if its an ati card, try older version drivers. for whatever reason, that worked best for kotor1 so it might work for kotor2.

about equal. theres some things i liked better about kotor 1, and some i liked better about kotor 2. i might lean towards kotor 1, but i think thats more due to nostalgia, so i voted equal since i had a great time playing (and replaying) both games.

thats another rumor, but that one is dependent on when the series is set in the timeline. one of the rumors had the series being between episode 3 and 4, thus it wouldnt make sense for luke to be around then (other than as a young boy, which i doubt hamill could portray). but another rumor has hamill taking on his roll as luke skywalker again, but this time as an aged jedi master tutoring students in his jedi academy.

this changes due to what im currently playing or what im currently interested in (1 to 3 rotate depending on what im in the mood for): 1-nwn (expansions + user made mods + mp capability) 2-kotor 1 3-kotor 2 4-planescape: torment 5-ootp baseball series 6-ea sports hockey series (starting with sega genesis to the current versions) 7-madden football series 8-civlization series 9-grand theft auto series (especially vice city and the one before it) 10-baldurs gate series (just started a new game)

*sigh* and if only fable were actually 1/10th the game it was hyped up to be. as for jade empire, you bet your booty im looking forward to it, hype or not.

the character on the main page, yes. i never looked at screenshots or whatnot, just saw that guy with the sword on the main page and thought "fable?".

hehe i did a google search on him when i read this. interesting character. id heard mentions of him in novels, but i never knew where he first showed up (comics? cartoon?).

he tells you everything. during my last darkside play through he admitted everything to me aboard the ebon hawk (since i never take him off the ship).

so i take it it was part of a minor quest or plot that was cut short then?

i still say the best time period for the game is one in which there isnt already much existing material. that way the developers have the freedom to write their own story without having to worry about all the existing material.

looking at the character on the main page and reading the brief synopsis, roots looks and sounds a lot like fable.

this one would have been especially important to have included in some kind of speech or cutscene, atleast explaining all three characters. as far as i recall, we werent actually told this in-game by anyone. or were we...

imo, i think this was supposed to be another minor quest that was related to mandalore, but possibly cut short due to time constraints. i found it odd that you didnt even get experience points for getting the nar shadaa and dantooine mandalorians to go to dxun, which tells me it probably was a side quest that was cut short/eliminated, but that parts of it remained in the game (much like hk-47 talking so much about the droid factory, but us never getting to see it).

id heard rumblings that he was going to be directing a star wars television series starting in 2006, but so far no official confirmation/denial from lucasfilms.

uh? this is assuming a darkside ending, is it not? therefore the planet doesnt blow up when you choose the darkside ending. all it does is pan out through the core of the planet, up to space then the credits roll.

nice accomplishment. i wonder if that figure would have been even more impressive had the xbox version not been released first. as it is, some pc gamers probably bought the xbox version and thus didnt bother with the pc version. whereas if they were released simultaneously, or if the xbox version didnt exist, those same people might have bumped the total pc sales even higher.

she looks kick ass in those shots. its a shame they removed it.

probably because it was meant as a question & answer thread during development. but since it has been released, theres enough threads to ask questions of the game post-release.

id like to see another series set anytime it wont conflict with already established stuff from the movies. for example, the "revan/exile saga" is, what, 4000 years before episode iv? so i wouldnt mind seeing another series set maybe 2000 years later. that way its far enough after the kotor series that there is freedom to write a completely new story, and far enough before the prequel movies that it doesnt step on any toes. or, i would like to see a series set much after return of the jedi, possibly 200 or more years. again so that it has as much freedom as possible without having to worry about ruining existing stuff.
