  1. The general would not be pleased.
  2. Yet when I saw a picture of your desk, I also happened to notice the Sold-Out version of Deus Ex! I am.. shocked. SHAME ON YOU, META! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, that was the first game I bought when I decided to start playing games again (after a hiatus of many years). If I could, I'd go back in time and play it earlier. And I would gladly buy the original now, if it were possible. Brilliant game.
  3. Not sure anyone is guilty of not giving answers in good faith ... ... BUT, what about Dirty Harry?
  4. So where do you put stuff released by Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner? Under "S" or "P" ...
  5. They were all Eldar's alts ... "
  6. Water cooling ONLY makes sense when it is used for the entire system: countless examples of single unit (i.e. the GPU) water-cooled to less than what a good fan (like Gigabyte G-Power Cooler Pro or Sharkoon) can do.
  7. Intel C2D draw a lot less power than the top-end AMDs, too ... so if you pay for your electricity you might want to factor that in ... though 270W for a X1950XTX is ludicrous, as well. These figures quoted from this month's PC Format: Processor [*]Core 2 Duo
  8. I don't know if there really is or not. I'm just guessing at why SS2 has remained fresher longer than DX. Each time I play a game of SS2, I think I'm going to be bored, but then I get sucked right in. The last couple times I played DX I couldn't make it past the first visit to Hell's Kitchen. Maybe its due to the huge amount of dialogue in DX that I've already heard a thousand times? SS2 doesn't have that and is more of a viseral experience, whereas Deus Ex is more of an intellectual experience? I don't know really. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm just replaying deus ex now, and I have just about finished Hell's Kitchen (haven't play for over a week); it's a HUGE level: the last time I played it I did it completely differently, and this time I am finding it much deeper (last time I just tried to get through this level because) the next levels are much, much better, and tend to get better incrementally.
  9. Why not try chronological, like each decade or year in a different stack.
  10. So are you advocating the Muslim justice system instead? Perhaps honor payments, as well? The whole point of removing people's liberty (and nothing more) is to show that we have a free society to live in.
  11. I've played Deus Ex about half-a-dzoen times all the way through. I have played System Shock 2 for many, many hours, though. I nearly started a new game (but I wasn't sure what to do, after a Psi).
  12. Games that I will buy, regardless, I will gladly get loyalty discounted prices on other purchases for having the game arrive in my mailbox before the due release date ...
  13. I pre-order all the time. I never impulse buy (in a store), I plan my purchases to avoid buying CRAP. If I pre-order I get bonus loyalty points that translates into extra savings off the cost of future purchases. I do sometimes purchase in the first week: Oblivion, for example, because it wasn't clear that it was going to be as good as it turned out to be. I will probably pre-order Medieval II: Total War Collectors Edition, because I just read a kick-arse preview about it ... I'm sure the publishers use some sort of rule of thumb heuristic like "double the first four weeks' sales" to get an approximate total return on the game (which would be completely surpassed by a brilliant game, obviously).
  14. No. Look at the log. Do the characters attack each other regularly, with each one taking a turn? Yes. Turn-based.
  15. My first (and only) game was with a Psi.
  16. But ... Baley is a hero, despite his hircine predilictions ... oh, wait, that wasn't Baley you were talking about ... and his goatse "
  17. Go on! Start a new thread at Bioware! :D
  18. *waits until all the whiners start a topic at Bioware to eat humble pie*
  19. Someone from Atari might know what's happening. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now why don't the Atari peoples post here, I wonder? "
