NWN2: Patch Discussion
It isn't really "public" as you can't find it with the official updater tool. I think it's mostly for the geeks who hang around message boards and look for the information and availability of patches. Who knows, they might or might not listen to the feedback they get from the voluntary beta testers

The Beeb was the best 8 bit computer ever. Unfortunately it never got the software support it deserved (I had one too for a while) :'(

Canada is spying on the US!!!
Awsesome I wonder if it could be turned into a SWAT type weapon... Bad guy hiding behind concrete wall? No problem, aim the Tarna device in his direction and hit the "On" switch. He should be medium rare in 60 seconds Edit: @Jorian: Hey, the Hungarians are famous for their umbrella technique

Canada is spying on the US!!!
Wouldn't it also destroy the microwave? ^_^ Perhaps they (the Canadians) were trying to flood the market slowly. If all coins ended up having transmitters, there would be nowhere to hide. The masters of industrial espionage would suddenly be the ones spied upen  Edit: Can we have Hans Island when you are done mauling the canadians?

NWN2 English 1.04 Beta is released!
I hope he finishes it in NWN2. I for one would like to try it (and there is a snowballs chance in hell, that I would buy an expansion for NWN1 to be able to play it)

The Worst Game Endings
I used to win it it all the time. I always hated the lack of a save and reload options in that game

Tons of Lego. It made for excellent outdoor toys too. The sandbox was 80% sand and 20% Lego :"> Everything from crawlers over walkers to sailing devices. First powered by rubber bands (as was most catapult type Lego devices) to electrical powered ones ("overclocked", using the 12v electric train powersupply to drive the old 4.5v electric Lego engines). Apart from that, a bit of "Action Man" and a *lot* of plastic kits from grand old names like Airfix and Matchbox. I think that at one time, I had the complete sortiment that those two companies offered. If not, then prety close Add to that, the little chemist set, easy access to charcoal, nitrates, sulphur and other interesting stuff (and some long dead relative who left behind a bag of cordite) :D

The Worst Game Endings
Good endings. So rare, let's see: Defender of the Crown - In true Cinemaware Style PS:T - Yeah, sort of nice. Would have been even nicer with more possible end result cinematics? Forbidden Forest - Riverdance meets 8 bit graphics (the music was awesome though) Tombraider - While the FMV's might look pretty archaic a decade later, they were impressive back then Sadly a short list for now of those that springs to mind. I might remember more later after watching a few other contributions.

The Worst Game Endings
Agreed. I just thought spotting the good ones might be more challenging

It must be said ...
They should introduce the Haka for the cricket team. It might help

The Worst Game Endings
Wouldn't it be much easier to have a thread for Well Made endings? Way too many games out there with sloppy/unsatisfactory/unfinished/unpolished/unimaginative/whatever endings... Kotor2... Check! Nwn2... Check! Throne of Bhaal... Check! Unreal II... Check! Pac-Man... Check! Pirates!... Check! Tombraider: Legends... Check! Those who have completed them can probably also add Oblivion, NWN OC, (insert popular franchise here) etc.

The funny videos thread
yeah I was really stunned by that.. But the only other country than USA, I could think of that started with a U, was Uruguay .. and I'm not even sure that's a country.. ^_^ Uganda, Ukraine, United Kingdoms, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and the obvious (for those in the interview) United States of America. Are there more?

What a Baby is Alive?
I disagree that it is an irrelevant issue. Agreeing or disagreeing on that point of view can be part of establishing whether or not a fetus is an individual. Just as the argument for or against using self awareness as a means of determining "rights" for individuals. I don't think it's possible to come up with a simple set of ethical values by which it can be judged whether or not a fetus is alive (I'll refrain from using the word Baby from the the thread title as it is obviously biased). A set of arguments can be presented and in the end, the total weight of arguments and the weight you put on the arguments will determine your oppinion. I'll take the word from a mother or a mother to be over somebody who either only listens to himself or narrowmindedly repeats some doctrine any day of the week. Unfortunately, those individuals whose oppionion I would appreciate seems to be notably absent from these kind of threads. Thats the one, yes
