anyone here to dispute such shameless propaganda BS. But the fact that he dares criticize others for doing the exact same thing that he did before anyone else is what stands out for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was repeating a comment I heard on one of the many current affairs programmes I catch regularly (from that biased BBC ). No great Pentagon leak, there. The clue was that I refrained from stating facts, but rather framed my comment as editorial remark, for debate. You seem to be very keen to dismiss it, yet I have seen no evidence from you to disprove it (and some pretty shaky statistics, to boot, like the "3 newspapers").
  20. Oscar. Mike. Golf. *Not* canon again.
