  1. I know it was high on the wish-list for NwN 2, but that doesn't preclude Bethesda from doing the same with Morrowind mods for Oblivion, hence my question. Which remains unanswered: just smothered in speculation ... "
  2. I couldn't agree more. That is taking gaming to another (the next? hopefully) level. This presents the major challenge for the industry, and it's a chicken-and-egg scenario. Whilst WoW et atlia are commercially successful, there is little incentive for this gaming style to spontaneously evolve. I am tempted to check out EVE Online because it has such a different mechanic. I think, though, the main stumbling block is the juvenile community ... maybe a community like this one at Obsidian might make a MMO game, perhaps even a MMORPG, work?
  3. It's a Conservative conspiracy to indoctrinate the populace with biblical miscellanea, allowing for a trigger phrase to launch them as mindless drones in their Christian Soldier Salvation Army!

  5. I have taken the liberty of changing the title of this topic, from the generic ("Hello guys") to the more topical: "SEGA and Obsidian, clues?". Hearty welcome to the community. Anyone who plays Rome: Total War and JRPGs will fit in well, here.
  6. Monty Python: Finland Finland, Finland, Finland, The country where I want to be, Pony trekking or camping, Or just watching TV. Finland, Finland, Finland. It's the country for me. You're so near to Russia, So far from Japan, Quite a long way from Cairo, Lots of miles from Vietnam. Finland, Finland, Finland, The country where I want to be, Eating breakfast or dinner, Or snack lunch in the hall. Finland, Finland, Finland. Finland has it all. You're so sadly neglected And often ignored, A poor second to Belgium, When going abroad. Finland, Finland, Finland, The country where I quite want to be, Your mountains so lofty, Your treetops so tall. Finland, Finland, Finland. Finland has it all. 7. Rockclimbing is great fun, too.
  8. More likely Spanish and English will hybridize, and Chinese will overtake us all ... English's pre-eminence is due to: English being used on most of teH internetz (over half of the infrastructure is US) Enlgish being used (currently) as the language of science speakers of English as a second language (especially the 300 million Madarin speakers) outnumbering native speakers English cannibalizes from other tongues any inadequacy it has, and does this as well or better than any other language. Any of these can change. English might then end up like Latin, with local dialectal derivatives of it surviving in isolation, were it not for the internet. Even if this process is inevitable, and the internet merely slows it down, "classic English" is here for the foreseeable future.
  9. Firstly, my mistake to claim it took you 10 minutes to complete 79% of the test, it was very late and I had finished both tests. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Secondly, let's get this straight: It took you 3 Minutes to complete 79%, but you didn't complete it because "it wasn't fun"? So in the time it took to write one of your posts, "anyone" (according to your claim) would have finished the entire test. Is that your final excuse, or do you want some more time to think up another one? This is where your line of reasoning fails, yet again. Where did I say it was "beneath me?" I said it wasn't fun, so I stopped. You know, kind of like why you would quit playing a game if it wasn't fun. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you implied it. Lots of specious reasoning to cloud the issue <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I ask again, as you danced around it: if it would have taken you another 45 seconds to complete to test, why didn't you do so? Or were you saying that it would take you another seven minutes to obtain the last seven questions, if you used the wikipedia/google ? In your hurry to denigrate the test and cast aspersions against those who took it, you weren't very clear. But don't worry, you've convinced me!
  10. No, I mean someone called "Nobody" sends me reimnders from tADS ... :D
  11. I dunno, because it would be a great idea and because the mods from NwN can be transfered to NwN 2 with minimal effort?
  12. Well, let me explain it to you step by step, shall I? Okay, I'm glad you asked. First you tried to make out that the test was worthless, because (see the yellow highlight to follow) "all of these can be found in 10 minutes on google or wikipedia". Then (see orange highlight, below) you implied that, as you managed to (one presumes "google and wikipedia") 26 of the 33 questions in "ten minutes", the remaining seven answers would only take just over two-and-a-half minutes. Which is falacious, otherwise you would have spent the two-and-a-half minutes and completed 33 out of 33. Then, you tried to pretend that it was such a poor test, that it was beneath you. So you didn't spend two-and-a-half minutes to finish the test because you suddenly, after ten minutes and 79% of the way through the test, decided that it "wasn't fun", and reiterated that it was "easy to complete" (see yellow highlight, below). So, if it was so easy to complete, why didn't you complete it? The only LOGICAL answer is that you COULDN'T. Unless you would like to prove me wrong, by completing it. Logically.

  14. Nobody sends me reminders from tADS ...
  15. I wouldn't comment if you didn't try to pass yourself off as something special, at the expense of others.
  16. I hate the accents. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lmao, thats just a steriotype, we dont have bad accents like country hicks, well atleast our accents are better then yanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, the broad nasal accent of the worst of the Australians is appalling. Worse than a Kiwi accent. Almost.
  17. If it's so easy, why didn't you finish it before you "got tired of it"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Logic not your strong point? In order to continue something, it must be amusing. This test was not amusing. Therefore, I did not want to continue it. Aside from the fact that I didn't say it was easy. Ease of completion != compelling to complete. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Logic doesn't seem to be yours ... "

  23. They don't keep the models going indefinitely; if you are planning to SLI in the future don't buy a card that has been out for a while, expecting to buy another in six months or so. It won't be available.
