With the recent change to the minimum requirements, I'm wondering if Windows XP isn't supported at all, or simply not officially supported. Is anyone here running the beta on XP?

Yeah I saw noticed the new requirements on the Steam page. Now I don't meet the minimum anymore, this is a huge letdown. Why is Windows Vista the new minimum OS? And why the huge leap from a Pentium 4 to a i3 for the minimum CPU? I've been looking forward to this for years and now I find out I can't run the game. I'm just devastated.

This is good news thank you! Yeah the only other Unity game I've played was Shadowrun Returns. It ran fine, but I suspect PoE will be much more intense.

I know Obsidian said PoE would be designed with older hardware in mind, which my music to my ears since my machine is close to decade old now. I noticed the requirements on the Steam page for PoE and saw we need 4GB of RAM. I meet all the other requirements, but as an XP user do not have access to 4GB of RAM. Is this requirement set in stone? Will the game run if I only have 3GB? Really looking forward to this, I just hope I can run it.

How has development been without being able to use middleware programs? Do you guys really wish you could afford Havok and Speedtree, or you have you been able to get by just fine without them?

I believe JE Sawyer said that Eternity will be aiming for the same amount of endings as New Vegas, or even more. RE: Alpha Protocol, I don't recall their being multiple endings. I think it just boiled down to join Halbech or take it down. ... Man I really want an Alpha Protocol sequel.

Of all the content in PE, this dungeon is what I'm looking forward to the most.

I don't think a game like Skyrim would work with an isometric viewpoint. A lot of Skyrim's charm (for myself) comes from exploration. Exploring a world from an isometric viewpoint really isn't as thrilling as doing it in first/third person. There's only so much detail you can put in a world at an isometric viewpoint.

Apologies if this has been asked recently, I didn't see a search function on these forums. But is Chris Avellone not doing the Arcanum playthrough anymore? I think the last update to that was in the summer or something. Does the recent YouTube policy on posting video game videos mean we're not going to see it at all? Any news on this would be appreciated. It was enjoyable watching Avellone deal with the same problems I had when I played the game.
