You would have a hard time convincing anybody, that the original non 3d accellerated Tomb Raider game was pleasing on the eye. Sort of like two triangular polygons making out the chest area Taste, subjective be thy name (or some such), Some people just prefer women with class, leaving the spoiled, the arrogant and the hypocritical ones behind... For me, the original was about adventure and exploration more than anything else. It made a fine job of that for it's time.

Virtual Blank gives you +20 virtual TOMBS points for your successful conversion of "the Freedom of Speech thread" to "a religion thread". Anybody else seeing the amusing in a freedom of speech thread arguing against religion opressing freedom of speech beeing turned into a thread about religion due to the freedom of speech ?

Overall, franchise wise, it would be the Leviathan. In K2 specifically, it would be Telos.

Speaking of "Image"... I hope their backup procedures have improved since those early days In the beginning was The Guildmaster. And The Guildmaster was lonely, so on the first day, he created the forums. And so the forums came into being, somewhere around 2004. And The Guildmaster saw that it was good. On the second day, He said: "Let there be a dark theme" and the boards had a dark skin applied to them. On the third day, The Guildmaster created the sections and the forums and it was good. On the fourth day, The Guildmaster created the testuser and there was much nonsense posted and deleted and The Guildmaster rejoiced. On the fifth day, The Guildmaster appointed his archangel, Seraphim and his henchmen to run the boards and the Guildmaster was happy. On the sixth day, The Guildmaster opened the forums for the public and many more user accounts were created. The Guildmaster was now beginning to worry. On the seventh day, The Guildmaster saw that the boards was getting much more populated than anticipated and some technical stuff had to be done (all praise His Geekness!). On the eighth day, the world almost imploded onto itself, ancient knowledge being lost forever and many second generation users being swallowed by singularities in the multiverse. On the ninth day, the forums were patched up and sort of working again and The Guildmaster could wipe the sweat from his brow. On the tenth day, there was much mourning for the fallen and the lost, and the users wondered if their universe would ever be the same again. The Guildmaster assured that it was all part of a masterplan to ensure the survival of the user race. Occasionally, users with funny green tags will write things that other users will peruse with great interest and declare either gospel or insanity. Not really sure what to make of the users with the orange tags though, some of seems to be ordinary users with superhuman powers, others seems to have had that tag all their lives...

I loved the first game. Unfortunately, it's only hardware support is Glide and some other proprietary format. No directx support The second one was an OK game. Nice, but not quite as fun as the first one. The third one was crap. The fourth one sucked. The fifth one was ugly and bugridden beyond description. I am, if nothing else, stubborn " Didn't try the sixth one, Angel of Darkness, but I am curious as to what they'll come up with next, if they expect people to actually touch that franchise with a firepoker again...

Well, if anybody knows what a 1 foot rabbit weighs, we can perhaps just multiply by 3 and see if it's a good approximation ?

Saw that one on tv. Perhaps the Lebanese have suffered enough war and conflict on their own bodies to realise that war, fighting and killings sucks ? Isn't it quite convenient that embassy burnings in Damascus and Beirut has fanned the flames and created renewed unrest in Lebanon, causing the old feuds between warring parties to ignite again, hurting, amongst others, those who are against Syria's involvement in Lebanon "

That post was kindof weird... Join the peace movement for the furthering of tolerance and understanding

Well, lets just say, the series had more bite. And yes, the girls are generally good looking :">

So, you are advocating violence as an adequate response ? And the last part of that statement is too garbled to understand

I liked the series much better than the movie. Not that the movie wasn't decent, the series just had more oomph!

Bunnyzilla! At least it doesn't have red eyes...

Except for 90% of the guys on this forum.. Somebody is going to be very surprised when they discover the nature of the promised 72 virgins... :D On the subject actually discussed. I just saw the two videos of one of the resident socalled Imams. The one showing what he told the danish population what he was going to say to the muslim viewers and the one from Al Jazeera (I think thats the one) what he actually said. Abu Laban the Goat Humper is apparantly a lying son of a bitch and nobody probably wonders anymore why people are upset, if thats the crap that has been spouting when his associates were touring the muslim countries gathering support for their personal outrage at the publication of the pictures. I wonder how much it would take to get traitors like that expelled in other countries ?

Meh, the damn leper, deserves to suffer for all that self pity. Heck, I felt self pity after having read all of that endless selfpity that was Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, wielder of self pity White Gold. I can't really say that I hate the drizzit, having read the cleric quintet or some such, not remembering much beside a dark elf, a barbarian and a red haired chick Wasn't until I played BG2 that I remembered it again.

Whatever happened to the game that never was, "Infinity Wars" ? >_

I'm not going to argue vehemently that it is a fact, but I'm pretty convinced from the history books that I've put my hands on so far, that Hitler's beef with Jews was as an ethnic group, not a religious group. The same way he persectuted gypsies and other "undesirables". The old propaganda materials I've seen so far, emphasises and ridicules ethnical traits, not religious ones.

IIRC, you can see that on your laptop under "Personnel".

Tried that game for a while, borrowing gear from my little brother and his team. Talk about souped up weapons. A short burst could make dents in a Cola can on 15 meters It was pretty obvious from the yelps and whimpering when someone was hit :D

Obsidian's Feargus Urquhart at RPG Codex forum

I might have mixed it up with Fallout 2 a bit. Been years since I played Fallout. Perhaps I've forgotten enough to enjoy another go at it  I do seem to remember in one of the games though, that you could select target priorities like attack who is attacking me, attack who is closest, attack random etc. And weapon priorities was melee vs ranged and aggressiveness (stupid hero to abject coward) and other stuff. I really missed something like that in Kotor (1&2). Curious about what they come up with regarding such options for NWN2. -

Not exactly, but it definitely did have some more interesting AI options for party members. Like distance to you, weapon preference, target priorities, behaviour etc. -
And miss out on some fun tunnel fighting ? It's pretty low key you know, a bunch of critters, that even fit decently into the main story, Deidranna doing some weird genetic research thing below underneath the bloodcat research facility.

Sometimes, a (mentally stable) monarch is a good patron for a democratic system. She just sits there, observes, comments and is by the way head of the armed forces and wields absolute power (together with the rest of the "Reichs Council" in case of martial law. The politicians better do their damned best to keep things civil and avoid that
