Exact same issue here. The Dragon does the purple beam attack, Maia's HP is reduced to 0 but does not die, or take any more damage. I finished the DLC and got back onboard my ship, swapped her out and then back into my party, still had the issue. Even after reloading and all that jazz, she's still stuck in a zombie state.

Persistent combat text

Also having this issue, hope it gets fixed. -
I know this is about the ancient Black Isle days, but I've always wanted to know. I've asked Sawyer twice on twitter/tumblr but never received an answer. I know Black Isle was in deep trouble during IWD2 development, but I've always wanted to know if there was a plan for an expansion, or if everyone was already on their way out by then.

I know I wasn't the only one who had this reaction when they heard the news https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=k70xBg8en-4#t=271 Wish you the best Avellone. I don't think Obsidian will be the same without you.

Is official 32-bit support/fixes still being worked on, or is it not going to happen?

Was doing some youtube surfing today and stumbled across the old Avellone Arcanum Let's Plays from 2013. I took tremendous joy in watching him suffer through Arcanum's UI and combat. Any news as to whether he'll finish a full playthrough now that PoE has been released? OR IS OBSIDIAN OKAY WITH EMPLOYING A WELCHER?

Full Making of Documentary is Now Live!

Finally finished it. Made me so happy to see the hard work of Obsidian pay off. I hope PoE was a huge financial success for you guys. I still can't believe how close Obsidian was to shutting down. Was this cancelled console game the infamous Aliens RPG? Or something else? Regardless, I enjoyed the documentary. -

Sawyer on vacation?

Shazam! This thread really blew up! Anyway he's posting on twitter again. EVERYTHING IS OK! THE DIRECTOR HAS BEEN FOUND! RESUME PRODUCTION! -
Not trying to be a creepy stalker, but I've been following Mr. Sawyer's twitter feed for about half a year now. I noticed he hasn't posted anything in about a month. I see Avellone and Adler are still active, so I'm kinda curious what PoE's captain is up to. DID THE WENDERSNAVEN GET HIM?

32bit user still having crashes with area transitions
MotelOK replied to MotelOK's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I'm bookmarking these links in case Obsidian doesn't patch it on their end. While I do really want to play PoE, the risks of modifying my OS this much really concern me. I do greatly appreciate you trying to help though. Thanks a lot man. -
32bit user still having crashes with area transitions
MotelOK replied to MotelOK's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I saw these instructions previously when the 32bit crash was found. I have no pursued trying this because the link specifically mentions Windows 7/8, while I'm still using Windows XP. Can either of you confirm that the instructions provided in the link will work for Windows XP? I really can't afford to replace my computer if I do something that causes it all to go nuclear trying this, so I'm really worried about trying this out. -

Of course https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nzsl2sgix3hljyg/AABPWc9H6oOgbLw36AtvJU_ja?dl=0 This contains the output log found in the pillarsofeternitydata folder, the most recent crash report, save games, and my dxdiag information. I appreciate you guys working to correct the issue. -

I can sympathize with wanting to address serious issues, but since Feargus is a businessman I can't understand why he would want to take on the huge risk discussing these issues. What's the payoff? You're far more likely to trigger one of the moon people on twitter and bring bad publicity to your product than you are to win an award for your content. I wouldn't risk it, but I don't own a company like Mr. Urquhart. Just can't understand it.

32bit user still having crashes with area transitions
MotelOK posted a question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I downloaded the beta patch after I saw the 32bit issue was addressed. But my game still crashes when transitioning from Valewood to the Gilded Vale. I tried alt tabbing and giving Pillars a higher memory priority, but still no luck. If we (32bit users) can launch the game and get through a few areas without much issue, surely that means this issue is fixable right? Anyway I really appreciate Obsidian working on this, just wanted to relay my feedback on the beta patch. -
Optimized how scene transitions are handled for better memory usage on 32-bit machines. This may allow players to transition to new areas without running out of memory. God I love you guys at Obsidian so much. Thank you for fixing it so those of us on dinosaur machines can play. I wish nothing but good things your way Obsidian bros. I even hope Josh's hair grows back.
