The important thing to take away from this is that they are spending time to update the graphics; they aren't using the Half-Life 2 zombies (or zombine!), they are re-creating from scratch their own renders; including new scientists (and VO). The "additional" stuff sounds very minor: That's a pretty encouraging level of commitment and detail.

My friend just bought an XBox 360 (for the kids! ) and was exstatic to play some of the old arcade games, like Scramble, which is a "newly enhanced version of the arcade classic." 'Round the S-bend? As for backwards compatibility, I imagine there will need to be a toggle that turns off advanced features for the earlier hardware ... whether this means some games will not work on the earlier hardware release, or games will not be able to take full advantage if the newer hardware is difficult to predict ...

The OE boards' function isn't to further freedom of speech, bring down old taboos, or make the world a better place overall.
